Hi Craig! Here's a video of a live exihibtion of Mogwai at Other Voices 2013: the guitarist Stuart Braithwaite has a T-Shirt from The Head on The Door era (at 1:21 a good frame): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBmoBWJfmUE

  7. To be fair Noel (via Oasis, High Flying Birds and various collaborations) has consistently had proper number one hit singles and albums since 1994. Everything he has done has been big. The Cure really only had a short spell of proper massive hits, really you're looking at the short Disintegration and Wish periods where The Cure were really big, but (apart from the US maybe for a short time) they've never been Oasis big.

I happen to like both bands massively (and be careful dissing Oasis, Robert, in the pages of Cure News, did cite Oasis' 'Rock N Roll Star' in his top songs one year. One thing I've learned over the years is never to begrudge a man his earnings, especially a working man and Noel has always been a hard worker.

  8. Aaaaah and further more, let's not forget the two bands have shared a sample! Check out the outro of A Forest (Tree Mix) and then the intro of Go Let It Out....exact same drum sample....

  9. Oasis would be the supporters in a Cure Festival now a days.

  10. Maybe in the US? I don't know. In the UK they'd receive millions for a one-off show. They did play to 300,000 people in 2 nights here once...

The Cure are better though, don't misunderstand me :)
