  2. Think this one should really go down as Aaron's... He was the one that found it :)

  3. I guess this could be one of those 'Original Album Series' which quite a few bands (Bunnymen, Lou Reed JAMC etc) have done to flog off the old pre-mastered albums. All packaged very cheaply as well.

  5. There's an image now. Not the same design of the box, so I suppose it's a kind of boot. I don't understand why Amazon doesn't state the label.

  6. Much as these box sets are good for the consumer, they do somewhat cheapen the product as a work of art.

  7. @fabien g: i've got that "fade away"-box as lp box set already at home. it was released sometimes last year. it's definitely not official.

  8. Indeed GCS1. Though the lp box looked nice, didn't it? But that's why I believe it's not an official release, that box of cd doen't look really nice to me, and it absolutely doesn't look like the 'Original Album Series', so... but that's just a guess.

  9. A quick google search shows that the label "Commercial Marketing" has released quite a bit of music over the years - http://www.shopturbo.co.za/music/label/commercial+marketing/1

I don't know if this makes it a "legit" release or not but I can't imagine Robert giving up control of a major back catalog release like this to some shady company. The Amazon listing also doesn't mention whether these are the remastered versions or not.

  10. it's an official release, just a low-priced collection. Similar to the Original Album Series as mentioned, but put out by Universal. They're calling it the Five Classic Albums series. The UPC code is 600753356463. And it's possible that they are the original versions, not the remastered versions. Not saying that is the case for sure, just possible.

  11. Usually this is indicative of the record company that holds the rights to the music - artists that have been signed to major labels do not own their music, the record company does. Sometimes they throw together these cheap collections to make a quick buck.
