Fade Away: The Early Years vinyl

Been getting a lot of inquiries about this release, and it looks to be another repackaging of the previously released Russian vinyl editions that Vinyl Lovers/Lilith put out in 2007, much like the Into The Dark set I posted about back in July, but possibly with the bonus tracks from the new remastered cds. More info on it here (though their track list is wrong. See the comments for the full list). (Thanks to everyone who emailed about this)

    craig just to be clear , this ttrack listing is for the fade away set ,, not the into the dark set wwhich is just single albums not doubles..

    Hey, Scott, Have you seen how often Morrissey repackages his own solo stuff? How many b-sides collections must this guy release?

    Can't believe he tried to screw over the bass player and drummer of The Smiths by allowing them only 10% each on The Smiths albums, when they did help write the songs. Those guys are wallowing. He also tried to get the drummer to fire Johnny Marr's replacement alone when things didn't work out. Morrissey's gotta be the most selfish guy around.

    I don't think the Smiths quote was in reference to the Cure's greed (I could be wrong), but thanks for sharing your opinion of Morrissey.

    Does anyone know how the vinyl lovers vinyl sound??? I am thinking about the Faith 180 gram deluxe version, but I am worried it may not sound that good.

    if its colored vinyl, then it sounds like garbage. if its a bootleg, then its probably mastered from a digital source and sounds even worse.

    The Vinyl Lovers double LPs are from Russia, and are legitimately licensed from Universal if I'm not mistaken. Vinyl Lovers is an off-shoot of Lilith. So unless this isn't actually made by Vinyl Lovers/Lilith, it is not a bootleg. Right?

    There was only one Russian vinyl released back in 90's and it's TIB.
    I'm not a vinyl collector, but if anything like this set would appear I'm sure info on it would be available amongst fans. But I've never heard from anyone here in Russia about it.

    Suppose I've made my opinion little too fast. From what I've manage to find about Vinil Lovers/Lilith it seems like they might have a licence from Universal. No info on masters they use though.
    In the interview wth Lilth boss she mentioned rights policies and licenses. So now I guess they are not bootlegers.
    But there is only TIB in the catalogue on Lilith's website. (Site don't seem being up to date though).
    And I don't know what to think about this
