  1. that just means that a lot of people are forced to use scalpers if they want to see 3 shows.

    ReplyDelete
  2. But who needs to see all 3 show? It's the same show each night. I'd rather have more fans be able to get in to 1 show, than a select few get to see all 3 (or even worse, all 6!).

    ReplyDelete
  3. If these were normal Cure shows, with a changing setlist each night, I'd understand the need/want to see each show. But this is very different, very special, and as many fans as possible should get a chance to experience it.

I'm sure I'll be in the minority with this view, but so be it. Fair is fair, and I am very glad that Robert has imposed this limit.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Doesn't matter, all six shows will sell out in a few minutes, and most people won't get tickets.

@ spiggy; it will make it harder for people to get scalped tickets because if the limit is 2, how are the scalpers going to get blocks of tickets?

Bottom line; it's going to be tough to get tickets for these shows, and we'll have to really on the philanthropy of others.

I am getting 2 tickets for an LA show (if I can), and will be offering 1 for sale at face value here on COF to do my part. However, I will meet the person at the venue and make sure they go in, lol. I'm not selling it to someone for face to have them scalp it for $500.

  5. We'll see, but every little bit helps. No system is perfect. But this limit is good, in my eyes.

  6. Two questions, which I've posted before but nobody's answered yet so I thought I'd give it another shot.
    1. Some scalper websites that are already selling tickets obtained from season ticket holders or whatever are advertising FLOOR tickets at Pantages. Isn't this an indication that there will be a floor for the Cure shows??
    2. For a single person what are the better odds of scoring a good seat - trying to buy one ticket or two?
    Love,
    Paul

    ReplyDelete
  7. @ Paul...

    1. This is an unknown, pun intended. :) We don't know if these tickets are real, where they are coming from, or what the set up is. My friend saw a broadway show at Pantages a few weeks ago. She told me the seats are not movable. They are bolted in, like Radio City Music Hall. I don't think there can be a GA Floor at this venue.

    2. Its always better to go for 1 ticket, just from a pure numbers perspective. Like I said, I am going for 2, because if I get them I know some Cure fan who gets left out will get to go and I can do my part here.

I agree with Craig that this system will make it somewhat more fair for the fans, and perhaps it won't be the disaster London was.

Don't forget - ticket sales are still 3 weeks away. The initial buzz is slowing down. People are forgetting. Commentary on all sites is slowing down.

This will also make a difference.

My new prediction is the shows will sell out in 10 minutes, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Craig, I agree with you. I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right.
But Unknown's right, too, about philanthropy. I want to go, but I'm relying on two of my friends for a ride to LA. I'm fine buying my own ticket but it'll be all the harder to get seats together.

    ReplyDelete
  9. ? I am married to a CURE fan does that mean my household can only buy TWO tickets total for LA Reflections? Or we each can buy a PAIR?

Most people I know are flying in to NYC/LA they will need to get a hotel, ect. Not to mention it is the busiest travel week in the USA. We need to make plans - It seems a bit odd to make it so difficult for thecure.com/COF fans to not get first pre-sale codes / special allowances for buying tickets to multiple shows.

I understand the reasoning - but HELL I do not like it :( - I want to go to all of them!!! Believe me I know I am crazy and all. ;) But now what? - us crazy obsessive CURE fans will be forced to buy from scalpers? If that is at all possible. It is so stressful worrying about getting tickets and on of all days Halloween. I hate the fact that one of my favorite days of the year will be so stressful - Talk about ignoring my kids that day!!! Good luck CURE fans.. :) i hate stressing about something so much.... It sure adds to the excitement. :) but not in a good way. :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. Autumn, don't get stressed out. Remind yourself it's only music.. it's only music.. And you won't be stressed out on Halloween because the big event will be over for better or worse at 10AM. Then you can get on with your life, lol.
And yes you and your husband can buy 2 tickets each as the rule is two tickets per person, not per household. Cheaters. (-:
    @unknown - Thanks!

  11. to answer the question about "floor" tickets at pantages on ticket broker sights...

    venue, scalper, broker, consumer

venues sell large "blocks" of tickets to scalpers. every show. every season. that is the deal. if you, the scalper would like to buy X amount of tickets for the season, here is the price we will give you. a discounted price. not only do the scalpers get fist dibs on tickets, they also get them for a discount. thus long before a show goes on sale the scalper has his section or "block" of tickets before shows are even announced. when the scalper then hears of the show, he or she moves on to a broker. the broker is essentially a middleman. the broker never buys tickets from scalpers. they host several websites under different aliases. the scalper list his or her tickets on the broker sights at any price they would like to charge. ANY price. the broker then charges a percentage of that price to the consumer and calls it a "handling charge". and remember, the scalper has a block of tickets, but at this point he or she does not know much more then what section or row that block is in. it might be row A-H or floor or mezz section b. they usually dont find out until the tickets are released.

    win, win, win, lose:

venues never worry about trying to sell tickets. the show is more then half sold out before its even announced, making popular shows very hard to purchase tickets for. this creates hype around the show and the venue.

scalpers take a slight risk by committing to mass quantity's of tickets. not to worry. they can set the price as high as they like. so that J.Beebs front row ticket might cost you 1K. pure profit for the scalper. and if a show does not sell out on the broker sights.. they just go to the venue and sell the rest at the door. even if they have to sell a few below face value they had bought them below face value.

brokers take no risk. they only act as a middleman. they host a website and take calls. probably out of some smoke-filled apartment in New York with 10 phone lines and 60's style desks lining the walls. they charge an outrageous "handling" charge but never actually handle anything. only transactions over the internet. transactions they take no responsibility for. thus the multiple sites. if one gets called out as a fraud or rip-off (no problem) they have 20 others under different names and slightly different layouts.

that leaves the consumer. hands tied. if you want a decent seat for a show expect to pay double the face value. unless that show happens to be one that nobody else wants to see. then you can let ticketmaster rip you off :)

  12. I respect this - really I do. I certainly wouldn't HATE going to more than one show though! Oh well - I will NOT complain! :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. As 1/2 of a couple who are desperately hoping to spend our 6th wedding anniversary in New York for the show on the 26th, I am thankful for this policy, as it gives us a (marginally) better chance of getting tickets. I agree with Craig that, if it were a normal tour with different setlists it would be another story, but this is special, and the more fans that can get to experience it, the better.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm guessing this is a band reaction to the farce that was and still is - obtaining tickets for RAH....

    ReplyDelete
  15. there was the 2 ticket limit before RAH tickets went on sale so i don't think the farce had anything to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. This is off subject.. I got floor tickets for Bryan Ferry playing this Friday in Oakland. Can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I swear have an ulcer from "ticket anxiety". I am a new Cure fan (yes, apparently I have been living under a rock for the last several decades). I so desperately want to see them live, but I don't even know how to go about securing tickets any more. Does one get them online? At the Pantages? From Ticketmaster? Over the phone? All 4 while standing on my head? HELP! What should I do on October 31?

    ReplyDelete
  18. You guys do realize that there are ways around this 2 tickets total per person, right? Please don't get too worried about it. If you MUST go to more than 1 show, you can do it.

Say you're attending with your wife/husband/partner/best friend. Okay, you buy 2 tickets for night 1, and the other person buys for night 2 or 3.

If you are going alone, you can go to 2 nights, but will probably need someone to help you out with getting that second ticket, unless you're very lucky, as the shows will probably sell out before you can purchase one and then come back to look for another.

It's still early days on all of this. We have 2 weeks to get ready and make our plans for ticket buying. No need to panic or worry yourself to death over this. You know we are all going to help each other in anyway we can, and get as many fans in as possible.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Nice one, Paul! Would love to see him, but don't think he's coming here.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Paul - As has already been mentioned, those FLOOR seats are probably listed in error, as everything I've seen, says the seats are not removable at the Pantages. So I guess the listing is correct, that those seats are on the floor, but they are seated, not standing.

Maybe there could be a very small Pit in front? Not sure.

And it is ALWAYS better to buy a single ticket than to buy two together. That can make the difference between 3rd row and 20th row.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nancy - At the moment, it looks like the tickets will be on sale at Ticketmaster. Definitely online, but possibly by phone as well. Pantages box office might sell some, too, but haven't heard anything on that yet.

I can assure you that I will post all ticket buying info on the front page, as we get closer to the sale date. You will not be left in the dark on this. We will all help you as much as possible.

But please don't be tied to that Oct. 31st date. I am willing to bet that there will be at least 2-3 pre-sales the week before. So really pay close attention around the week of Oct. 24th - 29th.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Autumn - Yes, you can buy 2, and your husband can buy 2. The limit is per person. Though you might need to use 2 different credit cards for the transactions. Still a lot up in the air on all of this, but will post when I hear more.

And as a huge Halloween fan, I beg you not to let this ruin it for you or your kids! Deal with the ticket situation in the morning, and if it doesn't all work out, then let it go for the rest of the day. Enjoy the holiday, and then come back the next morning and work on getting your tickets.

I know, easier said than done, but don't let it stress you out and ruin your fun.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Craig, you ROCK! Thank you for the info! I feel much, much bettah!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Craig, have you heard if hard tickets will be sent by mail or will they held at the venue for pick up with ID & Credit Card? If tickets are held at Will Call, do you think an early pickup would be possible or strictly on the day of the show? Just curious if you've heard further details...

    ReplyDelete
  25. i wish they would release the ticket prices for the New York Shows. they aren't up on the Beacon Theatre website yet. could one assume that they'll be roughly the same price as the LA ones?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Craig is really helping out with info and this is a good website for the Cure obsessed. We will be able to help each other out with getting inside the theater to see our band. Kindness works I trust all of us will pay it forward.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Craig - I really admire all of your time and effort you put into COF - you are so helpful. and I am so pleased to see all the CURE fans helping each other out for the LONDON show here on COF. Makes me smile. I hope the same thing happens for LA/NYC.

Also as a Cure fan who went to Brussels 2002 and both Trilogy shows ... Not to mention the BEST CURE show I ever saw Hamburg 2002 all in less then one week - I can tell you it was all worth it!!! It is so amazing to see almost the same show THREE times in a row. The CURE are playing so good right now and the stripped down shows of Reflection are a longtime Cure fans DREAM COME TRUE. I WANT - no I NEED - no I HAVE to see all of them. Call me crazy. But I love and enjoy the CURE concerts the very most. Anyone who saw Reflections can tell you just how phenomenal it was in person.

This kind of stress does drive me a bit batty. I know. It also makes me worry that some of my dear old CURE friends will also not get in. I had a close friend NOT get in to the Troubadour 2008 and I had a close friend not get let back in to the 10/1997 show because of the firecode. So I do worry too much. I know - looking forward to the presales. Hopefully I will have all my tickets way before Halloween and I can just enjoy the day. and again Craig thanks for all of the years and COUNTLESS HOURS you put into helping all of us find out all the gory details. :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would be the poor soul Autumn is referring to that DIDN'T get into the Troubador show and listened out on the sidewalk until the police made us leave...if only I had flown in the night before from Oregon! Dang it! I have also bought a ticket from an outside source and been denied entry to see the Cure. So yes, my partner in crime is absolutely correct in saying that we are paranoid and stress out for good reason. Many music fans have 10-20 or more bands that they love and get to see live. I have a small handful and the Cure have always been #1 for me. I am all about the live Cure show experience, so tickets become largest priority. All three shows! We are all so fortunate to have Craig & chainofflowers to give us the most recent info each day. I would be LOST without Craig! Thank you a thousand times for all your time!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I just talked to Nederlander and asked if tickets sold on Oct. 31st would be mailed or held at Will Call for pick up with ID & Credit Card. The box office says all they know is that certain tickets will be mailed and others held at Will Call depending on the type of ticket purchased. He could not give me any specific details on the ticket type. Could be the Pit/Orchestra section or tickets priced at $105 will be held. Perhaps when Ticketmaster adds the shows to their site more details will be provided.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Is this a reaction from the band to the debacle that was the ticket sale for RAH I wonder ?

If it is its good to see they are atte, pting to do something to ensure the most amount of fans see this show

It's just a shame they wont do something to rectify the shambles for Europe

    ReplyDelete
  31. Keith - I'm not sure. There has always been a 2 ticket limit since the shows were first announced. It's the 2 tickets total that is new. That might have been the plan all along, or might be a reaction to what happened in London.

But please do not give up hope or buy from the touts just yet. There may be new chances to get in, soon.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Just want to give a dissent here re: scalping and fans etc...

A ticket is a commodity and music fans need to react to that. How much you LOVE the band has no bearing on your right to see them and pay as little as possible. I have seen the band over 50 times since 86, including extended time on the road in 96 and 08 (could I have picked worse tours?? nm) anyway, I bought a lot of scalper seats to get to sit where I like sitting. Never once did I think "ohh this sucks someone other than the band is making money here".

I go to a lot of shows and I participate vigorously on the secondary market. I suggest others do the same and offset some cost with revenue. People get upset at this saying that tickets should end up in the hands of fans. Well who do you think is shelling out the big bucks? Big fans that is who. People like me who need tickets to a particular show. If you are a really big fan, than have your butt at a pc ready to buy with a high speed internet connection and you will do fine at the onsale.

Look at it another way, if you bought a 68 Camaro at MSRP would you sell it for that same price to a guy who really loved Camaros? Of course you wouldn't, you would determine its value and ask for that value in return.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh and one more thing, all that being said I do applaud those who sell their seats at face value to other fans. You make up in karma what you lose in cash. That does not make it reflexively wrong to do the opposite however.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have bought scalped tickets for the Cure since 1989!! IN FACT - I saw my Cure fan husband buying scaled CURE tickets IN 1989! He got FRONT row and I bought 3 row. :) Good karma for sure. I have also spend countless hours in line sleeping in front of Tower Records trying to get good seats. Remember the old days before the computer!!! Wristbands!!! I have also bought a TON of scalped CURE tickets over the years - had to sometimes - it is unavoidable - LA Oct 1997. & other times I just could not handle having seats so far back. I would of course prefer to get them all online at face value. I am real impressed at all of the fans going to LONDON and helping eachother out...

Bottom line there is NO shame in BUYING scalped tickets. BUT if you have extra CURE tickets - post them on COF and help out a fellow CURE fan for a descent price. In all we all just want to see this wonderful band play these amazing old songs live.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thanks for the link to that DeRogatis article; although he's been mean to The Cure, I have to hand it to DeRogatis for embodying the anti-corporate, indie spirit -- unlike most in music journalism.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hey! I was planning on going to one of the LA shows with my mom and my boyfriend. So since it's a 2 tickets total rule, there isn't a way we could get 3 seats together- even though it'd only be 1 ticket per person? I'm kind of confused. It's two tickets per person, does this mean two tickets per transaction?? & If so, is there nothing else I could do to get 3 seats together for us?? (Besides scalping, 65 bucks is about all I could afford right now.) Thank you guys!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks for posting the link to that article Craig. It's an issue I particularly follow because here in Massachusetts we actually have laws governing reseller ticket prices which are routinely flouted. I don't think our capitalist society should bother with limiting ticket reselling, the scalpers will always find ways around the enforcement. Instead the big bands have got to take it upon themselves to create ticketing setups like NIN did, with a negotiated number of "fan" tickets tied to the picture ID's of the actual buyers. And the larger bands need to organize to include the smaller bands in that system since the little guys don't have much clout with venues. It's the only solution. I refuse to pay more than face value for a ticket. The one good thing about Stubhub/TicketNow is that I can often wait till just before the show, make an offer with customer service of face-value for the ticket I want (or less to teach the scalpers a lesson!) and it will often be accepted because the seller is afraid the tix will go unsold with the show about to start. Wouldn't work for something like Justin Bieber or whoever, but just fine for non-flavor of the moments.

    ReplyDelete
  38. When the Albert Hall tickets went on sale I bought as many as I could especially so I could sell them at face value to real fans. They were so oversubscribed I was only happy to ensure tickets were sold at the correct price. I know others would do the same for me - some of you are among them.

    ReplyDelete
  39. i won't lie, ticket scalping is so tempting. tell me you've never felt tempted to buy some tickets to someone like miley cyrus so that you could sell them the next day on ebay to all the crazy eleven year olds' parents. that has gotta be the quickest way to get some cash in the universe.

that said, nothing i've ever done, but it's hard to blame people for giving in to such a ridiculously simple way to make money.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well reading these comments I realize the article was right, it's not just the scalper's fault it's the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hello Everyone...it's been a while, and like everyone else, I am so looking forward to the upcoming shows.

Craig, as always, thanks so much for all of the timely and valuable info, it (and you) are appreciated so much more than you will ever really know and I am thrilled to hear that you will *finally* be taking in a show (it really has been way, way too long for you!)

On a related note, I was wondering if there was any more word about a potential pre-sale or does it look like all *official* tix will be available 31 Oct?

Just trying to plan accordingly, so thanks in advance for any update you can provide.

    ReplyDelete
  42. SG - Thank you. Can't wait to finally see them again. : )

No official word yet, but I'm betting on a couple of pre-sales for the week before the official on sale date. Typically, one or more of the following will offer a TM pre-sale - Citi, American Express, the venue, radio station.

For Citi & American Express or any other credit card pre-sales, you need to pay with that card and the password is the first 6 numbers on your card. Venue, radio, and others will mail out a password, usually the night before, which you can use for their pre-sales. You usually get these from signing up with their newsletters or liking their page on Facebook.

This is all just general info, and not specific to either Cure event. Just a heads up on what to be watching for. I will post any and all presale info on the front page, as we get closer to the sales.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Andrea - As of now, it looks like there wouldn't be any way to get 3 seats together unless it was by pure luck. You could buy two together, and then have your mom or boyfriend buy another, but the chances of them being together are pretty slim.

    ReplyDelete
  44. What is a Ticketmaster "outlet"? A store or other sites?

    ReplyDelete
  45. I want to go to two concerts, as i am travelling from Brasil.

As i think that the is quite impossibile to get tickets for two days (really hope i could buy for one of them), i wish someone do the same, as to make an exchange later...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ticketmaster outlets are various stores in the area that sell tickets. You can find a list here.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ticketmaster for LA shows, do you think that is 10 AM PST?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ben - Yes, 10 am Pacific for the LA shows, 10am Eastern for the NYC shows.

And forget about outlets for now. Looks like it might be online only, though I can't believe they wouldn't allow phone sales, too.

    ReplyDelete
  49. No phone sales, either. Tickets only available from Ticketmaster and only online.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hello all, I used to post as 'Unknown', but I've given myself a name now, lol. Here are my thoughts:

No pre-sales, and only online TM sales is good news/bad news:

    - Good news: The limitations of 2 per person, 3 different dates, and no pre-sales means the maximum amount of tickets will be available at the online sale. For the RAH show, you had 5000 people shooting for the same date. On different sites not meant to handle that volume. TM can handle it - especially for 3 different dates.

    - Bad news: No pre-sale does force everyone to buy at once, lol. But pre-sales usually only represent 5% of the tickets. The bad news is people like me with an Amex and Citi card have to wait.

Forget about phone calling or an outlet anyway. By the time the TM operator picks up the phone it's sold out. Last time I bought tickets through an outlet at a store, the dumb cashier couldn't figure out the system and I lost great seats. You don't want to rely on these minimum wage employees to get your Cure tickets.

Online TM is the best way. Based on what happened with RAH, I am sure the promoter has advised TM to be prepared.

If it's sold out within minutes - keep checking. They always release more tickets. Refresh all day long.

I'll be shooting for 2 tickets and will be selling one through COF for face value - if I can get them.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Let me also add it's been a few weeks since the announcement. Invariably, many casual fans have forgotten, or made holiday plans which interfere with the show. Add in the business of Halloween for many people, limitations of online activity at work, and the chances of getting a ticket for the date you want is significantly higher than the RAH show.

RAH had a lot going against it:

    - Onsale was days after the announcement, excitement was through the roof.

    - 1 date

    - Different sites selling tickets

    - 1 date, lol

A few things to get prepared:

    1. Make sure you have a online TM account set up with 2 or 3 payment options. Log in before tickets go on sale.

    2. Test your internet connection through speedtest.net , your 'upload' speed is more important as you will be trying to connect to the server.

    3. Relax. Even if it's sold out, there will be opportunities to get a ticket.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I don't see it listed on ticketmaster.com. Sorry if this has been covered a million times, but anyone else having trouble finding the event listing? Seems like it should be up by now...Just want to make sure I'm ready to go on the 31st

    ReplyDelete
  53. TM doesn't list the events until closer to the sale.

  54. Unrelated news..it looks like Seventeen Seconds is getting another vinyl press through Music On Vinyl this week. Interestingly enought, Seventeen Seconds was given the vinyl treatment in lastly in 2008 as a 2 LP 180 gram with extra tracks through Vinyl Lovers out of Russia, but this is just the standard version on 180G vinyl.

Interesting fact, it looks like Seveteen Seconds is the 2nd most licensed record The Cure has in the catalogue, with 46 different pressings (cd, vinyl, tape, etc.), right behind Disintegration with 47 different versions...talk amongst yourselves.....

More to come? Related to the Reflections shows or a simple coincidence that they repress the back catalogue every few years?

FYI..If you are looking to buy it, you can't get it directly through Music on Vinyl, you have to buy it through an actual store, like Amazon UK, Soundstagedirect.com or other vinyl sites....

  57. I am travelling from Oregon for the shows, but leaving for So. Cal on Nov. 12th. That leaves very little time for tickets purchased on Halloween to arrive via mail. Since the show hasn't been added to Ticketmaster online yet, we are left to wonder what our options are going to be...which drives me stark raving mad! I need to plan.

I spoke with the Nederlander box office yesterday regarding my out of town concern and WILL CALL. Although they were unable to give me many details, they did say there would be a PRINT AT HOME and MAIL OPTION. I asked if advance pickup would be possible at the box office prior to the show dates. But they could not tell me how WILL CALL was going to be handled for these shows. He said the box office is open 90 minutes before all shows.

The box office info page says: "Will call tickets may be picked up anytime during normal box office hours in advance and on the day of the event." However, the rules in place for these shows are quite different, so we'll see... If the Ticketmaster listing is still unclear once the dates are added I will call again next week and see if they have any more details. I'll keep you all posted!
Stay calm everyone! That goes double for me!!!

  58. Oh. My. God. I hope that we can all go on living our tragic lives uninterrupted as it were. BUT if god forbid we can't get tickets to THE CURE then I just don't know that destiny which may befall us. Perhaps we will commit suicide, who shall can know? But if that happens than we shall blame the ticket box office outlet web-site incorporated, from which all of our suffering originates. That's why I have turned to Religion.

  59. I so wish I could go to the LA show, unfortunately, high school and all inhibits... well... life! ;)

I just wanted to say to all you awesome lucky Cure fans to have sooo much fun, enjoy amazing music, and meet cool people!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Will there be any info released on the NYC show???

    ReplyDelete
  61. I certainly hope so, Tiffany! Very hard to get info from the venue/promoter for these shows, unlike with LA.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Pretty boggling that here we are less than a week before the onsale; and there is no link on Ticketmaster for either show, and the Beacon has no pricing information?

    Ridiculous.

Makes me wonder if the promoter for the NY show just hasn't decided on prices yet.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Just relax. We're all going to die eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Kind of starting to freak out here.

Does anyone have any information about the seats? I can figure the $105 ones will be the orchestra ones, but what about the others.

    Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Lia - Not really sure and probably won't know until TM posts the detailed breakdown. Looking at other shows, looks like the higher prices will be for center orchestra, the middle price for center mezzanine, and the lower prices for the sides.

Interesting thing I noticed when looking at Weird Al tickets there, is that the Pantages DOES allow for a pit. If Weird Al is doing a pit, you have to think The Cure will, too.

    ReplyDelete
  66. "NO MULTIPLE SHOWS PURCHASES WILL BE ALLOWED"

    OMG, this is SO ridiculous!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. No, it's not. It's an attempt to let as many fans as possible get to see at least 1 of the shows.

However, there is nothing stopping you from getting a friend or family member to buy a ticket to another show for you.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yeah, ok, but they raised the number of tkts to 4 each person for 1 show, so it's the same sh*

    ReplyDelete
  69. See I told you there was going to be a pit at Pantages but nobody listened to my crazy accusations about things I don't know anything about.

    ReplyDelete
  70. From two tickets to four tickets, and now back again. A little consistency, please?

    ReplyDelete
  71. This is very crazy. I just got the email today! Wack! 6 hours ago and now I come here to confirm and it's different.

    Here's the email I got: http://ticketmaster.em.marketinghq.net/functions/message_view.html?mid=216407&mlid=107&siteid=2008000106&uid=2b4156de36

  72. It sounds to me like Nederlander started getting nervous about selling out all three shows. But someone from The Cure must have slapped them back down to 2 max, lol.

The reality is these shows are Thanksgiving week. They are not shows for the 'casual' Cure fan. You won't be getting any 'hits' (except for Boys Don't Cry, lol).

Many people are traveling that week, or already have plans. As crazy as it sounds - the shows may not sell out.

  76. I got an email from Nederlander this morning notifying me tickets are going on sale this monday and there will be a FOUR ticket max per person???? Here is a cut and paste from the official email I got from Nederlander:

    The Cure
    Pantages Theatre
    November 21, 22 and 23

"Public On Sale: Mon, Oct 31 at 10:00 AM
There is a 4 ticket limit per person and
no multiple show purchases will be allowed."

I thought it was a 2 ticket max per person? According to The Cure's FB it's two tickets.

    ReplyDelete
  77. The email was a mistake. The limit was raised briefly to 4 tickets, then immediately lowered to 2 again. If you read the post on the front page, I addressed this:

Update (10/26): Change to the ticket limit according to the new email from Nederlander - "There is a 4 ticket limit per person and no multiple show purchases will be allowed."

I just confirmed this with Nederlander - "Ticket limit was just raised to 4 tickets! One show only."

And just to be 100% clear, I confirmed that the 4 could not be split over 2/3 nights - "correct, can't split it. One show only. 4 tix max for only one night."

See all of that above? Forget it! "And it just changed once again! Back down to a 2 ticket max. Best to check back with us Monday just in case!"

So as of this last update, the limit is currently 2 tickets for one show only.

And that's where it stands. If there are an further changes, I will post them.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thank you, Craig. :) I did read your post the other day about the ticket limit. But, I was taken back a bit when I read my email this morning from Nederlander explaining there would be a four tix max. I wrote Nederlander after reading their email. I will let you know what I find out when they write back. Thank god it's not four because we would pretty much have no chance in getting tickets if this were the case. I also noticed all the scalper sites took down their Cure tickets for the Los Angeles show. I wonder why? Thanks again, Craig.

    ReplyDelete
  79. No problem. Weird that you just got that email this morning, as it was sent out Wednesday.
But don't worry, there's no change. The official word is still a limit of 2 per person for 1 show.

    ReplyDelete
  80. "I also noticed all the scalper sites took down their Cure tickets for the Los Angeles show. I wonder why?"

Because they don't actually HAVE TICKETS, lol. They put those up because they 'projected' to be able to buy mass quantities and sell them.

    Oops.

The ticket restrictions just shot that plan down in flames. Even a scapler with 40 credit cards can only get 80 tickets to ONE show, lol.

The 2 ticket max total is a brilliant plan, and you're seeing the effects of it on the scalpers.

Most scalpers programs will buy mass tickets on a few credit cards or accounts. Problem here, is with the limitations, the numbers can't add up.

I mean to get 100 tickets you would need 50 credit cards, lol.

Typically can take a week or two to get approved, and in this economy no bank is going to approve 50 different credit card accounts in that amount of time.

So the profesional scalpers are screwed here, which is why they are pulling down the 'projected, phantom' tickets they don't have, and probably will not get.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks :) I understand. But I find it odd why the scalper sites still have up the New York shows and not Los Angeles. They both have a 2 ticket limit. Here is my theory... I may be wrong. But, maybe Los Angeles will use the ticketless ticket system where all you have to do is bring the original credit card and your ID which acts as your ticket... they swipe it at the gate, and you're in. From what I have heard (and I could have been misinformed) NY does not allow "ticketless" tickets. There will be hard copies mailed to you or maybe you'll be able to print them out from online via a PDF file. Therefore, it makes sense to me why the scalper sites are selling for NY and not LA. I'm sure this puts the scalpers in a bind with having to wait at the venue and walk the person in whom he sold the tickets to, on top of the 2 ticket limit per person. Another thing I noticed last night was, the NY show was up on Ticketmaster.com, but not the Los Angeles show. Time will tell, I guess. I wish everyone lots of luck with tickets on Monday :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. BTW, if this were the case.... the scalper would only make profit on one ticket out of two, or 50 tickets out of 100. The scalpers will loose out because they'll have to have their own ticket in order to walk the other person in, right? I don't know... my brain is tired, lol ;)

    ReplyDelete
  83. @ ToBeTwoSoulsAsOne

You may be right about the ticketless option for LA, we'll find out soon enough.

The point I was trying to make is the scaplers are in a real fix here. Sure, some will get tickets through connections they have with the venue. But they won't get the mass amount of tickets they usually do for shows like this.

I remember reading that for U2's NY performance in 2009, the scalpers bought 30% of the available tickets!!!

They played at a venue with 60,000 people, so that's like 18,000 tickets, lol. Figure if they even made a 10% profit on those we're talking a lot of money.

That's what the professional scalpers do - they buy in bulk.

They can't buy in bulk for either Cure show.

Why are there NY scapler tickets up? Probably because they anticipate they will be able to acquire tickets, and some people won't. Who knows.

In my experience, this is possibly one of the most fair and reasonable ticket buying chances for the average fan. The Cure did all they can short of you providing a DNA sample, lol.

  85. So now everything makes sense? As if by magic?

    ReplyDelete
  86. @ Paul K

The magic will happen if we can all get tickets, lol...

Still no LA listing on Ticketmaster 48 hours away from the onsale.

    Interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  87. They're keeping it off ticketmaster till the last minute as this has all been set up to serve the hardcore Cure fan. It will escape the attention of the greatest hits crowd.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @ Paul K

A good possibility. I have noticed the commentary on most Cure sites is actually quite low this weekend. Posting on many popular Cure forums is down.

Any casual person searching for The Cure isn't going to find anything listed on TM for LA. I guess the promoters for NYC wanted it up.

There are no ads anywhere in the LA area, I have a few friends there and they have seen nothing.

At this point it seems only you and I are even talking about the tickets this weekend, lol.

As I predicted when this was first announced, my bet is 50 - 60% of the people who would have bought tickets if the onsale date was the same as RAH (close to the announcement date) are going to forget come Monday morning at 10am.

    ReplyDelete
  89. AEG advertised the shows on an email two days ago.

    ReplyDelete
  90. 24 hours until the onsale...and nothing on Ticketmaster.

    Hmmmmm...

    ReplyDelete
  91. Ticketmaster not have the LA show listed is making me NERVOUS. So I came here, of course, to see if anyone else was talking about it (I'm glad you are).

The Pantages Theater site has a ticket buying option listed (of course, not on sale yet). Does anyone know if this would be a better place to buy tickets that Ticketmaster?

Good luck tomorrow, everyone. I am preparing to do battle.

    ReplyDelete
  92. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THOSE WHO TRY FOR TIX!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ticketmaster.com is the ONLY place you can buy tickets, unless you want to use a scalper/broker.

Don't worry, they will be listed before tomorrow morning.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I'm freaking out! It's tomorrow omgomg ughhh. So, I want to know!

What show is everyone going to!

    I'm going on Monday!

    ReplyDelete
  95. My final long arse speculation post to help ease nerves before tomorrow: I am predicting a much easier ticket buying experience tomorrow then RAH.

    The Reasons Why (pun intended):

    1. It's been a few weeks since the announcement. My bet is with Halloween activities, etc people are going to forget about the onsale.

    2. The internet buzz. Barely any commentary this weekend here, on cureconnections, and on other cure sites. Pollstar doesn't even have The Cure in the top 20 searched concerts, which means not that many people are looking for dates.

    3. Three shows with severe ticket buying limitations. All during Thanksgiving week. Not exactly an easy time for people to get away or get out of prior commitments.

    4. LA may now have a slight advantage over NYC as it's still not on TM, meaning the casual seeker won't see it.

    5. Scalper sites don't have that many tickets. In face, none have any for LA. Tickets are tight and have not been distributed.

    6. Set list. It's a dream for us hardcore fans. But for the 'casual' fan it's 40 odd songs and zero hits. Other than Boys Don't Cry, and if they keep the 1983 singles in the encore. For example, I dig Tom Petty, but I would only see him play the hits. If he was playing 3 full albums I didn't know, I wouldn't probably go.

Now does this mean it won't sell out in 1 minute like RAH? Who knows. As I've said before I don't underestimate the fervor of Cure fans. Back in 2008 both shows in NYC sold out - and they were much larger venues (MSG & RCMH).

Good luck to all. Remember, log in to TM ahead of time. Make sure your CC's or debit card is up to date.

See you on the other side, around 10:07am, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Fishbones,
COF will be in a stupendous frenzy tomorrow morning a good 3 hours before the LA tickets go on sale discussing what they did and did not score for their precious New York shows. On the west coast we will, keeping our dignity, ignore them as we wait patiently, sipping our morning cappucino, to zero in on the correct button to push on our computers with our high-speed internet connection at precisely 10:00:01.
oh, the excitement will be almost as palpable as attending the actual silly concert!
Don't forget to meet me in Hollywood before the show and have a drink! We might even do shrooms.

PS - Aren't you curious about whether or not there is going to be a pit, as I predicted after I visited a psychic and she read my palm.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Paul, have to admit I'm starting to get a bad feeling as to why the LA tickets aren't up on TM yet.

    ReplyDelete
  98. As much as I REALLY don't want to know - please share your thoughts as to why this might be a bad thing....what's next - avail only to LA locals??? Sheesh....

    ReplyDelete
  99. Someone posted on Cureconnections that the ticketmaster agent said they should have been listed already, and is looking into it.

No way could it be just for LA locals, lol. 6000+ people lining up for tickets?

I just don't like it this close to the game. Probably someone will wake up tomorrow am and have an 'oh shit' moment and get them listed.

    ReplyDelete
  100. OK are you going to be like this every moment from now until the concert?
    lol

    ReplyDelete
  101. Relax! As long as they get it posted by 9:59 am Pacific, all will be fine. Enjoy your night before Halloween.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Does anyone know how TicketMaster handles multiple names/credit cards at the same address? I'm trying to get a ticket for me and my gf but My mom would like to go too. I use my mom's address for all my billing info so I'm hoping that doesn't cause a problem for one of us.

    ReplyDelete
  103. See you tomorrow morning. Hopefully the LA shows will be posted by the time I wake up.

    ReplyDelete
  104. 11:32 PST and no listing yet. I don't see it as a big deal. As long as they are there before hand it'll be ok.

    ReplyDelete
  105. @ Dr. Fishbones: A lot of good points on why we shouldn't worry but I wouldn't read into the lack of talk online too much. I think this is only my 2nd post on the subject but I've been checking here and other places multiple times per day since the shows were announced. I'm sure there are others who are ready to buy even though they aren't really talking about it. I usually don't sleep well at night anyway but tonight is probably gonna be extra hard for me. Hopefully I'll feel better after 10am. Good luck to you and everyone else!

    -Brian

    ReplyDelete
  106. Good luck, everyone! The stress is (hopefully) almost over. Happy Halloween!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Less than three hours, and they're still not on the site. I understand that they're trying to keep scalpers away, but this is ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Hey, so who knows about calling? What time should we call in to get tickets?

    ReplyDelete
  109. They say no phone sales for LA tickets, but give it a try while waiting online.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Damn, this is really stressing. 2 hours 11 minutes to go for LA tickets

    ReplyDelete
  111. just called ticketmaster and they've no record or any thing about the LA show going on sale today. What the hell!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. we will have to spend the whole day searching the ticketmaster site for LA tickets???

    ReplyDelete
  113. I hope not. Hopefully just an easily correctable error if they really don't know about it. Hoping they just haven't made it "live" in the system yet, so that's why they don't know about it.

    ReplyDelete
  114. LA : http://www.ticketmaster.com/The-Cure-tickets/artist/915776

    ReplyDelete
  118. I can't stand it. 11 minutes to go and I'm freaking out! Browsers all over the place, but I'm scared to click on the actual link for fear I'll get locked out. Sheesh. This is nuts! And kinda fun!

    ReplyDelete
  119. This is going to be my last Cure show...I really hope I get tickets.

It seems like there is more publicity for this show than any since the Dream Tour shows. Why couldn't this have been more like the American Legion Hall or Troubadour shows with hardly an fanfare at all. Of course I got shut out on those as well...oh well best of luck to all COFers trying to score, hope you have a good "system"!!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Heya Craig...been losing my hearing to Meniere's disease since 2007...I really only hear about 60% of the frequencies at this point. Would really like to hear I'm Cold before I'm deaf though!

  121. Oh, okay. Very sorry to hear that. Hope you get in! Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Just a few more minutes to go! Good Luck cure Peeps trying for the LA show! Hope you all get a ticket!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Keep trying! Single seats still available!

    ReplyDelete
  126. I hate dealing with ticketmaster. I got through so fast, and I was trying for Tuesday night, which I think will be the least popular of the three nights. I entered the code word garbage, and then it said I had to wait 1 minute. Then that jumped to 6 minutes. It went down to less than 1 minute, then jumped back up to 6 again, then went down to less than 1 minute. Then it just bounced back and forth between approximately 1 minute and less than 1 minute for like 5 minutes. They need to beef up their server and bandwidth or something.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I got a ticket, but I had to use a school computer becuase I'm in class. So I'm nervous, it's unlikely other people at school also bought tickets (I'm on the other side of California) but I'm not sure how Ticketmaster is defining a "household."

Guess I'll find out tommorow? Then I'll get excited!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Got one ticket for Tuesday night. Tried really hard for two but was getting no luck. Started to freak out it might sell out so I just went for the one and I got it. I'm coming to you LA. :)

    ReplyDelete
  129. Household just means your address. So unless everyone is using your home address, you're fine.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I'm willing to trade $$ for 2 Monday tickets :)

    ReplyDelete
  144. Woo hoo! Got one ticket. Row V seat 111. Looks to be close to center. I am happy to be there.

Thank you Craig for all you do. You are a priceless resource for all things Cure!

  145. got my two tix for the third day, they're at the back, but i don't care. But if someone wants to swap for monday i'm cool!

    ReplyDelete
  146. TC, I'd trade, but my seat for show 2 is worse. Orchestra, Row XX, Seat 2.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Tried for two, but kept getting my wait time bumped up then down then up again. So just tried for singles after 15 minutes. Got two singles for Wednesday and only two rows apart. Pretty happy.

    ReplyDelete
  148. You should've waited! That's why it says 'do not leave this page' ;-) I waited like 4 minutes. I was able to get a great pair of orchestra tix

    ReplyDelete
  149. Just got a second single for Tuesdsy night, hoping to trade so my husband and I can sit together, right now one is mezz and the other orch. Also tried calling, seems like TM are trying to accommodate people and allowing you to cancel previous orders of a single if they can can find you 2 tix together.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I did wait. It ended up bringing back no tickets.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Everyone looking to trade, please also post in the sale/trade topics I just posted.

    ReplyDelete
  152. @ monty and crowbi: you mention you have tickets for two different nights, but just one ticket each night. I wonder if they are safe from being cancelled, since the notes stated 2 tickets max, for one show only? just curious.

    ReplyDelete
  153. The good Dr. got 1 ticket, Orch row W in the center. Not bad. Trying for a second ticket, if I get one I'll let Craig know.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I got them I got them :) Kept trying for singles and got a couple on the Mezzanine, one is row N seat 301 I think, and the other was row J 112 or something...still can't think but two tickets at all seems like a miracle at this point...Just wish I hadn't selected the highest-priced category at the beginning which wasted so much time...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  158. Namepa, wanna trade the QQ for another XX?

    ReplyDelete
  159. @Mojo - Had a friend purchase my second ticket. Only one ticket under my name, my card, my address. No chance of it being cancelled. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  160. Show 2 appears to have sold out.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Tuesday night - I have one ticket in Mezz row F center and one Orch row NN right of center, anyone interested in a possible trade, would love to have two close together.

    ReplyDelete
  162. That was the worst experience. Clicked "find tickets" at exactly 10:00 and got the "not on sale screen". Went back; same deal. Finally after 3 minutes got to selection screen. Picked 2 tickets then filled in the stupid letter security then went to the waiting screen. 15 minutes, then 6 then 11 up and down for about 10 minutes. Finally kicked to "no tickets match your request" screen. HATE!!
But, got 2 tickets to Tuesdays. Had to change flight and hotel, but I'll be there. Just awful.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Steerpike- Same thing happened to me. I was there and able to get in at 10am...then was delayed the same way. So sad. No luck.

  165. Scalpers are already at it! :( Would Ticketmaster cancel scalped tickets if they were pointed out to them? I know that some tickets were canceled for the London show, but that was a different ticket company.

  166. Really wasn't that bad for me, went on around 10:05am, it cycled for about 3 minutes and popped up a decent ticket.

  167. Wow! What an intense morning. I was able to get one center Orchesta level ticket and then went back about 30 min. later and got one for mezz row B. They kept coming up after the on sale time. I used the New York show as pratice this morning and I pulled up 14 tickets there (of course I didn't buy them and I am hoping it kept the scalpers from getting a hold them). Could this be because I am out of state? I helped someone score 2 tickets on Saturday for RAH by keeping them in my shopping cart (kept re-adding them to my cart to keep them secure) I checked The Ticket Factory just for fun... and two tickets popped up. Keep the "faith" everyone :) Keep checking back. Good luck to everyone. BTW, use the Opera browser so you can set it to automatic refresh where you choose how often you want to refresh the page. It does it by itself. All you need to do is keep an eye on your screen and click the timer once more to "never" the second you see the tickets pop up. Hopefully this will work for scoring tickets as of now. It work for tickets for RAH, New York and Los Angeles. Again, good luck everyone. BTW. I kept my promise and purchased two tickets even though I only needed it one. I just gave it away to another Cure fan free of charge. Like I said... Us Cure fans need to stick together! Curekisses! :)"

  168. MojoJackson808, yeah I know it's a risk.

I used two different TM accounts to buy the two tickets. Different CCs, and I did ticket fast deliver to two separate email addresses. So hopefully it's safe. It's still only two tickets total, but spread across two nights. Small rule violation, indeed.

  169. My friend bought 1 ticket for 2 different nights (2 tix total). Based on the way it's worded, another friend and I think that one or both of those tix would get canceled. How do you guys interpret this?
"There is a strict two (2) ticket lmit across all three shows per household. You are allowed to purhcase two (2) tickets only for one show. Any orders exceeding the ticket limit will be cancelled with out notification."

To me that clearly says "(2) tickets for ONE SHOW" but he doesn't see it that way. I hope I'm wrong for his sake though.

  170. Began trying at 9:55 am PST. Finally at 10:02 I got a "Find Tickets" button. After filling out the security phrase, the wait time/swirly screen went up to as high as 18 mins before finally dipping down to "less than one minute." At around 10:13 the request finally went through... no tickets available... despite having selected "best available/any price." Same deal with the second browser I had going, which I targeted for "mezzanine" as a back-up. Unbelievable. I don't understand how some people were able to get tickets. Finally around 10:34 after trying maybe two dozen more times I was able to get a mezzanine seat off to the side, about half way back. Very disappointed. This was for the second night.

  171. I think many of us had the same experience. And the fact that only 20 minutes after they went on sale, you could purchase tickets to these shows on stub hub for the low low price of $1000 PER TICKET. Some are as low as $180 per ticket but still; twice as much, and less than a half hour after they went on sale. How did that happen?

  172. @Monty, if those two CCs are linked to two different billing addresses then you should be fine. (If it's the same billing address then I'd guess you're in trouble.)

  173. Now the 3 week wait until the show, lol... I won't be happy until the lights go down and I hear the first guitar sounds of 10:15 through the amps, lol.

For those of you who did not get a ticket, keep trying - my friend got on for 11/22 about 20 minutes ago.

  174. @Xploding_Boy

I believe you can only have 2 tickets for one show (the same show) You can not purchase 1 ticket for one show then a second for another. It said on the email I received from Nederlander "no multiple show purchases will be allowed" I wish your friends luck.

  175. Can you imagine what an even bigger mess and quick sell out this would have been with no limitations or 4 per person for any show, lol?

Actually, we can imagine, the RAH show was a good example.

  176. I hope most fans are attending only ONE night...to make it fair. It's been clear that many Cure fans have been struggling to get tickets and it's upsetting to know that there will be people attending all three nights.

  177. Does anyone know how fast the Los Angeles and NY concerts sold out? The official time? I'm just curious. I hope these three weeks go by fast. But, I know it's going to feel like an eternity. So excited... can't wait!

  178. @ kinoeye. you shouldn't be dissapointed that you got a mezz ticket. you should be thankfull you got a ticket. by the looks of it the venue seems to have no bad seats. the experience will be amazing where ever you'll have your spot.

  179. @ ToBeTwoSoulsAsOne

They were both sold out within an hour. Maybe less. However you could not get 2 tickets together much past the 10 - 15 minute mark.

  180. @ Antti... That is what I've heard as well. My mom has been to the Pantages and she said all seats are good seats. Not a bad seat in the house. She said it is pretty small as well :) I think it's awesome they're playing in such a small venue. Everyone will be close compared to a stadium concert. The Pantages only holds 2,700 people, I believe and a stadium holds.. well, you know. It's going to be one great show and I can't wait.

  181. @Dr. Fishbones. Thanks for the info. Wow, an hour? That is a long time. I did have two side by side tickets in my cart, but this was the second they went on sale (I used an atomic clock) but threw them back into the mix to see if I could get better. I am happy with my seats. I have two seats to pick from since I'm giving one away to another fan. Which do you think is better? Center orchestra NN or Mezz left row B? I know the orchestra NN seat is only 10 or 11 rows back from the "premium" seats. But it looks like the mezz hangs over the seats below making it look like it's closer and since it's only Row B I would only have one row of people that will be in front on me. I really do not know which ticket to use. Thanks again.

  182. I started searching for two tickets online as soon as it hit 10:00 (actually, when it was 10:00 on my computer's clock, they weren't listed for sale yet, but I immediately refreshed). Like all of you, it said that my wait time was 1 min, then 3, then 5, then 15, and then the connection timed out around 10:15. I called the number instead and got two tickets while still searching online. Then, for some unknown reason (still unknown, even the bank has no idea), it didn't accept my credit card. So, while I was going around in circles with the stupid automated system, I had to start searching for single tickets. So frustrating. One of the most frustrating things is that from all of my attempts, I have $700 of TM charges still pending on my credit card even though none of them went through.

I did eventually purchase two single tickets online with my debit card (not the card I wanted to use). I will never understand why TM online says that it can't find any tickets matching my search when I select "best available" and submit the request the moment the tickets go on sale. I learned:
    1) I can't trust my credit card to work.
    2) Don't even waste time trying to buy tickets online. Call in.
If I would've called in right at 10 and used my debit card, then I would have a seat next to my dad and be in a better section.

    /rant, haha.

  185. @ ghanisbuli

It rejected my first buy as well, fortunately the second round I got better seats and used a different card.

The problem is the stupid 'Visa Verify' feature. I used a Mastercard on the second round and the sale went right through.

I won't ever use a Visa for a ticket purchase like this again.

    ReplyDelete
  186. @ dr. i was unable to buy tickets because of the verified by visa feature which didn't work. it was so frustrating! i was able to pull okay seat for saturday nyc show but the veryfying didn't work. for future i have to get a mastercard or a visa that doesn't need veryfying. luckily a friend of mine was able to buy me a ticket.
