Cure beat Nirvana, lose to Modest Mouse

In the Modern Rock Madness competition, The Cure beat Nirvana (around 70% - 30%). They now advance to meet Modest Mouse tonight at 8:30pm eastern / 7:30pm central / 6:30pm mountain / 5:30pm pacific. Vote!

Update: Voting for The Cure vs. Modest Mouse has started!
The Cure is being represented by Fascination St. and 10:15 Saturday Night.
The Cure is leading, but Modest Mouse is closing in, now about 50/50.
Modest Mouse killing The Cure 84% to 16% with 8 minutes left.
Modest Mouse wins 68% to 32%. Robert just couldn't hit the 3's.

    If The Cure beat Nirvana (and it should), they can easily beat Modest Mouse, given that band's annoying singing style.

    It seems odd that Modest Mouse would be of a "higher" ranking to beat than Nirvana... but I agree, they should definitely take this one - go Cure!!! :)

    And Modest Mouse has already beaten U2 and The Clash. They seem to be the "legend killers" of this tournament.

    "But Modest Mouse has Johnny Marr." Yeah, but so did Johnny Marr and the Healers. :) Johnny Marr is incredible, but the music of Modest Mouse is dull to me. My brother was a huge Smiths fan and even bought Modest Mouse and got all pumped to go see them, but it just didn't do anything for him. He'd psyched himself because of Johnny, but that wasn't enough.

    I can't believe the cure lost to modest mouse...sincerely those radiohead fans must have called up and voted for MM cause they were scared of the cure advancing. :)
