A Cure fan in the Nova Scotia government

Fun story from CBC. Further proof that we are EVERYWHERE. :)

Nova Scotia government Periscopes Cure concert by accident
Mistake occurred when employee attending concert used government social media account rather than own

A live stream of a New York concert by English rock band The Cure was accidentally broadcast for less than two minutes from the Nova Scotia government's Twitter account early Sunday.

Government spokeswoman Tina Thibeau says the error happened when a government employee attending the Saturday concert used the government's Twitter account, rather than their own.

To broadcast the concert, the person used Periscope, a Twitter app that allows people to live stream audio and video over the internet.

The tweet went out at about 12:20 a.m. AT Sunday.

Thibeau says the post was deleted as soon as it became known, and was up for under two minutes.

The Cure are in the midst of a three-night run at Madison Square Garden and are known for hit songs like Friday I'm in LoveClose to Me and Lovesong.
