  9. Not a bad set. Nice to see things being moved around but I preferred the Oslo set. Encore two would have been good as a Disintegration encore with songs from the other shows like Last Dance, Closedown, Disintegration etc. Maybe throw in The Same Deep Water as You.

  10. It’s obvious from looking at this setlist that RS (and company) are working extra hard to keep the mix as fresh and exciting as possible, and judging from the sudden turnaround in how fans are responding it appears the efforts are gradually paying off. It appears one or more members of the band got the “memo” from earlier this week? Haha. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to balance the desires of the band members and incessant demands from fans in creating these sets. It’s not an easy feat to pull off night after night (after night). On the one hand it’s hard from an audience standpoint to NOT want more, but on the other hand I hope the recent uproar hasn’t created undue pressure and headaches for RS & co. Hopefully it will lead to “constructive stress”? I get the feeling RS would much rather stick to a pre-determined “template” with occasional variations rather than have to go through the effort of shuffling these setlists night after night (but that of course is pure speculation). As others have noted, not only do most other bands tend to stick to the same tired, cookie-cutter setlist for the entirety of their tour, but their sets are (generally) substantially shorter. I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ve been crestfallen by the lackluster concerts of other bands. Nowadays, I won’t bother to go to any concert unless the Cure are in town. The only concert I still regret missing out on after all these years is Simon and Garfunkel’s reunion tour more than a decade ago. It now appears their relationship has reached the point of no return and they will likely never perform together again...my window of opportunity has vanished. In light of the above, I really wanted to express my deep appreciation for the band’s efforts to be as accommodating as possible. However, it appears “no good deed goes unpunished”?

As far as tonight’s setlist, it looks like alt.end has made a comeback...I was wondering about that one the other day. A Strange Day...one of my favorites. Didn’t expect Baby Screams to return to the setlist so soon. It appears LGTB has come back after being “dormant” for two consecutive days.
Uh oh, this post is getting out of hand again. I was hoping to rein in these excessive posts, but look what happened...
