2 US festivals will be announcing their lineups over the next few days, Seattle's Bumbershoot on May 2nd, and Austin City Limits on May 6th/7th. While no solid rumors have connected The Cure to either of these festivals, it's something to keep an eye on.

Update (05/02/13): No Cure for Bumbershoot. Sorry, Seattle/Pacific Northwest. Over to you, Austin City Limits. Don't you let us down, too.

Slicing Up Eyeballs' ongoing Best of the 80s project continues with their Best Album of 1982 poll, and of course, 'Pornography' is one of the options. 'Faith' won 1981, so lets make sure 'Pornography' gets the same honor.

Cure albums as books

"I thought I'd write and let you know about a series of prints I've made of three of The Cure's albums as if they'd been written as a series of books. I've taken Disintegration, Faith and The Head on the Door and created a mini-library for each, with each track as its own novel. Here's what I mean - this is the Faith print. "Mexico City radio station Reactor 105.7 fm will be turned into The CURE 105 on 21st April. Special broadcasting from Foro Sol 2-8 p.m. Mostly about what´s happening in there, chatting with fans, thoughts about the band, etc. Maybe give away posters or stickers of the band (just guessing). That´s what has been in past concerts of many bands. But you never know what else could happen. But don´t set high hopes in getting a live interview with any band member or broadcasting partially  the show. We´ll see."
