I would really like to win those dumb dog tags. Since they stopped in CA at the end of that tour, they were sold out well before I ever got the chance to buy them.
Aww! It's not dumb if you really want it. I know the feeling. When I was little, I always wanted a Dylan McKay doll but they were sold out by the time my dumb mother went to get me one. So I got a Brandon doll instead. I didn't rest until I got a Dylan doll when I was 20. Then after I got it, I felt complete. And could have cared less.
I kinda want the rose necklace. I've seen them float about on Ebay from time to time...but never really could make myself spend that kind of cash on a piece of jewelry like that.
i didnt know they had a an official magazine!!!!! id heard only of the fan zines like Other Voices. i wish it could be put up for people to see online!
and cure calling cards? never heard of that either!
Sofia, you should have bid more money. There's nothing unfair about sniping, because if the item is worth more money to you than the other bidder, the sniping program won't do them any good. Why don't you just bid what's it's actually worth to you, and bid once and only once? Otherwise you're essentially bidding against yourself.
More items added at http://shop.ebay.co.uk/ian-reid/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= including the 14 cd Pink Pig set, photos, press releases and cards.
That video was awesome! Here is a brief post on the group's blog about how the POY cover is what they chose to be the spotlight video on today's YouTube homepage. :) So cool.
Oooooh!!! Autumn, I think I might have to bid on that BDC New Voice New Mix poster!!! I've been looking for one everywhere, as I like it's large size and the arrangement of the words!
For the love of God, what is going on with the band? I can't understand why Robert allows his official site to languish - would it kill him to post a sentence or 2 once a month to let the fan base know what's new? How about that Christmas album?
Some very good prices being paid for Cure memorabilia lately..and that's nice to see.As a collector of both records and memorabilia, it's good to have a healthy market especially during a fairly dormant time for the band.I was unfortunatly outbid on most of it but it's a proof of the enduring appeal the band has..not that it is anything new, i am sure you'll all agree.
Oh wow I just realized that I forgot to log out of the username I had to make for my chemistry class blog (frenchtoast) when I posted here. I'm TheFigure_head hehe. But good to know autumn, I'm looking for a great Cure poster that will eventually survive me moving into college in a year and a half or so :)
I wish they would release "In Orange" and "Show" on DVD. I was just outbid on "In Orange", I have a problem spending too much money on a VCD thats not even guaranteed to work.
@Ross there is a good DVD boot of "in orange" around ripped from the laserdisc. i have it somewhere... meaning i couldn't find it.. (too many bootlegs etc) i'm sure it'd look/sound better than the VCD... but hell yeah an official blu-ray would be the real deal for me.
Hello - live in Sheffield UK and joined the blog thingy because I've an old Love Cats miss press I'm selling. I didn't just want it to go to any old body if I'm honest - rather it went to someone who know and loves them.
A class band - never sold out and for that I have a respect for the Cure - memories of good times at the Limit Club in Sheffield - a dank, dark place
This is the link to the record http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250587106430
Hopefully you'll see why I'm selling and what make this such a one off.
Am happy to give any more info/pics should anyone be interested.

Exploding Cure: I have deleted your post, as it is a false rumor, and has already been dealt with in the No More Remastered CDs? topic.
ReplyDeleteAgain, that rumor is totally false. Confirmed by the band and people close to them.

did you see these schoolchildren singing pictures of you?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxZX8LpFOKo&feature=featured
ReplyDeletePaul K, that is beautiful!
ReplyDeletePaul, that's incredible, and I hate children.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the little chubby one who forgot to take his rucksack off and the makeshift, awkward sit down dancing. Great little singers though!

Well here's a bizarre Cure mention at The Onion:

ReplyDeleteI want the pink pig set... i actually have a song (lovesong) on it and never got one :(
ReplyDeleteI still have a few penpals I met through Cure News :).
ReplyDeleteyou were never a Young Suburban Goth unless you smoked cloves ;)
ReplyDeleteIck! Cloves! They smell nice but it's like smoking an incense stick.

I have an In Orange laserdisc. But, I haven't had a player in years. :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I could borrow a player and burn to DVD. Ooooh!
