  5. I'm going to SP there on 12/3. I hope they are the same night as The Cure. Billy is wicked on guitar. Tickets to these KROQ shows are not easy to get and definitely not cheap.

  10. do you think it will be a big concert, with the three hours and all?

  11. They'll probably get around 90 minutes if they're headlining.

  12. Kelbel,
Can you change your time? Cross fingers they play on 13th. I mean, c'mon, 13th. KROQ usually has a heavier rock show one night (which is usually Sun) and a different vibe the other night. My hope is STP is on Sun and Cure Sat. Would love to see Billy play with Robert

  16. I called KROQ today and the man told me that they would be announcing the lineup in a couple of weeks. Hope this helps.

  17. In a couple of weeks?? That gives very little time to prepare.

  18. You may not have much time to prepare.
But at least you,ll be going to there.
I sadly, won't even get near.
I'll be miles away, right here.

  25. I live in LA and have been to this event the first two years it was held (91-92 back when KROQ played music I would actually listen to) and it is held at the Universal Amphitheatre. That is a 6000 seat venue which means tix will sell out in minutes. The tickets have also been sold before the line up is announced and still sell out quickly. The event is for charity and face value on the tix is usually right around $100 so the scalpers (of which I am occasionally one) can get $300-$500 depending on location. On the bright side these holiday shows usually happen in SF, Seattle and other places where tix are easier to get so I might hold off putting all your eggs in one basket.

  27. @B

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure a concert ticket is a commodity. When I buy collectible records should I get a discount because I really like the band? If I buy a 67 Mustang Fastback, should the seller only be able to get what they paid for it. Gimme a break. I drove around the country this spring following the band on all the shows between Denver and San Diego in part because I scored good seats and was able to turn a profit on them and thus mitagate some of the cost. I paid full price on every ticket. I bought and got them in the same manner as everyone else. If you want to be mad at ticket agencies for scooping up free tickets and for having backdoors inside TM go ahead but otherwise talk about things you know more about.

deck the hall ball has already been announced, happening on the 6th of dec and the cure is not preforming.

dont count on the cure doing anymore holiday shows ppl. i have a feeling that this will be the only one.
