  2. Oh dear. Only two weeks on the UK chart? That can't even be close to being normal is it?

  3. What a shame it couldn't stay on the charts longer.

  5. It´s a complete flop.

4:13 Dream entered The Billboard 200 at number 16, but quickly fell to 60 (week 2) and to 109 (week 3).

Disgraceful sales for a great record.

  6. On the one hand, I don't care about charts, but on the other hand (the ambivalent one), I want this album to be broadcast to the world, I love it so.

Srsly, best Cure album since BF, and perhaps as good as BF. Perhaps better.

I DID NOT SAY THAT. I AM NOT CHEATING ON YOU BF.

  8. Well, I have a few ideas.

The record was available at Myspace, where I used to listen to it every day. UTS has 234,875 plays so far (Now only five songs are there).

The Rome Show - I have all the MP3s, and I think the live versions are way better.

I´m a HUGE Cure fan from Brazil and I have all the 12 previous records, but I don´t feel like buying this one, because I already have the live show and CDs are too expensive.

  9. I popped in Zavvi's Piccadilly Circus branch in London (one of the biggest music store)today. "4:13 Dream" is not to be seen in the New CD section nor The Cure section. They don't have "4:13 Dream" index nor any mention of it. I asked a shop assistant if they have The Cure's new album, and was told "I think we have copies, well...I can't find it, they must have been sold out". Don't they carry any stock?? I also found that the Smith, U2, Echo and the Bunnymen have much bigger space and selections of their CDs. This is disgraceful!!!

  11. It's all so out of kilter: World tour before the album comes out. Then the much delayed album comes out post tour, just when they're obviously taking a bit of a (well earned) break, so with the exception of the seemingly hastily arranged Rome show there's not been a lot of promotion.
Now they are doing a spate of appearances/ shows in the states and the "Big Gig" in London. I wonder if sales will get a boost as a result? Hope so, because I feel the same as Cat. It just breaks my heart to see such a wonderful album do so badly!

  14. No music videos. No airplay. Half of the album released as singles. NO TOUR. And never having an actual release date for the album is what did it. Plus the song The Only One is not really that good. The rest of the album is a masterpiece.

Hopefully they will be able to recover after being on Jay Leno. They have to let the world know they are back, because they only people that know they are back is the true hardcore fans like me.
