Cure cover
"Just to let you know that Nouvelle Vague – the French band that specializes in bossa-nova-style covers of punk and new wave songs and that covered A Forest on their first album – is currently on a mini tour in the States and the very first song of their set (so far) is a cover of 100 Years. I mentioned to guitarist Olivier Libaux after the concert that I was a bit stunned that they opened the concert with this track and he replied that he likes to start with this song because it’s like “a cold shower”. Yeah the crowd sounds very enthusiastic for it...:). C'mon, is there not better Cure news out there? Someone has an advanced copy of Disintegration remastered by now and needs to share it.

Want "better" Cure news? Take it up with Robert. Can't post about things that aren't happening. There are long "dead" periods in Cureland. Get used to it. Then, when you least expect it, something exciting will pop up out of nowhere.
I'm fearing that the "long dead periods" in Cureland will last for a few more months :S

What to do with oneself during those dreaded "long dead periods". Well I have a RADICAL suggestion. Listen to your favourite Cure CD again and again and again and again and again, and then jump in front of someone elses train. What made me think of this great idea?! I'm a fucking rocket surgeon.Cheers big ears!
i believe they're from brazil ~ its a great cd to put in while you're having your car inspected! that way they don't dwell...
great! one of the best cover versions i've ever heard...
