If you have any tickets you'd like to sell to other fans at face value, please email me or post them in the comments. Thank you!
Order online at Royal Albert Hall, Bookings Direct, Tickets Online, Gigantic, See Tickets, Stargreen, Aloud and Ents24. Order by phone from Bookings Direct - 0844 338 0000. Good luck!
Note: Keep trying even though it says sold out! 1 or 2 tickets still pop up occasionally.
Update: Here are the ticket pices - Grand tier / 1st circle = £150, 2nd Circle = £125, Stalls = £125, Arena = £100, Circle = £75, £50, £25. (Thanks thekremlin)
And a bonus offer from Roger: "they are selling behind the stage which although unusual offers a very intimate perspective and they're cheap!! You might get a TAMBOURINE! That is if Jays bought a replacement hahaha"
For those wondering if the floor at the RAH show would be reserved seating or general admission standing, here's the answer from the RAH box office: "I can confirm that the Arena section of the auditorium for The Cure will be a standing area. Tickets will go on sale from 9am this Friday the 30th of September either over the phone or online (no counter sales)." (Thanks Conor)

fingers crossed that people get those! i'd love to be down at the front for splintered in her head. but then again i will be happy just to get a ticket!
ReplyDeletePresale????? C'mon!!!! Why only 1 show for the home fans?
ReplyDeleteI've also noticed on the RAH website it says tickets from £20.00 - £150.00. The arena floor might be a little expensive then...
ReplyDeleteDanny - I wonder if they might not do something really great, and make the standing tickets the cheapest, and the reserved box seats (I assume they have them there) the highest? I've seen other bands do that.
ReplyDeleteJohn - Let me check on the only 1 show thing. Maybe plans to add a 2nd night after it sells out?
ReplyDeleteCraig - Well hopefully! Looking at other events there, the 'stalls' tend to be the most expensive, with the floor/standing area being less expensive. (A little confusing having stalls but also standing/floor I know). The circle will probably be the cheapest, but that's not such a bad view - it's a reasonably small place.
ReplyDeleteI emailed the ticket agency but they said they didn't have any details on pricing yet.
There's a nice virtual tour on their website at http://www.royalalberthall.com/virtualtour/index.html if people want to have a look around.
You guys are lucky - I would have much preferred standing room at the Sydney shows but I guess it wasn't that kind of venue...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the useful virtual tour Danny!
ReplyDeleteWell I'm an idiot. After looking at the RAH schedule, there's no chance of an extra show being added. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteRAH accomodations: the Copthorne Tara is an excellent hotel w/ VERY reasonable rates for this posh part of town. The rooms are acceptable by U.S. standards and the best part is, ITS A COMFORTABLE WALK TO RAH & Kensington tube (1 block)... I stay here exclusively when visiting bloody ol'London!
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience, the space where the standing area is is always much cheaper than the seats (and especially boxes), however I'm talking from experience of classical concerts there so wouldn't be 100% certain it's gonna be the same.
ReplyDeleteI was at the Royal Albert Hall too see cure 1st of april '06, and its going too suit the 'reflection' show beatifuly ! the venue has so much history, its like walking into a church ! i was also in the box for half of the show with all of the Smiths family, roberts mom & dad ++, and i was dancing swing with Porls little dougther ! an amazing night, and a great gig ! me & my frend + Antti is trying to get max standing tickets for RAH, so if we get any extra i/we would be happy to resell for face value :)
ReplyDeleteWe let you know friday ! And good luck to all :)
From the virtual tour of RAH, there seems to be a seated area between the Grand Tier and the Arena (standing). Will this be there and is it also considered part of the Grand Tier?????
ReplyDeleteOny relevant if im lucky enough to get tickets!!
Working Friday and no internet access. Am trusting my best mate to get tickets for us both, could be the end of a beautiful friendship! Never been to RAH before but am going to see James play there a couple of weeks before The Cure show - got the cheapest tickets for James, that was all that was left - they were in the Circle, basically the ones almost behind the stage I think!
ReplyDeleteThe seating area between the Grand Tier and the arena are called STALLES, and they WILL be there. The gallery is the highest places in the hall (even above Circle) and are all standing places (just like the arena).
ReplyDeleteI've seen James about a year ago, I can't remember the price for the tickets, but i think the prices are going up in this order from cheap to expensive:
Gallery
Circle
Arena (Grand admision)
Stalles
Grand Tier Boxes 2 (highest)
Grand Tier Boxes 1 (middle)
Loggia Boxes (lowest)
Then there is also the "Choir" section which is behind the stage. I'll doubt those seats will be made available, and if so then they will most likely be the cheapest and then need to be put above Gallery in the list.
I could be all wrong of course, but I'm pretty sure that the lggia boxes are going to be the most expensive...
I'm going to find a seating place straight behind the mixing desk as I'm planning to record the show with a good sony stereo mic and a mini-disc recorder.
irishcurefan - That bowl of seats is called the stalls - which as I was saying, is a bit confusing. But trust me - that's the stalls, and the actual floor is called the Arena. So there will be both 'stalls' and floor standing.
ReplyDeleteThose stalls are nearly always the most expensive seats you can get there.

ReplyDeleteWhy is there a fountain in the middle of the floor? : )
ReplyDeleteThis image sets the plan out clearly.
ReplyDelete(hopefully I got the link right this time!)
Oh, yeah that's only for the BBC Proms, they don't normally have the fountain there (in fact this proms season they saw sense and didn't have it at all)
ReplyDeleteOkay, well that's good. : )
ReplyDeleteGlad there's standing, need to change message to people who I'm pinning my hopes on getting tickets for me cos I told them to go for stalls thinking that would be standing....
ReplyDeleteThis is going to a-mazing.
Indeed, standing is in what they call the 'Arena' section.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the stalls go...
ReplyDeleteI sat in these at the RAH gig in 2006.. And I don't recall them being that much more expensive than any other seat.. I bought 2 and think they were about £100 for the pair including booking fees..
They are worth getting though if you don't want to stand.. Its a great view..
By the way.. Anyone know the capacity of the RAH with the floor seats taken out...
ReplyDeleteI know with them in its a touch over 5000...
Wow this is amazing I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the SOH gig fingers crossed I can for this one also.
ReplyDeleteRAH says 'online and phone'. Is that the bookingsdirect number or a number specifically for RAH? If its RAH then where is that number???????? Hellllllp
ReplyDeleteI know I am in the minority for hoping there is no GA in NYC...
ReplyDelete@ Craig:
ReplyDeleteIsn´t there any presale for fans only? wasn´t there one in Sydney? would be good, as I assume its very difficult to get a ticket...
I would think it will be very very difficult to get tickets so we should do like we did for Sydney and if you can buy 4 tickets each and offer the ones you dont want back to fans here on COF at face value. This will stop some tickets going to touts also so its a win win.
ReplyDeleteHope I will be lucky again.
Can someone with RAH experience answer my questions:
ReplyDeletewhat would you recommend for a "dancy" person like me, stalls or arena? In Sydney I was very happy with my seat in row M but Im not sure about this... Are people going to sit down in stalls?
And do you think the arena section is going to be very crowded? Or is there space to move around? I don't want to do this Bestival-style (line up hours before the show,a strangers body close to mine blablabala)
@ robsessed
ReplyDeleteIf you dont want a strangers body against you then get a seat.
Having been to quite a few TCT gigs at the RAH, and always in Loggia Boxes(i was lucky enough to get backstage passes and met RS in 2006!), i can say that most people stand and dance everywhere you look....as for the Arena, i have never had the chance to try but it never looks really crowded, and you definitely won't get that Bestival feeling you mentionned...(i did it too, 12 hours standing against a railing, never again),i'm going to go for Arena tickets if i can. Finally for those who have never been, it's not that big and you do get the feeling of being close, but i would avoid the Gallery and Circle as they are a bit high in my opinion.
ReplyDelete@ Perfect Murder
ReplyDeleteThey are great tips thank you so much. Do you know are cameras allowed in as in DSLR cameras? I had mine for sydney but had to put my bag in the cloakroom but could have taken the camera in if I had known.
Also back stage passes wow how do people manage to get these I always wonder.
thank you perfect murder.
ReplyDeleteand no more 12 hours + 4 cure songs against a railing (then I felt so sick they had to lift me over, hahahahaha sometimes I hate the Cure)
@kate "I know I am in the minority for hoping there is no GA in NYC..."
ReplyDeleteHey Kate I've been to the Beacon several times in the past to see shows and never once was there GA. The Beacon was an old movie house and I think it has always been all seating no standing unless they changed the floor layout since my time there back in 2007. Have fun if you get to go! I'm going to try to make at least on show but not sure yet.

ReplyDeleteI don't know the policy on cameras, but i can't imagine it being a problem sneaking it in...
ReplyDelete@cure_kitty Thanks! This makes me feel so much better! :)
ReplyDeletejust called the RAH and asked for ticket prices... this is what the nice lady told me.
ReplyDeleteGrand tier / 1st circle = £150
2nd Circle = £125
Stalls = £125
Arena = £100
Circle = £75, £50, £25
You guys are the best. Thank you for the ticket prices, thekremlin, and thanks for all of the help you are providing, Perfect.Murder.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! £100 for Arena standing and £125 for Stalls..
ReplyDeleteWasn't expecting anything like those sorta prices to be honest.. More than double when they played last time..
I know this is a more special event, but that's a lot I think..

ReplyDeleteFew answers to a few questions,
ReplyDelete@ T Collier the advertised number and website is that of the promoter who has their own ticketing portal (which in turn is run by another third party ticketing company The Ticket Factory). From that I then the RAH, bookings Direct and the main Ticket Factory site will all be selling. I checked SEE tickets and they have the gig listed so they'll probably get some too. Oddly nothing on the Ticketmaster website but they often put stuff up at the last minute....
@ Irishcure Camera's - RAH used to have big signs everywhere say no cameras and the website says no camera video equipment and turn mobile phones off! see here http://www.royalalberthall.com/visit/what-to-expect/default.aspx
I suspect using a phone cam or a small compact will be fine but a DSLR might be difficult to get in or be easily spotted.
oh and thanks to all for the tips on best places to sit and for finidng out the prices...
ReplyDeleteJust hope my posse of friends buying tickets can get me one between them. Can't believe tickets go onsale the day I've organised a breakfast event!
Good luck everyone planning to get tickets for the UK
Might be worth trying to get your tickets through a less well known site. I suggest Gigantic, who are a trustwory site that give 10% of their profits to Oxfam: http://bit.ly/The-Cure-Gigantic
ReplyDeleteDamn I wish I could go to London for the RAH show. I'd rather see The Cure at the RAH then at the Beacon in NYC but I'm not going to be able to afford the trip over to the UK, getting to NYC will be hard enough for me.
ReplyDeleteI've been to the RAH several times in the past 10 years to see various other artists (no Cure) and it is an amazing place to see a show. I've had tickets at arena level but with full seating no GA/standing), once front row center (I still do not how my friend got those tickets), the stalls & the circle and I can't say that any seat is bad. No matter where I sat, I had a great view of the stage and the sound is excellent.
RAH is such a beautiful place, I’ve enjoyed every show that I saw in this venue! And depending on where the band enters the venue, it is way easier to meet the band if they go in at the back stage door at the back of the venue. It’s just right there out on the street, not fenced in or blocked off, nothing well at least when I was there. If the band use the tunnel under the venue to get in & out then it will be harder to meet them but I never had an issue meeting the bands I saw at the RAH so I hope it’s the same with the Cure. This will be a great show, good luck to all who can get a ticket. You’ll have an awesome night!
Just thinking ticket prices through, they're going to have at least a 10-15% booking fee plus c£5 postage and handling. If the only tickets left are Grand Tier/First circle and you buy the full 4 allowed that's just shy of £700. Sheesh. Not that that's going to stop me....
ReplyDelete@Irishcure
ReplyDeleteHoneyinmyveins is right, at the RAH it is posted everywhere that no cameras/pictures are allowed but I've never had an issue when I went to a show there. I did sneak my cell phone and small point & click camera a few times & no one ever told me to stop or put them away. That was several years ago so maybe now they are more strict? I doubt you can get in DSLR camera in, they might stop you with that but I think if you take any pictures with your cell phone you should be ok. Take lots of pictures if you can!
@Best
ReplyDeletedoes gigantic.com post tickets outside the uk?
last year i went to see suede at rah and took loads of pictures. no one said a thing. same was in 2006 with the cure, no problems with camera.
ReplyDeleteThey do box office collection if you live outside the UK. I've had so much trouble with tickets being lost in the post that I always collect my tickets from the Box Office anyway (and I live in the UK)
ReplyDeleteThanks guys.
ReplyDeleteTicket prices are mad. I mean £100 for standing is very pricey. Its making me think twice. I love the band and was gutted my wife could not come to Sydney to see them so this is why I want her to go to see the RAH show but these are almost tout prices. Come on Robert and co we spend quite a lot of money on albums & merchandise over the years to have you now charging massive prices at the time when the whole world is collapsing.
(Rant over)
someone who know if i must choose e-ticket from Sweden? I read this from the bookingsdirect.com
ReplyDelete13. Can my tickets be posted abroad?
Tickets booked using cards that are registered to addresses outside the UK, cannot be posted abroad and instead will automatically be held for collection at the venue Box Office regardless of the delivery method chosen at the time of booking.
So i guess e-ticket is the only way?
/Lasse
I agree with ya Irishcure! Prices for tickets for any major show are just ridiculous today. I was looking at some old ticket stubs I had from shows back in the 80's and damn you could get great seats on the floor in the 11st 20 rows for under $40 USD. And GA was a steal at $20-$25 pop even less than that too.
ReplyDeleteNow the cheap back of the venue seats can cost well over $50 USD. It's the major reason why I hardly ever go to concerts anymore. I just cannot afford it!
Whoowee, that is pretty dang expensive. Made me think twice as well. But then I am reminded, this is a once in a lifetime thing, and I'd be lucky to even get my hands on a pair of tickets. The price is something we'll just have to live with. Also, it's not like I'm all that poor, I can afford this if I really really want to. And I do.
ReplyDeleteLasse, as i understand it , e-ticket is the only option for foreign cards, but you can pick up your tickets up to 1 1/2 hour before the show if i am not mistaken..
ReplyDeleteTotally agree on ticket prices, extortionate!! Almost glad they are only playing 1 night only in England...Good luck everyone for tomorrow mornig!
@cure_kitty
ReplyDeleteI still have my Kissing Tour and Prayer Tour tickets.. The Kissing one was £8.50 and Prayer Tour £9.50 (I think)
I just think £100 to stand is extortionate.. I too am having second thoughts.. I know its a very special show but to me its an obscene amount of money, and I can't understand why its so much more expensive compared to 2006..
Given that there will be more people in for this than there were then..
thanks for answer JC:)
ReplyDeleteGood luck for you to:)
/Lasse
Slighlty panicking that my group of ticket buyers will end each end up being successful in getting 4 tickets leaving us with 8 tickets to re-sell and cos of the prices we won't be able to re-sell.
ReplyDeleteI know it's unlikely we'll get all or get stuck with them if we do but at these prices I'm still a bit anxious!
I wouldn't worry about that too much. I had so many people begging for help finding tickets for Sydney, and some ended up paying insane prices. If you get extras, just let me know and I will post them for you, and send people your way. As long as you sell at face value, I can help you sell them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Craig, I would only ever sell at face value to other fans despite having worked for a ticket agent in the past....
ReplyDeleteI called the RAH boxoffice who told me that the standing setup capacity was 5,300 attendees, just a bit more than the maximum seating setup (5,250).
ReplyDelete@davidaftertherain that might be because they might not have the gallery at the top open (which is always standing but normally only for classical concerts i think)
ReplyDelete@davidaftertherain
ReplyDeleteThats a surprise.. I thought pulling the chairs out would have meant considerably more than an extra 50 people..
Its gonna be pretty spacious down on the floor then..
book a gig on a weekend day and I'll be there
ReplyDelete@Fandango
ReplyDeleteIf only those prices were still happening today! I'd go to more shows.
Good luck to everyone! What a beautiful venue no matter where you end up.
ReplyDeletegood luck!
ReplyDeletecheers for the luck! will need it :)
ReplyDeletenow I just can't decide which website to order from..
RAH Gigantic or Bookings direct. hmmm
and thanks Craig for offering to help out with selling extra tickets, i'll definitely be begging on here if i miss out.
Good luck, everyone! Hope you all get the tickets you want!
ReplyDeleteI got 3 tickets NO PROBLEM AT ALL from the Gigantic link on the CoF site - worth a go if you've not tried it.
ReplyDeleteCheers Craig!
Great!
ReplyDeleteLooks like most are sold out now. Keep trying, though, as some will be released from carts as people change their minds.
it's already sold out. didn't get a ticvket. please, please if someone has bought one more please sell it to me!
ReplyDeleteLong queues at RAH and bookings direct.
ReplyDeleteSmooth through Gigantic. Hope you can trust that site!
No luck :(
ReplyDeleteMarco, try the See Tickets link. Still have standing available.
ReplyDeletesold out within 6 minutes!
ReplyDeleteGot my Ticket! :-)
ReplyDeletesold out at 9.01
ReplyDeletehow does anyone get through
i need tickets help
Shite didnt get any ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has 4 for the arena I would love to buy them from you.
SeeTickets still have Arena standing
ReplyDeletei had exactly a power blackout at 10. and 6 minutes later everything was sold out. fate!
ReplyDelete@ Craig
ReplyDeleteSorry mate re See when you put in your details you get back a message
Sorry, there has been a problem with your order
Reason - PLEASE CALL 0871 220 0260 TO CHECK ON AVAILABILITY
tried from 8:30am & it was sold out before they even went on sale...
ReplyDeleteno doubt will be on seatwave / ebay very soon - not happy
SORRY TO USE CAPS- I KNOW ITS NOT THE DONE THING HERE- BUT I HAVE CALLED OVER 150 TIMES AND HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO GET THROUGH- AND I AM GETTING TEXTS AND CALLS FROM NON CURE FRIENDS SAYING HEY! I GOT MY FOUR TICKETS!!SOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYED
ReplyDeleteYeah! I got 2 tickets for the Centre Stalls, section M, on the right side of the stage. Man, it was sold out fast.
ReplyDeleteThat was tough. Gigantic was the first site to show a book tickets button and at 09:00 they were showing as sold out. Most other sites the same.
ReplyDeleteLuckily my friend managed to get two stalls tickets so chuffed to bits as this is where we wanted to be.
Unfortunately the touts have got some - they are on eBay already at £395 per ticket!!!!
Really sad as I missed out, tickets seemed to go in about 3 minutes, perhaps my PC connection was not fast enough. Pretty annoyed about the ticket prices, even the £75 ticket band is still a lot of money for some of us.....but I suppose the fact they sold out indicates its not a problem for most.....very sad, havnt missed an English Cure gig for years...... :(
ReplyDelete"That was tough. Gigantic was the first site to show a book tickets button and at 09:00 they were showing as sold out."
ReplyDeleteSaw the same thing BUT
I refreshed the page and alas tickets were on sale.
ents24 sold out, see ticket would let me proceed. got a failure message.
ReplyDeletei tried again but nothing. i'm devastated
ReplyDeletetry it again
ReplyDeletei got one 30 seconds ago after being sold out before
I never ever understood that : How can tickets be sold at 08:30 when they go on sale at 09:00 ? That's really not right for those who respect the rules...
ReplyDeleteI was 220 in the queue on the RAH page at 09:00, when the page suddenly stopped working. Picked up the phone to ticketmaster, all their allocated tickets had gone except a few at £75, so...
I was looking for a cheaper one, preferably a behind the stage, would have been interesting.
See you there (if I can catch a plane after work on the day!)
I am abso disgusted with r.a.h...
ReplyDeletedid hear on the grapevine that only 2000 tickets will be available to the public through booking agents ..395 for ticket on ebay .. where has the fan loyalty gone , i mean come on !!!!!!! if it was put on at wembley arena or o2 arena ,still would of sold out as such a event .....lost FAITH
Keep trying, people. I just got a ticket in the Stalls from Bookings Direct. I think. I hope. Good luck!
ReplyDeletethere are some still on sale at the NME website, but they're £170.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.viagogo.co.uk/nme/Concert-Tickets/Rock-and-Pop/The-Cure-Tickets
ReplyDeleteWow, that's amazing, look how many are already on sale for 5x their value on Viagogo :(
ReplyDeletea real shame, the only good thing. i can save some money;-)
ReplyDeleteSomebody's getting very rich today at the expense of cure fans who were pipped to the post! It really isn't fair is it. I hope the touts get their feet chewed off by stray dogs.
ReplyDeleteLet's just hope that as with the Sydney show, some fans got extras and will be offering them at face value to other fans.
ReplyDeleteJust got a ticket on RHA site, after loosing one before! SOOOOOOO Excited I'm shaking!
ReplyDeletebookingdirect is definitley sold out!
ReplyDeleteI was shaking all the way through making that order.."Please don't go down"..submit.."Please don't go down"...YES!
ReplyDeleteHope something bad happens to the people selling them for £400+ now.
I had similar experience with most of you.
ReplyDeleteGigantic was all sold out at 8.58
R.A.H allowed me to select arena seats..then froze and refreshed and said there was an error, tickets were sold out (still 9.00)
Bookingsdirect went through without any problems at 9.00am.
Unfortunately I only could afford a ticket for myself and my friend. Wish i could help someone out. Hopefully the tickets sold to Cure fans and they will soon start offering their extra tickets here.
i failed getting tickets but my friend was able to score standing for me too! what was interesting is that we both tried from booking direct and he got "find tickets" nearly a minute earlier than me. when i finally was able to book tickets all standing ones were gone.
ReplyDelete2nd teir for me... no option for standing at 09.00. really stressful morning...
ReplyDeleteweldone everyone that mananaged to get some
ReplyDeleteHad I been able to buy several tickets, I would have done it to re-sell it to those who didn't manage to get one.
ReplyDeleteBut during my conversation with the operator, I first said I wanted only one, and later when I realise I should take several she said the one we were talking about was the last one, all other tickets allocated had been sold.
See tickets still showing standing tickets available:
ReplyDeletehttp://www2.seetickets.com/nme/price.asp?code=593227&userid={8F3B8F8C-C394-466D-987D-E6ADF7BD745E}&filler1=see&filler3=id1nmestory
Available at the RAH link again! Hurry!
ReplyDelete"Gigantic was all sold out at 8.58"
ReplyDeleteActually it wasn't. Got my tickets at 9.03. Just had to refresh the page.
But yeah, I feel like I won the lottery :)
Wooohooo, got my ticket! Damn, so happy...now find a way to get there form Holland...
ReplyDeleteYeah, Gigantic had them if you just hit refresh a few times after 9.
ReplyDeleteseetickets still show tickets but when you proceed you land nowhere.
ReplyDelete@John Malloy: Stressful indeed. The half hour before the sale started, I was shaking all over.
ReplyDeleteThen when you've got the tickets reserved, you need to get everything done within 10 minutes or your reservation is gone. It's pretty hard to stay cool and make sure you're entering everything correctly when you're under that kind of pressure.
Cant believe my luck getting 4 :).....sorry for all those who missed out (i feel your pain)

ReplyDeleteI have 1 of these spare: 2T 56, £125.00, 2nd Tier, Seats No(s): 1, 2. So £125 + 4.50 fee + any postage: jo@jonightingale.co.uk
ReplyDeleteThats a f*g way of selling tickets. Some guys got rich selling the tix minutes after 9:00 for even more than 1000€ each...
ReplyDeleteNo CHANCE without fan-presale and without "personized" tickets.
I guess i'll go to the next Justin Bieber concert instead...sad...
Hi there...I am completely devastated...was here at 8:30 am and then at 9 am tried the websites...then at 9:01 had my standing tickets but then ...sorry SOLD OUT.
ReplyDeleteany good soul out there willing to sell a ticket for £100 or £110 (plus the booking fee) please? im so sick of these resellers...so completely sick of these people selling on ebay.
please contact me to this email: jessicasuareznunez@gmail.com
thank you a lot curefriends.
I can't understand how i can get Sydney tickets no problem, yet i can't get one for a show 1 mile down the road! Oh wait! Yes...It's called pre-sale!
ReplyDeleteI have come down a bit now that i somehow secured a ticket, but like all of you on here who couldn't get any..i feel really dejected by how the whole thing went..Sorry for all of you who won't make it..
Try http://www.aloud.com/tickets/the-cure.
ReplyDelete"No CHANCE without fan-presale and without "personized" tickets."
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't it being done? I saw Roma-Lazio some years ago and the name on the ticket had to be the same as the ID you have. I mean that was like 80.000 people - this is just 5.000.
i can't understand the kind of "seats" they are selling on seetickets.. are they behind the stage?!
ReplyDeleteI've gone down the seatwave route (£285 for standing ticket) won't be going out for a month or two.
ReplyDeleteBut I did Berlin & not missing this - shame there wasn't a pre-sale...
Aloud.Com have still got tickets in the £25 section. x
ReplyDeleteAloud.com still have £25 tickets as at 1 min ago. x
ReplyDeleteTime to think about flights and accommodation.....Is there going to be some sort of fan meet up?
ReplyDeleteNight before/Day of show??
When are people travelling for the show, the day of show or staying a couple of nights?
I will have 2 spare ones. I managed to get 2 at £135 (see tickets) and 2 at £150 (RAH site). Once my husband and I have decided which seats we want to keep, I will put the others on here at Face Value. I bought the max that I could as I didn't want real fans to lose out by them being bought by touts. x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jubline!
ReplyDeleteI HAVE ONE TICKET!!!! A FAN FROM BARCELONA (SPAIN) WILL BE IN LONDON AGAIN!!!
ReplyDeleteTHE RAH WEB WAS SOLD OUT AND A TOTAL COLAPSE!!!

I need 2 tickets as well...already arranged the flight from Austria. look forward to any response to pp@hpp.at
ReplyDeletevery interesting:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/HOW-GET-SOLD-OUT-CURE-TICKETS-London-Royal-Albert-Hall-/350494806935?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item519b1e5397
If anyone got a ticket to sell to me (for me): info@cureuphoria.com
ReplyDeleteIt's sad! All this speculation!
Is there anything that I can do now? I didn't even sleep all night long and still I didn't manage to get one ticket.. this feels really bad.
ReplyDeleteSo am I out of options right now?
Oh, and I am willing to pay any amount as long as it doesn't reach the ridiculous ebay levels.
kondim@gmail.com just in case that someone knows how it feels to be awake for more than 24 hours and all this for nothing :P.
i waited to book my flight fom vienna to london which seems to be clever now;-(
ReplyDeleteBugger it! I'm giving up, it's stressing me out too much! I had two tickets "in my hand" only for there to be a problem with my card. By the time I'd sorted it they'd gone. Bah.
ReplyDeleteI somehow managed to get 4 tickets. Feeling very lucky. They are all allocated to deserving fans of this site already but if any become free I'll let you know.
ReplyDeleteI've gotta be honest. I find it a bit of a disgrace that basic tickets for this gig in the standing areas were over £100. I think its sad that a band like The Cure, who have always played for value for money and to keep ticket prices down have now decided to become one of the highest costing bands to see.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know its a 'special show' but we're in a recession and the band nor the Royal Albert Hall are hardly on their arses money wise are they?
I know that there were £25 tickets but there were literally only a couple of hundred of them, if that. To sell the majority of your tickets at the £100 mark is just a disgrace, sorry. Thanks for all the info Craig and I hope you enjoy your U.S shows.
Did anyone get tickets via phone?
ReplyDeleteI think La Cura is excited. : )
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has 2 extras, Ellen is looking to buy them. Please contact her at cats.n.cheese@gmail.com or cats_n_cheese@yahoo.com.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Missed out on these. Completely misjudged how great the demand would be. I find it disgusting that touts are selling these tickets for several times the face value already. Shouldn't there be a law against this?
ReplyDeleteThere's a great seat plan on this site. Shows individual seats and numbers: http://www.ideensynthese.de/spiritualized/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10109&start=75
ReplyDeleteGot a page open for a standing arena ticket at £316.65 since 1 hour, and wondering if I should take it. But I hate this speculation!
ReplyDeletePretty pissed off also that US gets 6 (!!!) concerts and Europe just one. They could probably easily sell out a second European show somewhere too.
ReplyDeleteHello Curefans,
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has two spare tickets I would be very gratefull if you could email me: wyllen71@yahoo.co.uk
Cheers
Chuck
Thank you Cure1980! And Beau, despite being a confirmed "sun sines out of RS's bum" type, I totally agree! I was eally shocked by the prices, especially the standing. I've seen them twice at the RAH before (admittedly the first time was 1986!) and it wasn't this expensive. Craig, tied the phone. Engaged!
ReplyDeletei just got a stalls ticket...
ReplyDeletekeep trying ....thery're still selling tickets @ bookings direct
finally not sad anymore...
That is awesome! Congratulations!
ReplyDeletePJW: Yeap, it was only £38 in 2006! But whats done is done I suppose. I'll just have to see if I can get a £25 ticket along the way.
ReplyDeleteHi there ! Thanks a lot Craig, for helping us getting tickets at a face value. I'm looking for at least 3 tickets. Pleaaaaaaaase !
ReplyDeleteStill no luck for me. Bookingsdirect is still showing "sodl out"!
ReplyDeletei got a choir ticket. if somebody prefers to watch the show seated instead of standing, i'd gladly swap the tickets, i'll add the difference obviously.
ReplyDeletei really wanna be in the standing area.
@ Swinging Adonais
ReplyDeleteSad but very true.. This doesn't make sense, only 1 chance for Europeans and at such a small venue.
Wishful thinking obviously, but I hope that they add at least an extra date somehow, after all the tickets sold out in less than half an hour.
Argh, it's hearbreaking. Not failing to get tickets, but the fact i was ambivalent about going in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI've been obsessed with the band since 1991, have followed them slavishly ever since: got excited about every album, checked Chain of Flowers every day since 1997 (Craig, you're a true legend), been to see them live whenever i can.
I'm thrilled so many people still love them, but with Porl leaving (again) and now this funny Trilogy business, i woke up this morning and realised i don't care anymore.
Off topic i suppose, but this is a good thread for people feeling Cure-related pain.
Thanks for all your effort Craig, good luck to those who still want tickets, and...adieu. xxx
Stalls available now at BookingsDirect..
ReplyDeleteSections J & L..
These are pretty good seats.
no sold out already!
ReplyDeleteYeah sorry.. By the time I had posted they had gone..
ReplyDeleteIt does seem that sporadic seats are popping up though..
Might be worth refreshing the pages for a while yet... :)
They come and go so quickly! You just have to be very lucky and very quick!
ReplyDeleteFinaly got it! Stalls seat, J Section! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have gotten very lucky with sold out shows that way. Someone's credit card gets declined or their shopping basket gets emptied, and you can get fantastic seats long after the show has "sold out".
ReplyDeleteProblem is you have to sit there refreshing for hours and just hoping something pops up and you're fast enough to get it.
Yes! Way to go, Gian! Very happy for you! Luck was with you! : )
ReplyDeleteno problem. with the saved money i will make a trip with my family to copenhagen in spring;-)))
ReplyDelete@Gian
ReplyDeleteI sat in the J section seating for the 2006 show..
Its a great view of the stage from there... :)
Thanks Craig, I appreciate! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGuys, keep pushing that Reload botton over and over again on Bookingsdirects…! Best of luck to you all!
@Fandango Thanks for the input. I hope it is.
ReplyDeleteI was there in 2006, mmm…, 2nd row in front of Robert! That was a seat!
Craig - I've emailed Ellen about our 2 spare tickets. If she has already found some, I shall let you know so that they can go to someone else. Thanks. J x
ReplyDeleteSuggestion: if you real fans get lucky to get into bookingsdirect, buy more than 1 ticket, so you can sell it at face value to real fans via COF!
ReplyDeleteWow, I just got two stalls seats from the RAH website, keep trying chaps!
ReplyDeleteI was so miserable and now I am so happy!
Good luck!
anyone, standing ticket at reasonable price? pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thank you.
ReplyDeletejessicasuareznunez@gmail.com
pd: Im afraid Ill have to be posting this one every day! sorry...
@Gian
ReplyDeleteSounds like we have swapped around then..
I managed to get Arena Standing this time and hope to be pretty close to the front.
But the J seats are still good.. I would certainly recommend them.. :)
Thank you so much, Jubline! Hope it all works out!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Chas! This is so great that more fans are getting in now!
ReplyDeleteSee Tickets went live at 8.58, so I tried with them, but got booted out after adding my details (I hope they don't charge me!).
ReplyDeletePanicking slightly, I jumped to Bookings Direct and managed to get two standing. It was worth the sleepless night, then.
Are we expecting the New York sales to be this chaotic?
Ok this thing is driving me crazy, I didn't sleep all night long just to be sure that I 'll get the tickets on time. It's been 4 hours since the tickets went online and I am still clicking on refresh every 10'' just in case that I 'll finally manage to get something.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should just go to sleep, this is such a letdown..
Hello,
ReplyDeleteBelgium will be there...
I've succedeed in the purchase !
well, it's a kind of dream for me...
I hope that the sending is secured !! (there was no choice for that).
Pops - Congratulations! I believe it was said that for those ordering from outside the UK, the tickets will not be mailed to you, you have to pick them up at the box office on the day of the show.
ReplyDeleteFinally back from my breakfast work event and no tickets from 2 or the 3 people in the group who were trying. 3rd person was the strongest hope though, only problem is he's not answering his phone, hoping that;'s a good sign......
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed.
Also, it's a pain but I do suggest everyone keeps trying right up until the night, they will go through to see if anyone has more than 4 and cancel tickets, they'll be some just caught in the systems, some credit cards will reject and there will be sightline and producer holds that will go back on sale in the few days before the gig.
Good luck to those like me that are currently ticketless and hope we all get sorted.
hello Craig, thanks !
ReplyDeleteMy confirmation mail said "Your tickets will be posted out within the next week or two. Please note that on some occasions it is sometimes necessary to delay tickets being posted to approximately two weeks before the show. This is due to circumstances beyond our control. "
so, apparently, they send them...
Ah! Okay. I must have had that confused with something else. It has been a crazy morning. : )
ReplyDeleteCraig - Im not in the Uk and it said the tickets will be posted!
ReplyDeleteyes, really crazy here too.
ReplyDeleteI was at work, we were 3 to try to buy some tickets... linked by phone... well a real organisation to succeed :-)
