  1. Oh well, so much for the hopes of them moving the date forward a bit. They actually moved it back a week or two.

  2. it's a ploy. universal wants to rile up jpx, so they did this on purpose!

  3. Well, we could just have the tour postponed till the fall. Would make sense.
    (senses screams in the distance)

    just hope it's a double.

  4. Five more months, huh? Biiiiiiiig sigh. At this point I can't really say that I'm surprised. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense given that the tour will be over by then, but who am I to question their decisions? Oh yeah, I'm JPX!

  5. Personally, I think that it will be worth the wait once we finally have the album. Hopefully we will get another tour along with the release.

  6. It's probably just another 'penciled in' date. I wouldn't be surprised to see it pushed back to 2009.

  7. aww... i was really hoping it would be at least in early june, but thats probably impossible.

this might be a stupid question - but how did you find out? neither the cure or the record company has given the exact date

  8. Lets wait and see what happens eh...until its confirmed by something 99.9% Official (groan) we can only hope this is a sick joke....where is the logic in it coming out so long after the tour, i find it hard to beleive they will want to embark on another world tour to promote it?

sigh, grumble, fuck etc...jpx I've finally snapped

  9. DJ - This IS from the record company. We have a "spy" there who sees the anticipated release dates for the company's products. These are NOT guesses or "unconfirmed" dates. This is what Universal is expecting and planning for (at that point in time). That date will determine when/if a single is released, when and where to advertise, promotional appearances, how much lead time they'll need for interviews, tour plans, etc.

Millertime - Of course it's only "penciled in". Think they're going to use ink on a Cure release. : )

  10. Craig, I'm wondering if you should just stop posting the release dates, because the carrot that Robert and the record company have been dangling in our faces for a couple of years is well past its' expiration date, and is rotten and beginning to smell.
