So Lol is celebrating the 4tour/album of a band he hasn't been part of for 19 years and who he sued?

saw lol at the very first cure convention at the palace in hollywood.

what ever happened to cure conventions anyhow? do they still even happen anymore? and if not, why not?
Actually, this event was pulled together by event promoter/musician and Curehead Veronika Sorrow -- me, not Laurence! I met Lol in San Francisco at a Levinhurst show and asked if he'd perform at my club Funeral. He was unable to but offered to hang out, have fun and drum a few songs with Cure tribute band, The Curse.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was common knowledge among Cure fans that he and Robert have long buried the hatchet and are once again friends. At any rate...there are the facts. Hope to see you all there.

The hatchet was buried long ago, and Lol and Robert bear no animosity toward one another. In fact, as some people have apparently forgotten, until most of the North American leg of the 4Tour was rescheduled, Robert was even going to help promote Levinhurst shows by having flyers put up around the venues that The Cure were playing. If you don't believe me, just check out Levinhurst's official site.
Oh, and Veronika, I watched that clip, and wow, you sound exactly like Siouxsie! Great job.

Does anyone else see the poetic irony in the fact that the word "LOL" has become perhaps the most oft-written word in the English language in the 21st Century?
