Thanks for the warning, Craigers. :) Have you ever listened to the DVD set audio commentaries for BSG? They're really good and he's really honest about what he likes or doesn't like about an episode. You're comment just reminded me of the fact that he records these podcasts from his home at very low cost so he can do many of them, but fans complain about hearing his dogs barking and he gets pissed when people complain. I don't know. As usual my mind drifts off to weird topics.
I hope you'll use your time to relax and get some decent food. You deserve a good rest.
I'm with you CCAT, I'm not reading anyting that doesn't have something new to say about the album. come on, Robert, October 13 is just a few weeks away. How about some cover art or track listing?
I know, Kate! I mean, this release is supposed to be coming out in a mere 4+ weeks and if that's the case it must be in the printing process. Details, Robert!
Yes, on one hand, I am surprised. Yet, on the other, I am not surprised at all. I didn't realize it was a little over 4 weeks to go, so the wait will be over soon, hopefully.
On another subject - DJ (It's Debi-finally figured out my stupid password) and Clockwise - going to NIN and Deerhunter tonight. Looking forward to Deerhunter after all Clockwise's kuddos! Mogwai next Tuesday. Radiohead was damn magical, but it will be impossible to feel the same way as a Cure concert..impossible.
Thx Clockwise! I met you in the ladies' room at MSG. I came up to you...one of the many. We are everywhere! I will definitely check them out. I've been going to a lot of shows and have many more to go! It's wild baby, wild.
the cure has been done since "wish"...there have been a few side projects/movie sundtracks worthy of the cure name but robert really should have ended it on wish...
leave on a high not instead of goign the way or sting and rolling stones and U2 making wuss rock
I agree that Wish was a great album (my personal fave) but there has been so much brilliant material released since then. The only issue I can see with some of their more recent work is poor track listing choices.
I agree that The Cure's biggest problems these last few years has been choosing the right tracklisting... lol but maybe it's been that way since the beginning, they have so many great B-Sides!

ReplyDeleteWhere are they? Are they any good?

monocles are safe again
Wait, what?!?
ReplyDeleteThere is a new Cure album coming out? Thats news to me.
THE WORST ARTICLES EVER.
ReplyDeleteJust kidding. I didn't even read them yet, and likely never will.
What is this "Freakshow" they speak of in the article? Sounds intriguing. :)
ReplyDeleteDid you catch this quote in one of the articles?
"Over the last four months, the group has released a new single on the 13th day of every month, proving that the material does in fact exist"
Sounds like the author is trying to make a slam about the delays.

ReplyDeleteaww you ont want a surprise? dont you want to wait till you hold the thing in your hands? its much more exciting when youre tearing off the wrapper!
ReplyDeleteTrue, dj, but I like to be teased too!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I am surprised at the lack of "new" news these last few weeks.

ReplyDeleteHi, JPX! Miss you!

ReplyDeleteFunny, I met Cat in the bathroom too. But that story is definitely too inappropriate to share here!

ReplyDeleteCureheart: We met in the bathroom? I do remember a few bathroom encounters... LOL! Anyway, it was lovely meeting you... :-)
ReplyDeleteAnah: Please don't share our personal details with others. It's far to sacred to spread around so cavalierly.
