Cure fan gatherings planned for El Paso

"The Lowbrow Palace, host to a number of cutting edge music events in the El Paso area and located just a few blocks from the Don Haskins Center is reaching out to all the Cure fans coming into town.   They'd like to do something - Cure/new wave parties Wednesday night and pre-show Thursday and live original bands - Pure X and Lake of Fire - after the show.  We are awaiting confirmation and all the details and will post them as soon as we have them." (Thanks Mark)

If you're interested in attending any of these events (Wednesday night, Thursday pre-show, Thursday aftershow) please let Mark know in the comments.

  4. Hey everyone. Look forward to seeing you at The Lowbrow Palace (111 Robinson Avenue, just a couple blocks from Don Haskins). With less than 48 hours for Wednesday, 72 for Thursday, if folks here can get the word out to fellow Cure fans that would be great. Patrick at Lowbrow Palace should have a flyer Craig can post up very soon. Also if you are staying at a hotel, feel free to enroll the front desk in passing on the word to any other Cure fans staying there. See you in El Paso!

  5. In town. Just talking with folks at the drive-thru at Starbucks and at the front desk of my hotel, there is a real buzz going on for The Cure Show. I expect to get to Lowbrow Palace sometime between 8 and 9. Look forward to meeting any COFers who are already in town!

  6. Dropped by the Lowbrow Palace this evening...it is a nice venue and should be a great place to go after the show with the live music they have on hand HOWEVER they will not be opening until 7pm tomorrow,, Joe at the bar suggested Palamino's around the corner at N. Mesa and Robinson Ave.
