  57. Just back from the show - frigging awesome setlist.

We were in the section referred to as "gold" by Fuji - on the rail in front of Simon.

The setlist was unbelievable - who could ever have imagined something so fabulous.

    This has been amazing.

    COF Peeps ARE the best

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  60. Mad Bob: At least they didn't play it. You can take some happiness in that, right?

    I'm so very sorry. : (

There will be better days ahead, my friend. Trust me.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thanks a lot Craig.

I was very afraid on checking the setlist.

I know better days will come soon.

It´s not easy to get through over this, but i´m thinking positive.

"Time will heal, make me forget"

    "The best idea I think
Is for me to go my way... ( you know the rest )".

So, now, i´m off to bed.

Again, thank you, thank you so much Craig.

    See you soon around here.

    Good night.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Goodnight, Mad Bob. Take good care of yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  63. 493 posts! cant read all that..in a nutshell awsome setlist and order of play was great..A forest so early worked for me....shit venue outside far too corporate..ok once inside...a croos btween Bercy and Barcelona..sounds cavernous?it is...but close to the stage was good...2 grate nights for me !! xx

    ReplyDelete
  64. Bloody brilliant set, wonderful night underneath the dome!

At least one song from each album ~ Robert, you're a genius xxx

    ReplyDelete
  65. Wonderful show and setlist. Robert was clearly racing against the clock to get it all in under the time constraints and he kept his promise about a journey through time. One song from albums 1-12 and 6 from 4:13 (for us in the UK who had only previously seen TOO and Freakshow).

Heron and Jo - Great to meet you albeit very briefly. Sorry to rush off straight after but we had a long drive ahead of us.

Hope at least some of the video is usable. I got told to stop twice by security, had trouble working it and it was quite tight where I was stood. Most of the footage is of my feet I fear! ;-(

More on the show later - work beckons!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. great show, i danced like a maniac from The Forest (that came early!) onwards, on level 4 at the side of the stage, quite a few other people dancing up there too, mostly chilled and no trouble. it did look great from up there, the sea of people below, though quite steep and not a perfect angle, and it did feel like a full Cure set, the encore obviously helped.... ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  67. what did he mean at the end "see you in May"?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Sorry to have missed the chat, but what a setlist! I am so happy for those who were able to attend, too!

Thank you to Olivier, Heron and Craig!

    ReplyDelete
  69. he said "see you in may"? weird! is that when that festival in europe is? maybe they will do a dark album tour :D *wishful thinking*

    ReplyDelete
  70. he said see you again!!!

quality set list my wife went mental when they brought back disintegration as it is one of her favourites,

All the songs of the new album sounding strong.

we done Bob with all my ticket hassles (yes i had presale nightmare with the company going tits up) i loved you stuck it to the nme as very few "hits" for the casual fan

    ReplyDelete
  71. Those posted reviews are nice, overall.
Wish I could have seen it all... but I'm stuck in my wooden shack in freezing Québec.

But now it's time for the dark album to rise!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. i liked to reviews, the last one not so much but overall i enjoyed them.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hey Jo, thats "Gallup Gold" section.

The week in the Procure/COF unit was incredible. I met so many people id almost die for that im in cure fan heaven.

Dont ever want this week to end.

That setlist was worth every mile over russia that i covered.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Thanks to everyone who posted their pic & videos! I loved looking at it all! Makes me feel like I was there.

Thanks for the reviews too. Glad to read that jo, perfect.murder, thomas, s&th, fuji & robet had a Awesome Night! The Golden COF Peeps!!! Great set-list too!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Do you think the reviewer from The Final Sound liked the gig?

That was one of the most positive reviews I have read in recent history about The Cure. Pitchfork should start taking down notes from critics like that (i.e critics with ears).

    ReplyDelete
  76. Craig, my heart soared when I heard the waves. There were no tears for me at the shows, but I swear, as I sit here in London on my last morning, the tears are stating to flow.

What an AMAZING week! I love my Cure friends and I adore the Cure.

Words can NEVER explain what this experience has meant for me.

I am so glad that I can put faces (and hugs) to so many names.

    Thank you to everyone.

Hopefully, I will see you all in Vegas.
