Good news!
ReplyDeleteI got my Bestival CD last week but I was deeply dissapointed by the sound... too noisy and raw and the drums were so thin. I hope this broadcast was remixed and improved.
This is the part that caught my attention:
ReplyDelete"Length 2 hours"
Just throwing it out there...
I wish somebody would record this and share it haha, I am yet to see the hour long broadcast!
ReplyDeleteI'm also desperately hoping someone will record it and share! I'd love to see the full broadcast as I was unable to attend the show itself.
ReplyDeleteIs this 2 hrs of the cure? When they showed it live the broadcast was 2hrs but only about 20 mins of the cure were shown. Please don't tell me I have to sit through that ginger whining kid again?
ReplyDeleteI believe it's a full 2 hours of The Cure.
ReplyDeleteThanks Craig. I checked the EPG for sky arts and it is definitely just the cure. Yay!
ReplyDeleteBestival cd is 2 1/2 hours long, so, which 1/2 hour of the show will be edited out?

ReplyDeleteThe drums already sound better than the album.
ReplyDeleteJason really should give Robert a kick in the arse. He ruins his drumming in production

Thank you so much, Barry and Mark! Always interesting to see what gets cut and what makes it. Interesting that it was 3 Disintegration tracks that were cut from the main set.
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe a little preview of something we'll be hearing at the festival shows this year? Part of the 20th anniversary celebration for Wish?
ReplyDeleteIt sounded like a single guitar version of the main riff from "Tape", possibly an isolated guitar channel from the live intro to "Open" which Robert may have played.
ReplyDeletethe sound is very ungly a order guitar player maybe? the cure need one ! only me opinion!

ReplyDeletePlainsong, Fascination Street, Disintegration, and the second encore were not broadcast.
ReplyDeleteIronic that Sky's promo mentioned Boys Don't Cry :p
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome did anyone record it and have it as a torrent?
ReplyDeleteWe watched the 3d version so much better than when we were actually there!
ReplyDeleteWe watched the 3d version so much better than when we were actually there!
ReplyDeleteI am dumfounded at the lack of requests for a torrent
ReplyDeleteI Imagine that everyone's waiting for F~D to post it...
ReplyDeleteI agree....where, oh where is a torrent of this? Someone has to step up to the plate and offer this to all of us!
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying that anyone has to share it, I'm just surprised that hardly anyone is asking and that the comments seem to have just stopped, just odd is all
ReplyDeletei will patiently wait for someone to convert the broadcast...as long as someone out is doing it. i hope. i hope. i've been looking for a download/torrent but can't find any yet. please someone share.
ReplyDeleteJust sent to me this morning:
ReplyDeletehttp://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7086306/The_Cure_-_Live_At_Bestival_2011

ReplyDeleteany chance someone might upload it somewhere else? we can't access Pirate Bay in Italy...
ReplyDeleteok i managed to get it anyway. but does anybody has a better quality recording of it to put up? i don't wanna sound ungrateful to the person who uploaded this one, but the video looks like a streming recording and the audio is very very very low.
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the Piratebay version.
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to sound ungrateful, but it looks more like a stream rip than something recorded from the TV.
I too hope a watchable version pops up.
It's a quite interesting post.
ReplyDeleteBirthday Flowers
Thank you!
