I was never a massive fan of Schecter guitars since the 80s when they made some lovely Strat and Tele clones, but the other day I had a strum on a 12 String that they made for Simon Hinkler of 'The Mission' It was one of the most gorgeous electric 12 strings I have ever played, so if this is anything to go by then the dislike of the brand should only be judged after playing the guitar itself.
Craig, i don't remember, should i post curespottings here in the comments, or elsewhere? Anyway, today on french tv France 2 quizz show 'Tout le monde veut prendre sa place', there was a music question "Who sang that in '92?", and they played an extract of 'high'. The young lady answered right.
what's new about the hellcat VI? i have one from about 5 years ago... love it... sold off my Fender Bass VI when i got it... the hellcat was worlds better.... i also have the ultracure, and the shape, control configuration, headstock, tuners, etc... just really don't work for me... other than getting closer to Robert's tone... no real interest in the ultracure VI... perhaps i can mod the hellcat VI pickups to use the ultracure VI pickups/wiring and get closer?
@Matthew North: I totally agree, Matthew. People should try for themselves and spend a little time with them. The UltraCure is one of my least expensive guitars but it gets used more than any other!
Well ere indoors owns a Jaguar Baritone Custom so I can do my Twang with that, though If she didnt own one id quite like the idea of the sunburst Schecter, though ehy Fender wont make the Bass VI / Jag Bari at a sensible price is beyond me seeing what other 'obscure' guitars they produce.
This is more of a 'need' than a 'want'...
ReplyDeleteSave it Schecter haters...
ReplyDeleteRobert Smith plays Schecter guitars!
