  15. Hi Cure Friends.

What an amazing feeling is to hear CURE songs on the web ¡¡¡¡¡

    ReplyDelete
  23. The Figurehead!!! My number 4.

    ReplyDelete
  24. hey sophia. you are right, however I see in the cure much more than the mopiness that many fans seems to identify with. I tend to prefer their more agressive side. my #1 was 'From the edge of the deep green sea'.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Fascination Street in the top twenty....what da.....???? (much as I love it)
Craig, I'm listening in the UK and you posted 100 Years before it was announced.....know something we don't ;-) Anyway, first time poster, long time reader (since the beginning in fact) and Craig, if there was a sainthood for selflessness and dedication, you'd get it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. My #1 Fascination St. scores at #19Only one of my Top 10 so far. I am sure A Forest will be there.

    Come on End ....my #2.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Rob, my #1 hasn't even made the list!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ahh, that's more like it! POY was there. It's official. Craig can control time! No wonder he likes DR Who so much.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Afraid of sunlight: No psychic powers. Just posting as I hear them. And thank you very much for the kind words.

    ReplyDelete
  33. if I'm not mistaken Pictures of you is the Album version. anyone notice which versions the previous songs were (if there is more than 1, of course)?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Paul: You're doing a fantastic job. I'm loving this broadcast!

    ReplyDelete
  35. PJW: Ha!

Mad Bob: I hope it is. SDWAY is my #1.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Craig, wouldn't say it if it weren't true?

So you can't control time then? Damn!! You can't shoot forward six months and retrieve "The Dark Dream" for us?!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I got on!

I just wanted to say, any global peeps that don't have the cure litho being distributed in the US, I'm going to go buy some later and I'll be happy to buy you a CD and send you the litho if you want one.

    ReplyDelete
  79. .....and now everyone is wondering what #1 must be.

    ReplyDelete
  80. If A Forest is #2, then I'm guessing Faith is #1.

    ReplyDelete
  81. A Forest .... got 4 in there now

    ReplyDelete
  82. Ooh! I thought this would be number one! I think it'll be Faith too.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I bet in Inbetween Days.

I must be the only Cure fan that is not a "Faith" fan. Iam always amazed by all the folks here that practically j-off over it ;)

    ReplyDelete
  84. lovesong or friday im in love for the #1

    ReplyDelete
  85. Everyone here knows that a CURE Top 20 is very short and is very difficult to choose only 20 songs among all the wonderful songs they have.

Always a lot of amazing songs will be out of this kind of lists.

    :)

THE CURE IS THE BEST BAND OF ALL TIME.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. Too bad no This Twilight Garden or Chain Of Flowers in the top 20. My #1 is #2, though and the rest of these songs are so great.

    ReplyDelete
  87. i don't "get" Faith either; one of my least favourite Cure albums...

    ReplyDelete
  88. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Stig,

Nice to see there is at least one other non-Faith-ite. To me the Faith record is all about 'Primary', which is a Top 5 for me.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Faith N°1 it is too strong for me....

    ReplyDelete
  91. Faith was my #9. I ended up with 6 of my 10 in the top 20. I'm satisfied. : )

    ReplyDelete

Nice afternoon/night for CURE fans as us.

    ReplyDelete
  100. It used to be me no.100? Anyway, they're (PhoenixFM) are still playing Cure!! Good work!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yeah... iam a bit disappointed It used to be me didn't even make it into the top 50. I had it in my top ten... well

    ReplyDelete
  102. lol are they gonna play Cure songs all night?! I need sleep but can't tear myself away!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Moontear, yeah, that was my fav from the WMS recordings.....closely followed by Adonais.

    ReplyDelete
  104. DOH! I missed all the fun. I have to admit that I was surprised that the more "casual" fans hadn't managed to get Lovesong, Close to Me and FIIL in the top 20. Maybe cos they would have had trouble coming up with a top 10.

    Great selections, peeps.

And I am always happy to see Altr2elise up there.

    ReplyDelete
  105. It's my WMS sessions fave along with Want. But I'm really positiv surprised that All Cats are grey made it's way on there. :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. Yeah, but ACAG is truly a brilliant (and not obvious) classic Cure song.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Moontear, I was very surprised that Want wasn't in the top 20. It was number 2 in my list.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Want, another true classic.

I don't knoe about you guys but I had about 12 goes at my top 20!!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Ahh, that was a great countdown! I would have liked to see Lament and If Only Tonight We Could Sleep on the list, but oh well. I was in the chat room for the whole thing, and it was pretty cool that Eddie gave us a few shout outs from time to time! Nice talking to some of the other Cure fans from around the world!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Apart
The Same Deep Water As You
    Want
    A Letter To Elise
    It Used To Be Me
    Your God Is Fear
    Pictures Of You
    End
From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea
    The Kiss

...that was my Top Ten. At least 5 of them made their way into the top 20.

    ReplyDelete
  111. @Figurehead: I've been to the chat as well... Club America speaking ;)

    ReplyDelete
  112. Well hello again, lol. I know you were pushing for Want most of the time, too bad it didn't make it. I really enjoy Apart as well! Too bad the Cure-countdowns don't happen more often! It was a nice post-Halloween treat.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  114. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DJ!!

Faith as number 1? Took me by suprise.

    ReplyDelete
  115. That was absolutely great! WHat a brilliant way to end a day. Only 2 of my top 10 made (plus 10:15) but who cares?
I was looking at the whole set of songs... 100 seconds; Off To Sleep; Cheap Sex; A Sign From God; The Three Sisters; Hanging Around; Blend With An Edge; Aquarela Do Brasil?!?!?!? What the heck are these songs? Where the flipping hell do they come from?!?

    ReplyDelete
