Secret 7" website mentions that "Wish" had been nominated for a Grammy Award. Did someone remember that The Cure got 3 nominations ? Have a look here for some Awards and nominations and it would cool if you could add the missing ones :

It is not up?
ReplyDeleteHmm, it was up, but now the website is all messed up.
ReplyDeleteWebsite back to normal, but artwork is gone. Tech problems?
ReplyDeleteAaron, when going in rhe artwork section, I see plenty of covers but which ones are for FIIL?
ReplyDeleteDavid, you are not supposed to know which covers are for which singles. That's the whole point of it. It's a secret 7".
ReplyDeleteOne clue to a possible Cure cover...90% chance that it includes a heart. : )
ReplyDeleteCraig, I'm missing the concept, a bit... Heard something about Paris 2008 dvd ? No more news from the film director. Do you think we could launch something for a Latin American Tour ? Sent some more Curespotting.
ReplyDeleteIts number 43
ReplyDeleteyou mean #288

ReplyDeleteCongrats to those who have been selected.
ReplyDeleteAnybody is going to the exhibit and planning to buy a secret 7"?
Indeed, when there is a heart or a Robert caricature (or a tombstone bleeding), you can pretty much be sure that for 'friday'.
I'm going to check the exhibition on the 18th and plan to buy as many singles as possible on the off chance i'll get a Cure one on RSD...Call me defeatist but i'm not hopeful :)
ReplyDeleteCool
ReplyDeleteWhy are you not hopeful?
ReplyDeleteHum, I have no idea which is Robert's sleeve!
Robert Sleeve. My guess: #007 or #119 (maybe #404?!). Well, i really don't know but hope to know soon.
ReplyDelete90% of those entries look like the submissions of a bad 9th grade art class...
ReplyDeleteMorris - there are many sleeves (I think 40-45 for each song) that were created by the teenagers from the Teenage Cancer Trust. So, yes, if it looks like it was created by a 13 year old, it's very likely to have been done by one of the cancer patients.
ReplyDeleteI thought 90% of the entries were awful. Just my opinion, don't throw rocks at me please. But as long as you had fun doing them, that's fine with me.
ReplyDeleteI'd find it funny to know if Robert had put it under a false name how many votes it would have got.
...open mouth, insert keyboard. I should have read more before getting snarky. I will say that whole Secret 7" page was very convoluted and confusing. I had no idea it had anything to do with Children and Cancer. :sigh:
ReplyDeleteWow..I won the white label test pressings. I'm one happy man at the moment
ReplyDeleteJust saw that! Congratulations, Alastair!
ReplyDeleteHaha, Fabien G, I would agree with that statement! Unfortunately, a lot of the ones that I thought were utter crap were picked and a lot of ones I thought were good didn't! I know art is subjective, but some of those had nothing to do with ANYTHING. Maybe it makes me a bad person, but I can live with that.
