ReplyDeleteI can´t wait to hear the 3 previously unreleased songs and the 12-tracks Entreat.
Do you have more images of the booklet ?
;)
Thanks for the covers. I can't wait for this!
ReplyDeleteThe extras disc cover looks SWEET
ReplyDeleteMore than beautiful, c'est magnifique!

ReplyDeleteAs everybody can see, the pic for the extra cd is from Lullaby video..and i wonder if we´ll see great shots of The Prayer Tour and lots of pics of that era.

can't wait to hold it in my hands!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited its unreal!!!
ReplyDeletereally? i think the extras is pretty lame. i guess rs hasn't let andy back in the sandbox then...
ReplyDeleteAny updates of what the ideal copy surprise is?
ReplyDeleteAlex: I think we might have a pretty good guess now. : )

ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this now I've seen that! I just remembered the amazing feeling i got each time i bought the Remasters..
ReplyDeletei am so excited for this release. thank you for the cover art! now i know it is really happening!
ReplyDeleteTa, Craig! That was a nice birthday present to wake up to!! I'll be in the UK when this comes out so it will be great to get a copy where the music was made (That sounded a bit wanky then, didn't it?!??)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, notherbob! : )
ReplyDeleteTa very much! Just a quick one.. JBHIFI AU release date says Feb 12, is that correct? Everywhere else says March
ReplyDeleteFeb. was the original release date, but was pushed back a month.
ReplyDeleteTo Notherbob: No that doesnt sound wanky, just very lucky!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday~
Craig: Where did this info come from, the bit about the other remasters forthcoming to be precise?
Where is the 20th Anniversary DVD Robert? I wonder if Tim Pope interviewed Roger as part of that?
so many questions.....time warp to March thanks!
is the promo sampler floating around anywhere yet?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait! I also can't wait to see what my bonus will be from Ideal Copy! SO EXCITED!!!! ;0)
ReplyDeleteI second with Paul... when, where, and how can we get the Promo Sampler?
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a [legitimate] way to get the 12-track Entreat with the Vinyl... without having to buy the album twice. :(
ReplyDeleteStephanie: I'm guessing the sampler might be the bonus item that Ideal Copy mentioned. : )
ReplyDeleteHappy B-DAY Notherbob! - you might like to try JBHIFI in Perth, I hear that they sometimes release stuff EARLY. But i'm only talking a day or two, 1 month would probably be pushing it ;)
ReplyDeleteHow excited am I about all these 2010 releases? Lots (to the power of a hundred fucking billion)
Wow! Very exciting!
ReplyDeleteBlast from the Past! This is amazing! Makes me feel like I'm 14 again!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first Cure album ever, so the feeling here is really powerful indeed.
...and Lullaby is the song and videoclip that introduced them to me, so that cover shot for the extras is... extra special!
Maybe bonus is disintegration live from trilogy on CD??? Maybe it's just wishful thinking...
ReplyDeleteNotherbob- you live on planet Perth? Where?? You'll have to catch up with the Perth cure crew one day...
I'm actually pretty disappointed in this. Where are all the unreleased tracks? I rarely care about "alternative" versions of songs and I don't consider "live" versions to be "new" songs. I thought there would be a number of unreleased songs. Instead it just looks like we get the original album, alternative versions of the original album, and an album of live tracks. FIngers crossed that we get more from the remastered Wish (hint hint, Lost Wishes).
ReplyDeleteHello JPX
ReplyDeleteLost Wishes is def included on Wish...it came from the man himself.....I am going to be bold and take his word for it.....we will see
@JPX: "All" the unreleased tracks are on there, according to Roger O'Donnell. From his "DISINTEGRATION - Memories of making the album...":
ReplyDelete"Only one song was never used, Pauls song “Another Delirious Night” which is I am sure going to be on the re release which comes out in 2010"
And I would just like to personally add that I found Mr. O'Donnell to be an EXCEPTIONALLY friendly and polite individual. He deserves many thanks for sharing his memories of the making of the album.
@JPX
ReplyDeleteNoHeart
Esten
Delirious Night
are all on the "extras" disc. these are three unreleased songs from the album sessions
One's a demo, ones a band rehersal and ones a rough vocal demo. That's all there is...they can't magic finished versions of of then air if they were never done at the time.
I hope the Mixed Up reissue includes all of the (as yet still unreleased outside of the occasional compilation) 12" extended mixes. Primary, In Between Days, Close to Me, Lovecats, Just One Kiss, etc etc etc... I want nice remastered copies of THOSE!
ReplyDeleteThat looks fucking epic...
ReplyDeleteCannot wait! :D
Thanks heaps for all the well wishes, guys! Had an awesome day :)
ReplyDelete@exploding boy: I hail from Greenwood and would be up for a Disintergration Deluxe Edition listening party.. Sound good?!
I know Swifty, A Letter to Elise and Brad (can't think of his COF name, or is he Swifty?!?? *confused*) are all from Oz, are they from Perth too?
*looks at explodingboy's profile* Oh so YOU'RE Brad!! Don't mind me, having an "old" moment.. Going senile AND having conversations with myself on COF.. :p
ReplyDeleteI see you're friends with Perry on FB too.. :)
Attention : Perthites - I plan to have DISINT/3CD ED. in my greedy little hands before you guys are even out of bed. E-mail me your phone numbers though and I'll call you at breakfast and let you listen to it on the blower. I'll even CRANK IT RIGHT UP so you'll be choking on your corn flakes/wheat bix!

ReplyDeletewell , don't belive it befor i have in my hands . .
Still my biggest dream is to have the intro from the kissing tour 'eyemou' in studio version . .
Anybody out there who got that ? ?
give my left arm for that ;o)
Holy Guacamole! This is going to be fantabulous! Looking forward to March!
ReplyDeleteNo more delays on this puppy, or heads will roll! :)
@Notherbob
ReplyDeletesounds good. Send me a message via facebook so we can arrange. (couldn't find you on fb)
Hi everybody
ReplyDeleteto Lars: I don't have a studio version(and doubt anyone does), but I have some some bootlegs with very good sound, and here I found two Eyemous, please download here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/89wkjz
23 Oct 1987 - Stockholm
7 Dec 1987 - London
I hope I could help...
So what ever happened to the surround mix that was done for this (and Wish) a few years ago? I don't really care for 5.1 mixes of studio albums, but this is different...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sleepy, Go, and Keith. I always like to fantasize that there are endless unreleased Cure tracks that we will get over a lifetime. I know I have no right to complain, but damnit, I want more new Cure tracks! I'm psyched to hear that Lost Wishes will be on the remastered Wish!
ReplyDeleteThanks Craig. I wish the other nights of Wembley were included on this. Would love a remastered version of A Forest from 7.24.89.
ReplyDeleteI strangely believe there will be more things to enjoy than Disintegration reissue this year...
ReplyDeleteYes. like the Good Shoes album out today...
ReplyDeletethe ideal copy "extra" better not be that sampler...how dumb would that be to get an extra disc containing samples from the very disc I ordered to get the extra incentive when I shelled out half the price of a cd extra to order it through them instead of getting it cheaper somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteTodd: If you're not interested in the sampler, yeah, you probably should go ahead and cancel your order with Ideal Copy, because unless something changes, that's what it's going to be.
ReplyDeleteFor UK people on current conversion rates it would be about the same price inc postage + bonus item, so I might pre order very soon!
ReplyDeleteBREAKING (OFF TOPIC) NEWS.
ReplyDeleteRobert Smith has a solo track on Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland film.
The track is called "Very Good Advice".
Thanks, Andrew. Just posted it. : )
ReplyDeleteUrgh! I hate covers with a pic of Robert on it! It serves me up!
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is going on with the UK amazon one?
ReplyDeleteIn 'Don't Shoot the Messenger News' ... It now looks like the release date of the Universal Records reissue editions of Disintegration will be March 30 and the Rhino editions will be a week later on April 6th.
ReplyDeletewait wait so why is amazon uk suddenly mad cheap?
