DM Tour of the Universe hits North America

Depeche Mode's Tour of the Universe: Earth - North America starts tonight in Toronto. Good luck to Martin, Dave, Fletch, Peter, and Christian, and here's hoping for no more troubles on this leg of the tour. For those of you heading to the Toronto and Montreal shows, I hope you have safe trips and a fantastic time at the shows!
Update: Looks like a great show and successful kickoff to the NA tour. And they made a change in the setlist. Minor, but for DM, that's huge. : )

  1. I'll be at the Toronto show tonight. Very much looking forward to it!

  2. My wife won tickets from the radio station for the Oakland Ca show. Thus continues the long battle in my family...which is better The Cure or Depeche Mode.

We all know the answer The Cure > Depeche Mode, but for some reason my wife will not concede.

  3. Can't wait for Vegas show on 8/22!!!! YEAH!!!! Wishing my trip down the stairs is a safe one!!!!

Skraps... The Cure over Depeche Mode ALWAYS!!!!!

  4. And I've just heard that they cancelled the Brazil concerts. Hope this does not extend to the entire Latin America leg :o(

  5. Should be a treat to see all the different setlists from city to....oh wait...

  6. Oh, unfortunately they cancelled their concert in Brazil :(

  7. right on, 2 more weeks till the show I am seeing !!!!!!!! yay...

I feel horrible for my friend in Brazil.. true bummer..

  8. This doesn't happen very often - a simultaneous Curespotting / DM-Spotting!

Depeche Mode's Andy Fletcher checks in with the Washington Post and says that:

"We can't do a Robert Smith and play for three-and-a-half hours. I don't think Dave can run around and dance for that long. The problem with the Cure is they did it a couple of times and then when they went back to a normal set people complained."
