The "out of phase" concept makes sense only when we are talking about 2 or more pickups simultaneously. When only one pickup is on, there is no "out of phase" as there is no other pickup to be out-of-phase to. So, if all pickups are "out of phase" as you say, there is no difference whatsoever to the "in phase" config. So, which pickup(s) are reverse connected (which makes them out-of-phase to the non-reverse connected ones)?

ReplyDeleteRoberts 'main' Bass VI is wired out of phase (see Brian May wiring) the rest are all stock (Simons black and Porls White VI)
