Rihanna "samples" LGTB

As Perfect.Murder first mentioned in the Lady Gaga thread, Rihanna has also "sampled" The Cure for her song 'S&M'. Listen at 2:31, and again towards the end of the song. Clearly a bit of 'Let's Go To Bed'. (Thanks Perfect.Murder and Joanne)

  3. While Let's Go to Bed is a good choice, Master and Servant would have been better, and, let's face it, sounds about the same.

  5. Well it was as clear in LG's song. The question is, are the samples mentionned in these songs credits? if not...

  6. Yes, does anyone have the album? Can you check the credits for us?

  7. Not listed in the credits posted on Wikipedia.

  8. I dont think its a sample myself. Just a keyboard riff thats somewhat similar but not exactly the same if you listen close.

  9. If it's not a sampler, it's a rip-off. It's not similar, it's almost identical... Law suit material.

  10. Exactly. They changed the very end of it, but that is still the riff from LGTB.

  11. Good spot! BTW has anyone mentioned that the arrangement Adele used for her cover of Lovesong was originally intended for Barbara Streisand?

  12. Hey Nick. Yes, see my post about it on Feb. 22nd.

  14. Once again, it's not a sample, it's a pretty well used keyboard riff that has been used numerous times, not just by The Cure, but by the already mentioned Depeche Mode usage in Master and Servant and in Ministry's "All Day", however slightly different.

  15. Just your opinion. You have no idea what the inspiration for this one, or the Gaga track, was.
