  1. Can't wait to see what tonight's set list will look like. :)

  2. I like that it has no end time and everyone else does

    ReplyDelete
  3. whooo hooo Coachella!
    Hell ya!

    ReplyDelete
  4. It's probably too late to do anyone a bit of good, but earplugs are very highly recommended, if not required, to tolerate a set by My Bloody Valentine, who play right before the Cure.
I'm sure there will be some kind of noise restriction set on Coachella, but their normal concerts go over 100dB, Kevin Shields of MBV says that when the body experiences sound at that level it thinks it's in danger and releases endorphines and gives the listener a feeling they wouldn't normally experience. This usually happens during the end of their set in the middle of "You Made Me Realise," dubbed as the holocaust section, which is like up to 30 minutes of excessive feedback and walls of sound.
It would suck for this to ruin some unsuspecting person's night of the Cure...!

  5. Me and April are on the road driving to Coachella. Be there soon. Lol at Rev's joke about Los Angeles traffic. Can't wait for tonight's show and thanks to Spiggycat for the photo of the sign, I met her the other day at Amanda Palmer's secret show.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Also April might have or might have not accidentally left the car on the entire time we stopped to eat.

    ReplyDelete
  7. ;) Kate.

It seems all of the headliners have no end time.
ALMOST wish I could be there but the heat's going to be brutal!! Stay cool everyone & drink a lot of water!

    Have a great show!

  8. A little tired, April?? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  9. The webcast is really nice quality, can't wait to see The Cure!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Apparently I won't be able to watch the webcast cause my windows2000 won't support it. dammit! Oh well, I really need to get some sleep tonight. Catch the youtube videos after work tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  11. the webcast has not worked for me for 3 days, how do i sort it out, i have the move player but it says theres an error :(

    ReplyDelete
  12. Dang, the Cure broadcast isn't going to start until after midnight for me in Eastern time, and I have school tomorrow :( I guess I'll have to catch some youtube videos tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I hope that Robert dedicates something to Mandy/Selkie tonight. I think that would mean a lot to many curefans who are deeply saddened by her passing including myself.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi V, Helsa, Kate, Maree, everyone from the road (!) and all! We're in for a fantastic evening~*Here's to a wonderful time for all*

  16. Wow, that's so sad. I didn't know her personally but I recognized her picture from the other various cure sites I've posted at. My condolences go out to her family.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Aaron, what browser are you using, and what does the error say?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, someone please help Aaron, somehow I feel he is our only hope on recording this webcast given so many active COF members in attendance tonight. Me and April are 40 min away driving and we have been on the road for nearly 5 hours from Vegas, be there soon. Plenty of time to see Cure of course. And in all honesty, I'm not quite too sure I want the front rail today. Its gonna be so exhausting at such a festival. Much love to all my Cure peeps watching around the world, and the universe? (Depeche Mode reference)

    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Aaron, if you need a hand, let me know. I will also see what I can do about recording it. I will get on that now.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, no worries Andy, I have Fraps working, the clip I recorded of PBJ was nice and crisp and clear. I will record The Cure .

    ReplyDelete
  21. But if you need help troubleshooting yours, Aaron, let me know.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Awesome that you're recording it, Maree!
Aaron- maybe you just need to update your browser? These things usually work best for me on IE.

    Here's to a fabulously-fuck me sideways evening!

...and it would be awfully sweet if they could dedicate something to Mrs. Selkie, too...

    ReplyDelete
  23. please, people, listen to halo eighteen and wear earplugs for the my bloody valentine set. they will probably be made available, but in case they're not, stick some kleenex in(not too far in!) your ears or something. i had ringing in my ears for 3 days after the show and i wore earplugs!

i cant be up late tonight because of work, but i wanted to stop by and say hello. i miss you guys.
    lots of love...
    xo

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh wow, so awesome to see Jo standing next to Simon!!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. V: I was so happy to see that! Our Rock & Roll Jo with Si! : )

    ReplyDelete
  26. wow those are great pics...so jealous!
never been lucky enough to run into/meet any of them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah Yeah Yeahs are good. I'm about 100 feet from the stage, good view and sound but still not satisfied. I will be near Simon!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi everyone!!!!

V and Craig - yep, I was pretty happy to see me with Simon too!!! Amazing!

The good news is, I have found a place to set up at LAX, and will be able to be online until about 10.00pm Pacific.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Jo: I'm so excited and happy for you, that you got to run in to him. How long is your flight from LAX?

    ReplyDelete
  30. ok, I can hear the music, but there is no picture.. anyone ? I installed whtever it was I was prompted to... well hearing is better than nothing I suppose...

    ReplyDelete
  31. V - I would never have gone and spoken with him and Keith, if it wasn't for Fuji and Brad. I would have just admired from afar.

The flight LAX to SYD is 14 and a half hours (eek!!!!) and then another 4 and a hlaf to Perth.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Andy: Good luck!

    Jo: I know it's not Robert, but it's a good start, right? : )

    ReplyDelete
  33. Jo: Did you talk ti him? Get anything signed? Did he sign Fuji's shirt?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Craig - Fuji had a good chat with him about his cycling and YES, Simon did sign his shirt. I kinda just thanked him for chatting with us, and then kept apologising for bugging him ;)
I had a nice chat with Keith though, and he said he remembered me saying hi to him at O2, so that was very cool.

    ReplyDelete
  35. And guys, if there Simon has problems tonight, we blame it on Andy. : )

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh, and no, I didn't get anything signed. Brad suggested having our picture taken with the Oz flag, and Fuji and I said 'No, and Simon said 'Yes'. So we did, and after he said, 'That was an ironic smile' - or something similar.

And yes, LAX - LA International Airport

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm having trouble typing right now. I blame V! : P

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't think there will be problems today - all the bugs will be ironed out, and the jetlag slept away!

    ONWARDS!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Uh oh... >;) Sorry about that.

    ReplyDelete
  40. V has that affect on you, Craig :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jo: The LAX thing was a reference to the RSX thing. : )

    ReplyDelete
  42. BTW - Did anyone tell you that there were messages to COF on the jumbotron at the Pearl?

    ReplyDelete
  43. LOL - LAX - Sorry, I am 'slightly' muddled. I have lost my voice, and seemingly, some of my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Jo: I was in the same state last time I was at LAX, on my way home from 4Tour shows in Germany. Sigh. :) I very strongly associate that airport with that state.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeah, Kate mentioned something about the messages. I wanted to text a hello, but the info Sara gave us, didn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Craig - it couldn't possibly be a blonde moment, I had the artificial intelligence refreshed before I came stateside.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Andy is working his way closer and closer to the stage. Photos in a minute.

    ReplyDelete
  48. It would have been so cool if you had been able to get a message to come through :), but it was very nice to see COF highly praised in that forum!

    ReplyDelete
  49. V - it would have been hard work coming from Germany to LAX - I hate travelling east, especially when you have to cross the international date line. West is sooooo much easier (but I don't know why)

    ReplyDelete
  50. the coachella webcast should be better quality than mine! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  51. *running hug, Sara*
So glad to see you have made it home safely.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hi Sara! Why aren't you in Coachella, Livecasting for all of us? : )

    ReplyDelete
  53. *hug* I texted you but I dont think you got it.... you never get my texts for some reason! lol I cant wait for the cure to start... i KNOW that they will make up for what happned at the pearl... i bet they play a long time and i am reallly hoping they play faith

    ReplyDelete
  54. Jo: Luckily, I flew west to get to LAX from Europe that time. I actually prefer going east, though, because the jetstream helps you get where you're going faster. :D

    ReplyDelete
  55. Sara: Your quality was so much better than I expected. And more than that, it was fun to see it pop on throughout the night. Everyone would get excited when you went live.

    ReplyDelete
  56. lol craig because my dad sucks. I would be right up on the rail if it were up to me, but in the future i will get to travel a lot for the cure now! :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I really hope that this show starts up where the Pearl left off.

    I don't know why I don't get your texts - very odd.

Craig, long story about why Sara isn't there, but I think we have done some excellent groundwork this week to ensure she will be at ALL future Cure shows.

    ReplyDelete
  58. lol craig! thats good to hear! I tried to save the battery for the songs that arent played very often... would have gotten faith if it was played... that wouldve been epic!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Andy: "Ran across some rude people, or am I the rude one? Gonna be difficult for a while."

Well what do you expect when you're cutting in front of people? : )

    ReplyDelete
  60. Andy: "Got rid of them, in front of them. I'm so close Craig. Not yet though."

    ReplyDelete
  61. omg paolo nutini is on!! i love him!!!! i didnt think he was going to show up!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Andy: "Post in comments for me a big thank you to Sara, she gave me her ticket and I wouldn't be here without her, and without the ride from April from Vegas."

    ReplyDelete
  63. lol when it comes to the cure andy will do whatever it takes to be up close! haha i remember when he snuck in the pit twice even after getting kicked out the first time at KROQ haha

    ReplyDelete
  64. LOL - I told you Andy is freaking awesome! And so sweet, too.

I hope April is feeling better today.

    ReplyDelete
  65. andy has my portable charger so hopefully he can update all night

    ReplyDelete
  66. Andy wants everyone to know "that guitarist is SEXY! Nice solo too."

    ReplyDelete
  67. Aw, that is sweet. Sara is def. CoF winner!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Jo: I don't know about April. Andy said she left the car running when they stopped earlier to get something to eat. : )

    ReplyDelete
  69. jo what time are ya gonna leave? will you be able to catch the cure?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Sara - I have to leave at about 10.15 - so will hopefully catch some of the fun.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Just to clarify, Andy was talking about the guitarist from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. : )

    ReplyDelete
  72. LOL Craig, yeah yeah yeah - I worked that one out ;)

    ReplyDelete
  73. aybe ur flight will get delayed and you can see more! lol is that a bad thing to say? and i see paolo nutini in the webcast and he is looking fiiiine as usual :)

    ReplyDelete
  74. He reminds me a little of Nick Cave...(Nick Zinner that is).

    ReplyDelete
  75. Sara - I never said I would stay to the stay til the end ;)

To be honest, I would prefer my flight to leave on time - I just wanna get this leg of my journey over.

BTW, Fuji is now officially back in Oz

    ReplyDelete
  76. yay!! fuji is so cool, hes lk the coolest australian pilot in the world!

    ReplyDelete
  77. where is deej? she should be here!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Sara - I love Fuji - he was the 'enabler'

    ReplyDelete
  79. bells says hi but she cant stay up late so she cant come in here

    ReplyDelete
  80. Andy: "So happy, seven feet from rail."

    Photo in a minute.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Rev says to say "Hi" to everyone too

    ReplyDelete
  82. jo- "aww... I miss her too! tell her we'll catch up soon" from bells

    ReplyDelete
  83. Jo: Rev is there with you? She didn't go to Coachella?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Andy: "Somebody gave Simon's tech a plastic bag, didn't see who or what it was."

    ReplyDelete
  85. Craig - Rev IS at Coachella - we were texting

    ReplyDelete
  86. Oh! Duh! : ) Just got a text from her. Her e-mails are backing up and not being sent to me. : (

    ReplyDelete
  87. Craig - yeah, she is having problems with texting.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Andy: "My bloody valentine on now and yes they are loud. Not necessarily at rail, but close, met some cool people. One from costa rica. Gonna smoke some weed with them. Yes!"

    ReplyDelete
  89. LOL andy told me he found some weed. hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  90. Andy is going to have so much fun!

I wish they were showing My Bloody Valentine's set.

    ReplyDelete
  91. You'd have to be blind not to find some pot at Coachella, it's literally everywhere :)

Which reminds me of tonight's Family Guy, it cracked me up, "Everything's better with a bag of weed!"

    ReplyDelete
  92. ugg, i know i wanted to view the MBV show, not fair!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Andy: "Getting to the rail was like climbing a building, its better if you don't look down. There are probably thousands behind me."

    ReplyDelete
  94. andy said "tell cof that people hid alcohol in sunblock bottles, why didnt i think of that? also MBV are really loud. I should have listened" i think he means about bringing earplugs lol

    ReplyDelete
  95. No Jumbotron there? I was having a ball with the text messaging at the Jumbotron at the Pearl Show!

Vegas was so much fun (where else can a guy offer you weed and a hooker proposition you within a five minute time span?) But its good to be back in boring old Nebraska :)

Jo, I was so glad to finally meet you! Even though we only talked for a couple minutes. I loved your pic with Simon!

    ReplyDelete
  96. LMAO:

    OMG, I just fell over....

    ReplyDelete
  98. I like the one of them on the QE2. :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. andys internet is out and doesnt know if craig is getting his texts so hes gonna send them to me to post

    ReplyDelete
  100. Andy: "I'm really enjoying this, they are just too loud."

    ReplyDelete
  101. They will air the Cure at 10:10 Pacific, I'm not sure what plug- ins you need though?

And Andy is cracking me up, poor thing!

    ReplyDelete
  102. ok looks like u got his text craig, good deal.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Sara: I just got one from him and posted it.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Sorry about being quiet there peeps, needed to catch up on some emails

    ReplyDelete
  105. OMG I'm so glad I brought earplugs. MBV sounds like Enya with a jet engine. It's an endurance test to see the cure

    ReplyDelete
  106. That faint droning noise in the webcast right now is MBV haha.

    ReplyDelete
  107. kinda late to the party, i was doing hw.*tear tear*

    *grabs everyone and hugs*

    ROFL AT ANDY!!

    ReplyDelete
  108. WTFFF - i missed out on so much of MBV!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  122. oh wait. hes IN PE. i totally forgot.

he annoys me when hes not being in the group.

like on flavor of love or whatever show hes on

how could someone that talented by so freaking annoying?

    ReplyDelete
  123. andy- "loudest concert in the world they have been screeching nonstop for the past 15 mons it feels. its just noise, feels like and earthquake. i havent texted because my fingers were in my ears, this text now hurts. I so so so underestimated peoples precautions"

    ReplyDelete
  124. Should the show starts in 20-25 mins, right ?

    Callings fot tonight´s setlist ?

UTS opener, Baby Rag closer main set [ what difficut to guess that ;) ]

Pop Encore, Old School, 17 Secs and Faith...not in that particular order.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  125. I hope they get Faith - it is almost RSX's birthday after all

    ReplyDelete
  126. Maybe we'll get the Faith encore that didn't happen Friday.

    ReplyDelete
  127. (i really don't think they'll play Faith at a festival)

    ReplyDelete
  128. Stop it Morris! Grr! *hugs*X)

At least Andy smoked some weed, maybe that's helped to ease some of the pain! Ouch!

    ReplyDelete
  129. i think theyll get faith... i have faith.... im confident they will

    ReplyDelete
  130. April- "I am side porl 3 peeps deep i am packed like a sardine"

    ReplyDelete
  131. oh yeaa boooyyyeee
    flava flaaav
haha, this is pretty cool watching most of the artists there. i like that i can sit in the comfort of my home and not have to bop around with the other sweaty smelly people. :D EXCEPT the Cure would be the only exception i would bop around to.

so my boyfriend and I were wondering if robert is putting his lipstick on boppin to PE in the background. hehe you think? maybe Porl is groovin'???

    ReplyDelete
  132. Flava Flaaaaaaaav! Oh good lord....

    ReplyDelete
  133. Is there reports of any CURE members sightings this evening ?

    ReplyDelete
  134. I want Faith or Sirensong, dedicated to Selkie.
    :-)
    `

    ReplyDelete
  135. Public Enemy are a class act. Love these guys. This is a good performance.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Mr Craig Sir? How many more minutes until The Cure??

    ReplyDelete
  137. YESSSS the webcast is back on. PE is a little poppier than I remember them...

    ReplyDelete
  138. Dang... 1:10am EST before the webcast starts. dang.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I'm laughing at the image of Porl and Robert doing the moves to Terminator X...yeeaH boyz...

    ReplyDelete
  140. Helsa: They should be on now, but I think MBV ran late. Checking with Jen.

    ReplyDelete
  141. oh god i want sirensong and faith too, I was hoping sirensong at the pearl

    ReplyDelete
  142. Chuck D has the most awesome rapping voice - plain flat out intimidating!

    ReplyDelete
  143. crap I'm doing some last minute things, don't wanna miss my BOYS!

    ReplyDelete
  144. For those wondering if The Cure are watching PE, probably not, since they are on a totally different stage than TC.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I know this might sound rude to those providing reports and stuff, but I don't think it's fair to push into the crowd. A few times, I've made the effort to get there early and really rude people who arrive late push and shove and wade through to the front and block my view.

If there's lots of space, fine, but I hope people aren't really pushing hard.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Helsa: The webcast doesn't start until 10:10pm pacific.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Flava Flav stage dives feet first!!!

    OUCH!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Fuck Public Enemy, we want The Cure!

    ReplyDelete
  149. I thought that the stage that PE is on is the bigger stage? Wouldn't the cure need the bigger area or is the other stage just as big?

    ReplyDelete
  150. I'm watching PE. I love these guys.

Now I want Robert to shout "y'all got me?" and jump into the audience too since it was also HIS 50th birthday. heh heh.

    ReplyDelete
  151. "at simons side, no cure peeps just new ones. really squished" - andy

    ReplyDelete
  152. Word Up Craig!!!! : )

(it's all Cure from here on out)

    ReplyDelete
  153. Michelle: Cure are on Main stage, PE is on Outdoor Theatre stage.

    ReplyDelete
  154. The Cure are on the main stage and PE on the secondary I think.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Thanks Craig! you're a peach! if an oddly shaped one! XD

    ReplyDelete
  156. ~yawn~ I WANT THE CURE ALREADY!

    Smooches,
    Pussycat

    ReplyDelete
  157. "simons tech whole checking simons bass played a bit of 'its over'" - andy

    ReplyDelete
  158. why are they showing public enemy and not MBV on at and t? :(

    ReplyDelete
  159. The most egregious thing I saw was waiting to see Radiohead and this bitch and her asshole friends barge in front of me -- I mean really push, then she ties her hair up, so it blocks my and others' view even more, and then when some guy wants to get ahead because he says he's meeting his friend ahead -- and it seemed legit because he was carrying a beer -- she refuses. Hypocritical whore! She also talked during a few of the songs; luckily me and some others were able to "shush" her. On the way out, her friend also shoved right into me.

At least people know how to behave at the opera.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Let´s go on, CURE...

    SMASH THAT STAGE ¡¡¡

SET THE DESERT ON FIRE !!!!

SHOW THW WORLD, AGAIN, WHY YOU´RE THE BEST BAND EVER ¡¡¡

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  161. DJ: I don't think Yeah Yeah Yeahs and MBV gave them permission to broadcast their sets.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Whoa. This AT&T footage is great quality. Thanks for the link and all the updates, as usual, Craigers. Caprica is out in 2 days!

  164. andy- "its cooled off significantly but doesnt seem to help to have thousands of people around you with no shoulder room"

    ReplyDelete
  165. Off topic... I'm so sad that BSG is over, I can't look at my toaster without crying.

    ReplyDelete
  166. andy- "simons tech did a sweep on the audience with a small camera. good to know its for the cure and not coachella"

HOW COOL! maybe for the 30th year anniverary dvd?

    ReplyDelete
  167. I hate being squished. Festivals scare me these days.

    ReplyDelete
  168. andy- "lights are dim, darn now back up it has got to start soon"

    ReplyDelete
  169. O.o Sara, that would be cool!

    ReplyDelete
  172. andy- "im not good with recognizing basses but it seems Sion has the one he uses for The Kiss AKA the one he threw. maybe were getting a kiss? lights off music is turning off"

    ReplyDelete
