Houston & Dallas camera policies

"I called the Houston Toyota Center to see if cameras were allowed and they said no cameras were allowed inside. I’m also going to the Dallas show and they said that only regular cameras were allowed, no video cameras. I don’t know about the Austin show since I can’t make it to that one."

  1. Well, I'm bringing mine anyway. :p If they pitch a fit, I'll just bring it back to the car.

  2. FWIW, Youtube has over 1,000 hits for "Toyota Center" and it looks like a lot of them are clips from musical acts. I would guess that they don't enforce their cameras policy.

  3. It's funny most venues have a "no camera" policy but I've never been searched. Then when the concert starts you see all these hands in the air snapping or recording away.

  4. Austin Music Hall said, "No cameras per artist's request". I said I can't believe the band cares if I bring my camera in or not. I was told I would be asked to take my camera back to my car if I had it on me I tried to enter.

  5. joe, sneak it in by putting it down the front of your pants. I'm being totally serious. Before you start snapping away, see how the venue treats other people who brought their cameras in. If they let them be, then go for it.

  6. Craig, I have been reading your Cure site for years now. I never really write or comment much though. I have been to every Cure show in Dallas since 92, including the Deep Ellum show! I have sent you a review of the Dallas show the last couple of tours that you have posted. Anyway, since you say you are going Friday night, and of course I have my seats second row center stage, it would be a pleasure to shake your hand and thank you for all of the hard work you put in to this site. Is there going to be a COF meetup for the Dallas show? -Rich
