Cure on PS3 Vidzone

"The Playstation 3 Vidzone service launched last night (free music videos on demand in Europe) and it seems to be stocked quite well with Cure videos. Started the day with a bit of Gone, Primary, The Blood (I have never seen this video before! why is it not on any video compilations? was it not released in the UK? Nope, only in Spain - Craig), Mint Car, and then Dear Prudence (Siouxsie only has 3 tracks up at the moment very poor compared to the Cure's 20). There are a few labels not signed up yet by the looks of things - no Depeche Mode at all, but I would assume that will change and expand quickly." (Thanks Chris)

Reminder: Lol and Michael update

Update: "Um so another slight delay with our new album! BUT not completely. See the "Blue Star" CD is available NOW from our online web store. You buy it today it will ship tomorrow. Autographed by Cindy and myself too. But no downloads off Itunes etc for a few weeks yet but its coming. We have (as is always the case) been approached by another record label at the last moment so some negotiations have to take place before we can have digital downloads.....anyway the Cd is much nicer and in a full color cover too!" (Thanks Lol)

Original post: "Levinhurst's Blue Star out June 9th. So a slight delay in the album release for "Blue Star" our third album featuring my old friend Michael Dempsey. Not May 28th but now June 9th. You can wait a couple more weeks I hope! All the pre-orders btw will ship out a few days sooner than June 9th. It'll be on itunes shortly after that."
And check out their new video for Sargasso.

Rumor: Cure gone from Geffen/Interscope?

There's a rumor going around that The Cure have parted ways with Geffen/Interscope records. This has come mainly from various employees of Universal Music, in different parts of the world. But there has been no official confirmation of this from the band, and no official word from the labels. I first got word of this on May 15th, and have tried to get some confirmation since then, but have had no luck. Just more rumors and speculation. So I have no idea if this is true, where they would go if it is, what this means for the Dark Album, if the band asked for a release, or if Geffen let them go. Either way, good luck to The Cure, as they continue to deal with more record company nonsense.
