Here's part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4
Here's the audio recording. Thank you, @AaronLaw92.
Robert Smith (after someone gave him a hat): "I've never worn a hat in my life!" Hmm, then what's this? Thanks, @mlindenuk. Oh look, another one! Thanks, Perfect.Murder. And how on Earth could he possibly not remember this one? Thanks, @glovestudios. This is exactly why Robert hates the internet. :)
Addressing the ugly situation that happened a couple of days ago in Brasil. Roger says it's in the past. Robert confirms he wasn't there. It was Simon, Roger & Jason. Roger said it wasn't an assault. It was an attempt to steal from them. Also said it did not color their opinion or love for Brasil. Robert said it happened on the trip from Rio to Sao Paulo, but he and Reeves were on a bus, separate from the others. Robert says it was a very colorful incident, to which Roger laughingly replied "It's very colorful."

Hi craig. Is this a scheduled thing or has it been arranged bedause of the assault rumours.Seems unusual.
ReplyDeleteScheduled before any of that nonsense started. It was listed in the same stupid article that listed the bands flight & hotel info before they even arrived in Paraguay.
DeleteThey seem to have a good time, it's nice to hear.
ReplyDeleteWow...
ReplyDeleteThey ask long questions in Paraguay!
Something interesting from Robert? Thanx, Marco
ReplyDeleteI wish Simon took off his glasses... that's all. Can't wait to hear what was or not revealed.

Crazed fans In a controlled situation make for a good video
ReplyDeleteThat's too much conspiracy type talk for me. If that wanted that, there are other ways to do it. Safer. More controlled staging.
DeleteWere the CIA agents and Edgar Hoover there too ?!
ReplyDeleteI swear I saw Tim Pope on the grassy knoll!
DeleteMe too, dancing with a cow in his arms.
Deletefirst thing I said to Roger: GIMME YOUR WATCH!

DeleteYou are owed nothing.
DeleteApart from overrated nonsense like 'social networking' the digital revolution has also provided 'TEH HARDCORE FANS' with the ability to steal music. Why not do that if you begrudge him his royalties?
Is it any wonder he has no interest in the social side of the internet? Maybe he doesn't want to deal with people who have an over-inflated sense of entitlement and the continuous blather of obsessed geek nutcases.
To be released in 2014!

Is there an actual article regarding this incident?
ReplyDeleteI think you should change the subject. in fact i would like to know too, but it seems it's none of our business, so...
ReplyDeletei like the picture #1, with all the 'spots', looks nice.
Photo #4: Roberto Smith! lol!
ReplyDeleteWas this journalist on drugs or just plain stupid? (The one destroying songs asking how well The Cure knows The Cure) WTF?
ReplyDeleteHahaha...they do things very differently down in Paraguay. :)
Deletethe band was very polite in giving him so much time for this crap. first i thought this is just a joke but he really meant it. not a real journalist more a freak!
DeletePart 2 is up
ReplyDeletehttp://youtu.be/CSz1DmUatYU
Parts 3 and 4 are up now too.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the interview.
ReplyDeleteRoger saying about the "assault" - "It's not true" and then Simon saying "it's not?" and then Roger and Robert cracking up. :)
I know! So funny! Roger was trying to keep it private, and Simon ruined it. :)
DeleteThe whole thing had me cracking up. Some of those expressions on Robert's face! :) I think you can tell he would have rather been anywhere but there. :)
and also, as he listens to the female translator:
Delete"Did I really speak THAT long and say ALL that?"
lol!
I think it is hilarious how much interest is placed on
ReplyDeleteA water bottle. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteDid I really watch all of that? What a pointless press conference! And Simon sure looked like he wanted to be there...
ReplyDeletesame here. only totally boring questions. if i had once the chance to aks them questions i would come up with something more intelligent!
DeleteWhen did Robert get that tattoo? @8:16
ReplyDeleteI love the rare opportunities we get to see the group goofing off!
ReplyDeleteI think it (tattoo) is the Amnesty International logo..
