Andy Samberg as Robert Smith on SNL
(Thanks Aaron)
On tonight's episode of Saturday Night Live (Anne Hathaway hosting), Andy Samberg played Robert Smith in the "Horse Play Soundtrack" sketch. If you recorded it and want to get right to it, it was the final sketch of the show, after the 2nd song from Florence and the Machine. And I'm sure it will be up at NBC, Hulu, or YouTube soon.

HAH!
ReplyDeleteIs that what passes for humour these days? Very poor.
ReplyDeletei thought the cranberries bit was humorous, actually.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite possibly the lamest thing I have ever seen. I'd like those seconds of my life back now please.
ReplyDeleteI actually thought the Randy Newman and Cranberries were clever. The rest pretty lame. Typical SNL skit. Hit the funny part early, then went on for another 5 minutes of unfunny.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I thought it was funny.
ReplyDeleteYea...SNL has gone downhill.
ReplyDeleteThey tend to leave the "worst" bits for the end of the show...
ReplyDeleteIs the band still together? It seems like we haven't heard a thing about upcoming Cure music in a few years now.
ReplyDeleteyaaaaaaaaaaaawn*
ReplyDeletereminds me of the sort of stuff that i might of found funny when i was 6 or 7 years old.
but, hey! keeps roberts profile in the public eye, though it may be a bit stereotypical [ well a lot ]
The one thing I can say about SNL is that their hair and make-up ppl are usually very good. But I must say, has RS ever-ever-ever wore that shade of lipstick? Err... no, he wears F'ing RED, bright damn RED, lipstick. WTF? Idiots. I too want those minutes of my life back.
