Tokio Hotel? WTF! When did that band form? Like, three months ago or something? Let's just see if they'll still be headlining anything 30 years down the line...
I could stand The Cure losing out to Metallica, but this is taking the piss.
AMAZING WE MADE THE CUT REALLY ENTIRELY DOWN TO THE GENUINE SUPPORT WE HAVE FROM ONLINE FANS...
HEARTWARMING!
UNFORTUNATELY HONESTY APPEARS NOT TO BE THE BEST POLICY WHEN IT COMES TO ONLINE AWARDS GO RICK GO?
"Online voting is a bit of a joke, if people running them don't take any steps to prevent this kind of tomfoolery. MTV recently posted a poll asking if Rick Astley deserves his nomination, and got nearly 20 million positive responses to 5,000 negative responses. The actual poll results were posted, but MTV moved the page. But even when there are steps taken to secure online polls, those can be easily circumvented. Often, all you need to do is turn off your cookies and continually vote in the same poll. Polls that use IPs can be tricked using proxies."
Ah I love Robet's post! :) LOL! cpg--Where exactly is it on the official? I can't seem to find it.
So who the fuck are Tokio Hotel and how the hell did they win the top spot if they only been around for a millisecond! Unbelievable, that voting must have been fixed. And I can't believe The Cure didn't make the top 3 either! What is this world coming to!!!
i know is not the right section but i dont know where else i can ask this to you.
robert got a new sticker on the guitar from the end of the 4tour, above the one that says monday 11 feb, someone understood what is wrote there? thanks, i really can't read what he says!
OMG... hear, hear, RS... secure the online polls or cease the pretension that they mean anything other than someone knows their way around a script. Meh.
astonishingly how rs knows about technical terms like python or bash scripts.
about tokio hotel. it's a german teen band. They formed in 2005 or so but are said to have played together before. Then some producer "discovered" them and he and others wrote an album for them. so it seems not entirely artificial for me (they seem to know how to play their instruments) but they have been "pushed" very strongly (without that they would still play in pubs i guess). when they started in germany, there was a big hype / all kinds of awards etc. and now they tour other contries. so they probably have a huge teenage fan base.
rick astley! had to lol! some time before, I learnt there is an internet meme about him:
Quite right. The comments are quite bizarre over at thecure.com. I looked at them today and I could barely decipher most of it! At least here at COF the debat is healthy and the views are articulate.
Tokyo Hotel fucking rule the soundwaves party dudes.....
... JOKE!!! Who the hell are they anyway? (who will remember them 30 days from now let alone 30 years!)

Is this the same Tokio Hotel that Andy Anderson trashed many moons ago? Revenge maybe.

omg, another unheard cure song ;-)
I suspect the "unheard Cure song"... is your attempt to Rickroll me, but I am impervious to it! ;^P
ReplyDeleteHe posted here, ck:

I have my doubts about that really being Robert. Would he use the American spelling of 'Organisation'? I'm inclined to think probably not
ReplyDeleteI still don't think Robert understands that the "true" cure fans who need the thanks live right here at COF.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who can decode half of what is said on the offical forum by "fans" deserves a medal.

ReplyDeleteIt am certain was him. Why would I doubt it?
And he posted there because that is his website. Not this one. This one is Craig's.
