The Dark Album - No recent news about the next album, or when it will be released. The band are no longer signed with Geffen, and there is no word yet on where they will end up next.

Live Shows/Tours - As of mid-December, there has been no talk of any live shows or tours in the near future.

Remastered CDs - Disintegration is scheduled to be released on Feb. 16th, 2010 (US) as a 3 CD deluxe edition, a single CD, and double vinyl. Track list and more info at TheCure.com.

Mark Reeder reworks A Forest

Mark Reeder's MySpace update says that he has reworked the Robert/Blank & Jones version of A Forest, and that it will be included on his new album, Reordered, which is due out this summer. There's also mention of it on New Order Online.

Yet another Forest version. I thought FRIDAY I'M IN LOVE was the most overplayed song, but now it's looking like A FOREST is becoming the song THE CURE will be remembered for 100 YEARS from now.

That said, of course I will be adding this to my collection!
