Ha! I'm talking to the great Craig! Never have. Thanks man for this great site, I've been stopping by here for years. I believe we were at the same Dallas show in 2004! I'm on An iPod touch right now so that might have something to do with the link sending me nowhere.
This takes me way back to when I discovered The Cure, Inbetween Days was the first video I seen. I was not used to the big hair, except from bands like Ratt, Cinderella, and others from that genre, I thought to myself "What a weak metal band?". Oh how naive I was back then.
Fantastic to watch on a big TV ! The Cure should be releasing pro-shot footage from all their tours, no matter how little there is... Footage of pro-shot live shows is brilliant. Boris rules !
WOW this sounds good! Sound quality is amazing, video quality is good, performance is great. Seems pretty intense and, dare I say, maybe even a little more punk than usual. Summer of '85...this would have been among the first(ish) shows with Boris and what I would consider the definitive Cure lineup...very much still on the ascent at that time...
This is also the second show with Simon back on bass, the first show being the famous Barcelona one a week before.....Vibrant and punchy to say the least..
Where is this twenty min vid at?
ReplyDeleteAt the link in the story. You might need to wait a few minutes for it to load.

ReplyDeleteThank you. : )
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a Flash video, so that's probably it. Very nice set. They do 100 Years, Give Me It, and A Forest. Definitely worth checking out.
I want to go back to 1985. See my dad, the old house, and the f*****g CURE.
ReplyDeleteGreat link. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing stuff! Thanks!
ReplyDelete(That keyboard sound on One Hundred Years is, however, plain and simply dreadful! lol)
Boris looks really strange. didn't recognize him!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link Craig!

ReplyDeleteGary, a lot of the 1985 shows had this type of intense / aggressive edge to them.
