Roger Interview on Pharmacy Radio

Really nice interview with Roger on Pharmacy Radio. It's broken into 3 parts, and they start at 6m48s, 24m42s and 47m10s. Roger's favorite song to play live - 'Like Cockatoos'. Favorite song he played on - 'Prayers For Rain' or 'Same Deep Water As You'. Favorite Cure song to just listen to - 'All Cats Are Grey'.
(Thanks Sascha)

Can Roger be allowed to put together the setlists from now on? Or at least let the man play his favorite songs more often? :)

  1. Totally agree with letting Roger pick songs to play live. I've been dying to hear 'Like Cockatoos' and thought for sure they would starting playing it during the SummerCure tour. Alas they did not. Robert, let Roger play is favorite The Cure song! PLEASE!

  5. All Cats Are Grey is one of my favourite... in Grenoble 89 they played a long version of it, it was so nice... Anyway, although the itw is rather short, i like to Roger's speaking about the band.

  8. Re setlist choice: Guys, I totally agree with you there are songs that would be so increadible to hear live. But I think part of why it's gonna be always Robert's decision, would be, his vocal range abilities and vocal comfort zone. Remember that he has very high standard regarding his singing and some of those songs he sang for a first time 30 + years ago (ACAG is '81). And I guess it's not only particular song per se, but the combination of them. I don't know if there are ones that are more difficult to sing then others, but in order to be in the setlist, Robert needs to be 110 % comfortable singing them at least for 2 + hours. Right.

  10. It was in one of interviews when they played festivals with Reeves - Robert said mainly him and Simon choose the songs, but I guess other members have some input too.
