  13. A guy goes into a drugstore to buy condoms,
    "What size?" asks the clerk.
    "Gee, I don't know"
"Go see Susan in Aisle 4"
He goes over to Susan, who grabs him in the crotch and yells "Medium". The guy is mortified and hurries over to pay and leaves very quickly.
Another guy comes in to buy condoms also and gets sent to Susan in Aisle 4. Susan grabs him and yells "Large". The guy struts over to the register, pays and leaves.
A high school kid comes in to buy condoms.
"What size?" says the clerk. The kid embarrassingly says "I've never done this before, I don't know what size".
The clerk sends him to Susan in Aisle 4.
She grabs him and says "Clean up in Aisle 4!"

  15. That's going to be one hell of a concert! Oh I so want to go but I’m almost positive I won’t be able to make it! I need money!!!!! Damn Credit Card Debit is killing me!!! How knows maybe I decided to just go for it and declare bankruptcy! All for the Love of The Cure! LOL!

Actually I hope this get's televised, well at least The Cure part of the show. I'll definitely be at the COF that night unless by some stroke of luck I'm in London! Yeah Right, keep dreaming!!!

  16. I'm kinda hoping they'll play something from the soon to come Dark One...
    But that's just me, dreaming!

  17. A blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car, and was pulled over by a female police officer who was also a blonde. The blonde cop asked to see the blonde driver's licence. She dug through her purse.
"What does it look like?" she finally asked.
The policewoman replied "It's square and it has your picture on it".
The driver finally found a square mirror in her purse, looked at it, and then handed it to the policewoman.
"Here it is" she said. The blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying "Ok, you can go. I didn't realise you were a cop"

  18. Has anyone seen any clue as to the pricing? Capacity? Anyway I can buy a ticket hassle free and preferably early!

How long will they play? Other acts?

I am getting excited but looking at ast year there were several bands and it didn't start until 7.30. We aren't going to get a very long set are we?????????

  19. I thought it was "30 years in 30 minutes" and then probably an encore.

Robert was talking (joking?) about doing a medley!

How the hell can I make sure I buy tickets via the official channels rather than paying some non-fan 4 times the price like I had to for this year's Wembley Arena show????

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sunflies:

I thought the 30 years in 30 minutes was for the award show at the Acadamy the previous night? Surely, the boys wouldn't only get 30 mins or even an hour as the "Big Gig" (sic) headliners? I didn't bother with Wembley - went to Antwerp the previous week!

If I thought it was only 30 mins I'm not sure about whether its worth the second mortgage the tickets will be?

Anyone been to the O2 before? I assume standing tickets are the best to go for?

  22. Has anyone seen comment #3 on the NME page? "Aged, transexual goths who can barely sing." A bit harsh methinks! Still that's one more ticket!

  23. hello
can i answer if the first night is free?? and also, somebody know about the seat? there is a standing? and, trough the website of NME the tickets can be normally purchased? thanks in advance

  24. Shining:

No idea about the awards night - I guess tickets will be gold dust and pretty limited.

The link on the article takes you to the ticketline/website. I believe there is standing. Good luck!

  27. do you think that the dark album will be also produced by Keith Uddin? i think he is not bad and he did a good job with 4:13. if someone else produced the next album it might loose a bit of it's connection with 4:13 Dream.

  30. Does anyone know if the 02 arena is general admission or what exactly?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Man. How come there's no election chat like when the Cure were on tour. I need people to dish with.

Hope everybody voted for Jim Esch for Nebraska's Second Congressional District! :)

  32. Doctor, doctor, I feel like a cowboy.

How long have you felt like this?

    Um...for about a YEEHAR!

  33. i was wondering if sending an email to nme asking about the first night at the brixton can give us some info also about that night. i honestly want to be there also, especially because i don't live in england and both shows time are of course less than the cures general concerts, so, at least going to both shows, considering the airplane and the hotel, would be perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  34. will some kind british or european peep, or anyone going to the show adopt me?

    ReplyDelete
  35. about the 02 arena, i have read somewhere that also the seats most far from the stage, are very close and intimate. i would prefer the seats, because i hate to stay all day waiting to enter the venue and take a good place in the general admission, but at the same time, maybe the general admission give us more chances to be in the place we want, also if we arrive later than others to buy the tickets! i imagine that tomorrow morning the site will be full and the connection will probably be very very slow, so, best wishes to everyone who is attending to buy the tickets!!!

  36. I'm really regretting spending every penny I have on Metallica tickets right now... I'm banking on there being a Dark Album tour at some point in the near future. And if there's not, I'll kick myself. Repeatedly.

  38. I know. Its just amazing! Barack Obama will be our new president.

I know its sad and cheesy, but I was actually crying when they declared Obama as the next President!

    Fantastic day!

  39. I would totally be there but these "other acts" are putting me off a little.

If I have to sit through crap like Kaiser Chiefs I will be pissed off. The Cure do not need people to open for them let alone on a night which should be about them celebrating an award for their lifetime achievments.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thing is, as soon as you bring other acts into the mix the arena changes. You get people are only there to see one act (i.e me) and couldn't give a crap about who else is playing.

This means sweaty moshing emo teenagers who only arrived to see the Kaiser Cheifs taking up half the floor and not knowing a thing about The Cure. So we would have half the audience singing the keyboard parts to Play for Today while half just looking dumbfounded about "That Friday one" isn't being played.

  41. Wow, sounds like such a wonderful, exciting night. Wish I could take my son and head over there but it's a bit far from Chicago. :(
Can't wait to hear and see all about it tho! :D

  42. The Cure, Justice, Foals, Crazy Castles plus more TBC - £30 (a steal!!!)

    Got my tickets yay

    ReplyDelete
  43. I 'd rather see the band for 30 minutes with kids who don't know the first thing about them than none at all...Foals are great too....

    ReplyDelete
  44. is kaiser chiefs playing? i never saw them on the list, i think they are not bad but i have only heard a couple of songs from them. i agree about the thing that someone said, the mood changes if there is other acts on the bill. but lets not forget, kaiser chiefs wouldnt be kaiser chiefs if it werent for the cure
