Mexico ticket update

For the most part, this show is now sold out. A few tickets keep popping up, here and there, but not many. More may be released on the day of the show, so if you need them, keep checking. Job well done, Mexico! (Thanks @jogelu and David)

Update (04/20/13): Okay, it's not sod out at all. Tickets still available, and in many different sections, including General A. Update: "Sold Out" again. Give it a few hours & it will probably change again.

    1. @davidafterhterain

You say 140,000 tickets sold at this time:

Can you say the amount per country?

Do you have reliable sources to confirm this?

    3. Counting what articles, sites, promoters say here and there : more than 30,000 in Santiago, 22,000 in Lima, 25,000 in Buenos Aires, 2 areas sold out in Bogota meaning at least 10,000, 4 zones in Mexico meaning at least 30,000. If you add Sao Paulo and Asuncion, you reach 140-150,000 tickets sold so far, which sounds like a good number. Trying to pay attention to every news to be more precise, just because I'm happy for LatAm and would love Cure fans reading COF, my facebook and twitter posts not to be screwed up when/if a show would sold out.

    2. At the same time, nobody talks about how Madonna and Gaga concerts in São Paulo sold NOTHING. There might have been 50,000 people in one of these concerts (the most), but for sure half of these people didn't pay for it, they were giving tickets for free with your dairy at the grocery store. Not to mention the publicity for São Paulo for Cure which was null except for a few billboards on the venue.
If the prices were a little better things would have been different though... they could have played at Morumbi for 50K too if it wasn't for that "logistic" problem reported by the producers (aka cheaper costs at Anhembi...).

Today ticketmaster shows that only 2 sections left (General B & Orange A) to have a sold-out in Mexico City.

  9. It will probably sold out as there's on month left before the show. Think Santiago (stong sales during the first weeks) and Rio (smaller venue than the rest of the tour) could as well.

  13. The situation is confusing. The ticketmaster site say the show has sold out and a few after that you come back and find tickets in several sections.... It's maybe to fight black market or because of cancellations, coming back tickets from sub contractors... Tomorrow It will be sold out for sure.

  14. guys - a lot of this has to do with the fact, that concert tickets in MEX DF are still avail for purchase at record stores and department stores. So, as the demand circulates btwn TM and the outlets - they retrieve tickets from a chain of record stores, to be purchased via TM instead of over the counter. I was just on TM MEX (4pm 4/20) and the entire seating chart is grey, and the pop up message translates to - (essentially) SOLD OUT - but check back for singles and cancellations
