'Cut Here' at Denver Riot Fest 2014

Cut Here - Denver, Riot Fest 20-Sep-2014 from itsaperfectday on Vimeo.

Thanks to Olivier at it's a perfect day. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you, Robert!

That was only the 6th time 'Cut Here' has been played live (though one was a Simon Mayo radio session). 2 times in 2001 (was also "played" on Top of the Pops in Germany, but wasn't live), 3 times in 2002. Last was July 23rd, 2002 in Rome. This is the 1st time it's been played in the US.

    1. I'll admit Cut Here was awfully produced and it almost kills the song, but on its own the track is one of their more beautiful songs over the last 20 years.

  6. Keyboard line very low or non existent. Was it more audible in person Craig?

  8. I feel honored to have heard it... I thought Roger looked good! I seemed energetic with the tambourine at the edge of the stage. What a show! And Olivier rocks! Love the video!!!

  9. Well there's always someone who loves it...this to me is their worst single and b-side. I can't stand either. If I want boring average Joe rock songs I'll turn to similar things, like Journey.

  10. I had chills and goosebumps as soon as I recognized it, and throughout the song. I have always loved this song. It's so intimate and personal to Robert's life, and I had a hard time not crying when it came on. You are right Craig, this song backed with Lovesong was a really emotional moment in the show. I loved it.

  11. Always thought it was an awful song - but kudos to RS for throwing another rare bone to his hardcore fans.

  12. he always says he needs to believe in the song/ lyrics to be able to sing them. Maybe it's just me, (getting older and more emotional:), but I think he sang about himself here. Or at least was able to perform it to look this way. And this is actually the greatness of The Cure...to make a simple, pop (almost unrecognizable) song into a touching experience.
