    wow, i really like it, wich is weird cause normally i dont like cure covers or i am indifferent to them but this are really good! is it available somewhere? like comercially? or what? if it is i'll buy it

    I'm digging The Wedding Present's version of High. That's a band I used to dig "back in the day". They've got cred with Robert if I remember correctly.

    wow, i like this lovesong cover too. i ussually hate cure covers, this is some interesting stuff though. cool instrumentals.

    damn i like alot of these songs, pictures of you sounds awesome too. i like hearing these songs sung by women, a guy trying to sing the cure doesn't work for me unless it's robert. i'm getting this cd.

    Not bad, although I think a lot of the emotion is missing on most of the songs. I prefer Angie Harts cover of POY better than anything else I've heard. The Poems, Julie Peel, and Elk City covers are really neat. Devics are always awesome!!! Their "Catch" sounds a little ska to me.

    Ben- I'm the same way. I don't really care to hear other guys sing Cure songs, but then, I don't usually like hearing guys sing period!

    I really like these covers! theyre not cliched, which i like. the female voices are a great change, i also like the male female duets.

    the walk sounds great,and Catch - OOHHHH. FINALLY!! a tribute album consisting of alot of women singers. havent heard one that really satisfied me like tori amos untilnow.

    wow. just wow on that 10:15 cover. quite different. just.. :O. who knew it could sound like that??

    their cover reminded me of JLH done by Dinosaur Jr., which is of course.. one of the best known cure covers.

    Wow... I'm shocked. Usually cover albums make me want to cut my own ears off... But I /really/ like this. Haven't listened to all of it yet, but at the moment I'm lovin' it!

    The Wedding present doing High? Fan-blooming-tastic! And the Grand Duchy cover of A Strange Day is just gorgeous.

    I'd far rather listen to these tracks than the majority of Hypnogogic States.

    I've been somewhat anticipating this album for a while (on ALR mailing list), but I expected it to be crap, as most of these things are. What a pleasant surprise! There's a slim chance I may actually purchase it. I now want to hear more of some of these artists, which I guess is the point to begin with.

    The Caulfield Sisters (who rock - check them out) are on ALR, and I was really hoping they'd be on this, but no. Shame.

    If you're enjoying these songs
    then check out "A NIGHT LIKE....A Tribute to THE CURE", a German tribute album released in 2001.

    Much more entertaining in my opine, and more diverse songs.

    The Love Cats by Yendri is nice!!

    Actually, I can't substantiate that, Mokeybutt! It isn't just you:0)

    I had a very frustrating time last night trying to click onto the cover of POY, which seems to be the most difficult to pin down, especially on a laptop track pad.

    Also, is it just me, or have the clips got shorter? I could of sworn that the cover of SD went as far a the vocals coming in. It doesn't now. I remember because I was expecting Frank Black and it wasn't.

    I think they were originally streaming the whole album, and then in turned into just clips. I was listening to it at work yesterday and midway through my second listen it was suddenly 1 minute samples.

    Never heard that German tribute, but my favorite is the Spanish one. That one kicks ass.
