That's really excellent. Nice Japanese guitar band, yay! Reminds me a little of Angel'in Heavy Syrup. Infinitely better than that Adam Levine schmuck singing Lovesong.
You gotta have a lot of guts if you're gonna cover the Cure. You gotta jump in the deep end with your boots on, not wade around in the kiddie pool in your Crocs! Just ask J Mascis. (this opinion brought to you by the Jesus and Mary Chain.)
Meh.. It's not the definitive version, as Robert would say.. :p
ReplyDeleteNo one does a better cover than Scarlett Johansson Boys Don't Cry. Nobody!
ReplyDeleteCrap... Yuck... Distasteful...
ReplyDeleteMusical arrangements is very good (I hardly recognized the tune at first! :-) ), but it takes a lot to get accustomed to the singer's voice
ReplyDeleteSimply Amazing!!

ReplyDeleteVery interesting...and not in a bad way at all! :)
ReplyDeleteReally nice take on the tune, glad to see it taken to different places (figuratively and literally). Gonna have to check out some more Taffy, I guess!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the essence of the Cure´s music: a dark sound structure and fragile voice singing about breaking, lonely hearts...
ReplyDeleteThis is very very very good.
ReplyDeletetotally agree other Jeff
ReplyDeleteVery good cover. My two favorite things coming together, Japan and The Cure.
