The new bio has been added to the official site. Note the part about all SummerCure shows being filmed for a possible DVD release - "All the shows were filmed in various formats… "with a future DVD release in mind"!" (Thanks Aaron)
The lineup now should be Robert, Laurence, Simon, Reeves and Budgie. What it is now is the same as the 1996 - 2004 lineup but with just Perry being replaced. Still good though.
Every so often they announce plans for a future live DVD release. How many of these damn things are they going to announce and then NEVER release!? The more they announce them, the more each previous one gets pushed down the pipeline and never sees the light of day, including the re-releases of things like Show and In Orange. Now the phrase "filmed with a future DVD release in mind" is virtually meaningless. Then there's the issue of a new album... So many hold-ups in Cure-ville, it's quite frustrating.
So is this the longest we've ever waited for a new Cure album?
ReplyDeleteYes. There had hit a 4-year cycle that is now stretching into 5 apparently.
DeleteJames, yup.
