Cure on UK Festival Awards shortlist

The Cure are finalists in the Headline Performance of the Year category for the UK Festival Awards. The winners will be announced on Dec. 3rd. Article about this at Gigwise. (Thanks Yanic and David)

Update: Via , New Order have won Best Headline Performance at tonight's UK Festival Awards, beating out The Cure.

    I hope this doesn't discourage Robert and the boys for more concerts. I seriously think this is the British Geocentric Scorn towards festivals in Europe, where actually The Cure did way better than New Order, but anyway...

    they ( the awards people) knew with days prior Robert wouldnt attend so... maybe thats why they thought about New O...but yeah... British media can be quite ...bother.

    Robert did pay attention asking fans to vote for The Cure and is surely happy for New Order.

    i saw New Order about 2 months ago here in NY...and if they won this kind of award, based off the show I saw? The judging panel were obviously deaf and probably partly sighted as well.
