Melissa Auf der Maur reminisces about her time on the Curiosa Tour. But it's Close To Me, not Close To You. That was a Carpenters song. Whole different thing. : P (Thanks Mark)
Curiosa was a very cool idea for what it was at the time. I liked seeing Mogwai and Interpol open. But what works best is simply a good 3 and 1/2 hour Cure set that takes you through future, present, and past. Seeing My Bloody Valentine open for The Cure this year at Coachella is something that will never be matched. Curiosa or not, Just bring on more Cure.
Yeah that, and I'm missing the Christmas spirit around here, too. I feel as if someone dropped coal in my CoF stocking. And then there's the official site, where Robert once extended holiday greetings... his personal touches, e.g., the Brights banner, are gone; I think he's abandoned his own site. Bah! Humbug! :-(
Merry Christmas, Christian. Sorry I was a bit late this year, but there was actual Cure news for once, and I didn't want to bury that under the decorations. : )

ReplyDeleteWell said, RH factor!
ReplyDeleteHey - Merry Christmas, everybody! Anyone else missing the festive garland Craig used to festoon the old site with? ;)
