The Cure at ACL webcast

  1. Thanks so much. I couldn't figure out how to "rewind" its "live" feed yesterday night. This'll be great, especially since I haven't seen the band since 2008.

  3. Loved the show yesterday! The rain towards the end added to the whole atmosphere. Was it me or were they having some tech difficulties @ the beginning with Reeve's guitars?

  4. Reeves is amazing on ANLT and Give Me It. Can't wait for the next Trilogy.

  5. Anyone find the full webcast...one file verus individual songs? Someone posted the Depeche cast in full, hoped the Cure was captured as well.

  6. I really do think is the best Cure line-up I've seen/heard live. Facto.

  7. Awesome. A little frustrating though. I don't know if ACL or The Cure own the webcast, but I'd pay for that if it was an option. No further editing required. Actually, I'd just pay for that version of Give Me It :)

  8. Interesting to hear a keyboard line for "Open." Didn't they try to have Roger play guitar on that before?

    1. I think he just continues the riff from Tape throughtout Open.

What I can never hear is what Reeves plays on Open. Perry's part from Open has been discarded, which is a shame.

    2. And re Roger on guitar. I've seen him make a bit of feedback on Open but he looked very embarrassed and the feedback added nothing really, in my opinion.

I believe he used a black Gretsch, a waste of a fine guitar!

  9. Perry's part? I think that you mean Porl's. Gabrel's is horrible. His cock rock overplaying is embarrassing. All of the class is removed with his Steve Vai bullshit. Sad to see the band devolve into this.

  10. Nope, I mean Perry's part. The part you see him playing on 'Show', inbetween the feedback he produces when he stands at the amp.

Nobody plays that part in Open anymore.
