  1. Just saw on the news that Odeon, by far the biggest cinema chain in the UK, will be boycotting it. Great.

  2. Well, that's just the film. At least they're not boycotting the song. : )

  3. What's with Bunny Lake?

Oh and yeah Odeon should be pissed off, Disney should not release the film that quickly onto DVD. It's a cheap money saving tactic that can put people out of jobs.

  4. I must have missed it, what was the first time that Bunny Lake was mentioned?

Also - "Lost Music"? Very interesting!!!!

  5. ...Sorry for the double post but what is "Lost music"? Is that a new label that Robert/and/or The Cure is now under?

  6. I think Lost Music is his publishing company, though it might encompass more than that. Lost Music Ltd. was also credited on the Live in Paris 2008 tv special.

  7. Ohhh "Lost Music" is intriguing =)

(re: Odeon - I doubt I'll get to see Alice on the big-screen now. The only cinemas I know of around here are Odeon. Pissed off does not cover how I feel right now.)

    As you were.

  8. But now we know where he/she is. With RS! : )

  9. There is an Austrian band called Bunny Lake. Think Goldfrapp.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yeah, but RS's Bunny Lake has been credited as a photographer, engineer, and other things.

  11. Wouldn't it be funny if it was a giant Rabbit that followed Robert about like in Harvey or Donnie Darko?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Donnie Darko was actually the first thing I thought of when I saw the name...

  13. haha, and to repeat what heron said, when was bunny lake first mentioned?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Not sure of the first mention, but I know he/she was credited in the booklets for some/all of the remastered cds.

  15. hmmm i'll have to check through my booklets sometime

  16. I think Bunny Lake is Lol, he is often mention as ; other things or other instruments . . .

  17. Hmmm, "Bunny" took photos going all the way back to Three Imaginary Boys. And did "vocal engineering" on songs that Robert likely recorded on his own/at home. (Junkie XL, Very Good Advice) "Bunny" also was listed as an executive producer for 'The Cure' album.

Seems like there's a good guess in there somewhere.

  19. Someone casually mentioned this earlier

book / film called 'bunny lake is missing'

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunny_Lake_Is_Missing?wasRedirected=true

my guess is that it's M

  20. not the Austrian band called Bunny Lake, not the film, not a silly blond girl, sometimes called Bunny Lake... just the old Bunny Lake, who used to work with The Cure from long ago... 17 seconds era... That's my guess.

  21. From what I read Bunny Lake was a movie based on book, that very much seems like the type of book that Robert would like.
I like the song so maybe we'll see more songs produced and recorded by RS@Home. Maybe this will be a good way around all the B.S. that comes from the labels

  22. I found this:

Not a lot info about bunny lake on the net - kinda like Mary, its a mystery...

  23. I'm very happy with this thing of Lost Music.
If it's really a publishing company, his lyrics (and music?) will always be his, and not subject to 'someone else's' interests, like the Fiction episode.
So we fans may NOT see... say... a Monsanto 'health' ad with a Cure song.
Or am I wrong about the job of a publishing company???
But what happened with Smith Song???

  24. I understand what you are saying but i would not call the Fiction years an episode...even if the end wasn't a happy one...it brought some great music and is therefore relevant,me thinks

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh, no, Perfect, when I said "episode" I just meant that occasion when Robert had to hide his tapes not to lose his rights to the songs (at least this is the way I remember reading somewhere)

Even with my blurry mind couldn't say at all that the Fiction years were irrelevant - just the opposite! How I miss that :)
