    I devojured pretty much every Robert Smith press interview in the 80's (& since!) don't ever remember him sayimg he liked Prefab Sprout. No idea where he got that from. Interesting how that period in UK music is interpreted through modern American ears. U2 were loathed by then by Cure fans as well. They were seen as tedious & mainstream.
