Update (3/7/11): Just got confirmation from David at Sunshine Records: "The Cure Entreat Plus has been listed as an RSD title by Warner. A bunch of releases that were cancelled earlier are now coming as RSD titles."
Update 2 (3/23/11): Well the RSD release sheet doesn't have 'Entreat Plus' listed, so the mystery continues. I've heard that this isn't the final, set in stone list, and there's more that may be added (for instance, the list is also missing the Interpol 2011 remix EP that Matador Records has mentioned), so we'll wait and see. (Thanks We Listen For You)

ReplyDeleteso this release too will be limited then?
ReplyDeleteYes, it will be limited. Details are still being worked out, and I'll post as soon as I know more, but at least it's getting a release over here.

ReplyDeletei love record store day. but one does not keep me away from my cure releases like this! bastards...
ReplyDeleteMy UK order of the black vinyl was cancelled yesterday, despite being able to order last week....According to Amzon UK
ReplyDelete"Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available. This item has now been cancelled from your order #026-xxxxxx and we can confirm that you have not been charged for it."
Ooh I called that one! (I know, big deal!) :)
ReplyDeleteGreat news that this will indeed be available in the US, but I wish it was the awesome multi-coloured version...
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to hit up the local record shop that morning to get this and the Deftones covers lp.
so will the ideal copy still get it? theres not a local record store near me..
ReplyDeleteOnly if Ideal Copy are participating in the event, and even if they do, they will only get a very limited number. Let me ask Chris @ Ideal about this for you.
ReplyDeleteso I guess it's zero chance to order it from Europe?
ReplyDeletethis album is still coming from a major label...i don't trust that entreat plus will be a RSD only release but more like THE release date. i would be more focused on the other RSD specials. i bet i can get entreat plus anytime after RSD...this album was always talked about as a regular release up to recently...doesn't make sense to me other than a marketing ploy.
ReplyDeletemajor labels are taking advantage of the increase RSD traffic more and more each year.
FYI: The US version of Entreat Plus is not listed on the Record Store Day master release list. Here is the master list:

@Craig, could you bump this up to see it easier? thanks.
ReplyDeleteAndy: I'm waiting on more info before I bump this or make a new post about it.
ReplyDeleteJust got an e-mail from Amoeba Music and still nothing
ReplyDeletetheir list
Yeah, I am getting nothing on this. Either this is going to be a complete surprise to everyone (including the people at Warner/Elektra/Atlantic) or Sunrise Records had some false info. No one else has heard anything about it coming out for RSD, and everyone says it has either been canceled or delayed indefinitely.
