as much as i get tired of hearing all those pop songs - i still get crazy hearing them live! they are fun!

    ReplyDelete

  23. Pretty good setlist! Not as good as an Atlanta show, but very good indeed!
Lacking some Pornography though... A Strange Day is awesome played by this lineup

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  28. It seems to me a lot of you are shirking your duties at work!

    ReplyDelete
  29. MissCure - nope, that's Xploding_Boy

crowbi_wan is the reason you have a bootleg audio of the secret show.

    ReplyDelete
  30. RP: I was here until 11 last night, so I am going to shirk away! :P

    ReplyDelete
  31. rose - I sure am! I am just waiting for my boss to pop in here and ask "what are you doing?"

    ReplyDelete
  32. However hard I want, I know deep down inside I'll never really get more hope, or any more time...

    Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  33. If you consider bouncing back and forth between fun and work computers every 60 seconds, then yeah, I'm "working" : )

    ReplyDelete
  34. there are MUCH more important things is life than work.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    its me and deej's song!!!

and craig - my life would be OVER if i was banned from cof!!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I need my sleep, I cant do 48hrs with no sleep...you will not see a pretty side to me if that happens....ALTHOUGH there are some pills that could help me through that

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think Andy should work for CNN. He's better than that fat bald guy that does the news!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Primary > Want > Hungry Ghost! That has me drooling just a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Chris is unbanned from COF. : )

    ReplyDelete
  52. chris - i hope not, but Sean was spreading a rumour about the cure playing a rooftop in LA.:(

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  61. Rosepetals - yep. :D

    ReplyDelete
  62. *Craig gives V his shoulder to cry on*

    ReplyDelete
  63. Okay, I have to go pick up my kids from school! I should make the little brats walk! It's only 14 miles and I may possibly miss an important update!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. SEAN, IF YOU READ THIS. QUIT IT WITH YOUR BEATLES-ISH CURE ROOFTOP GIG RUMOUR. FESS UP WHERE YOU HEARD IT FROM OR DON'T SAY A ANYTHING *pre-Freakshow*

    ReplyDelete
  65. wow.wow.wow. The gang must be in heaven right now!

    ReplyDelete
  66. GOD I LOVE DISINTEGRATION!!

screaming like this in the whole of sincerity screaming over and over and over...

    ReplyDelete
  67. Craig: Thank you. :'( ER probably thinks I'm crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Songs about happiness murmured in dreams, and the both of us knew how the ending would be...

    ReplyDelete
  69. V: Ha! I know what you're thinking! : P

    ReplyDelete
  70. now that i know that i'm breaking to pieces, i'll pull out my heart and feed it to anyone. crying for sympathy, crocodiles cry for the love of the crowd and the three cheers from everyone. drop me through sky through the glass of the roof, through the roof of your eye, through the eye of the needle, it's easier for me to get closer to heaven than ever feel whole again!

improvised on the spot, but a verse i love.

    ReplyDelete
  71. 10 minutes left. I put money on them over-running.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Awe Disintegration! I love it! Laura must be in heaven right now. Thanks Andy for telling me who is who. Now I remember though, I was thinking that Crowbi-wan was Brandon. I knew X-ploding boy was Brian.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Is Bob suffering from dementia...Tyhe only song on that list so far that wasn't played last year is hungry ghost...and thats because it wasn't released at the time...same old set list again...just different playing order because of the short time

    ReplyDelete
  74. im sure hes got something else in store...

    ReplyDelete
  75. Chris - hopefully not from the Trinity Street store though.

    ReplyDelete
  76. bitching! just like the old days!

    *guitar wails*

    ReplyDelete
  77. I have been lurking and was going to call 100 yrs next, heh. Nice set.

    ReplyDelete
  78. One Hundred Years. Possibly my favourite Cure song of all <3

    ReplyDelete
  79. "It doesn't matter if we all die..."

Similar to the diary entry I'd have written tonight if I were at this show... ;) *snicker*

    ReplyDelete
  80. YES!!!!!!!!!

lots of non-cure fans are now standing around saying...wtf is this?

and the rest of us ERUPT!!!

    ReplyDelete
  81. they're rapidly running out of time though...He's full of it..

This band have become so boring and predictable ....such a shame

    ReplyDelete
  82. arrrg! This is awesome! Disintegration and 100 Yrs back-to-back. I could cry.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Keith: I'm pretty sure Robert meant songs they didn't play last year at the London show.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Why ?

there are no new songs on there since last year with the exception of hungry ghost

    ReplyDelete
  85. Keith: to each their own. This has been an awesome set.

    ReplyDelete
  86. *stands behind andy and points and yells: YEAH! what he said!! YEAH!!"

they didnt play hungry ghost on the 4tour - so they'll prob play another - REASONS WHY???

HG was only during Rome and LA...sooo...technically is IT new

    ReplyDelete
  87. Keith - for saying they're predictable and it's a shame. a Cure show is a Cure show and that makes it amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  88. This is the set list from last year.

    /homepages/ChainofFlowers
    /march2008.html

    It's nothing like tonights.

    ReplyDelete
  89. When's the last time they only played one song from Disintegration? I never would have guessed that!

    ReplyDelete
  90. It depends which show you went to last year; London was very skinny on the new songs; TOO, FS and ABINK were the only ones they played

    ReplyDelete
  91. yes!!!

but they MUST do on encore!!!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I dunno. it's already 11pm.

    wishing for an encore tho.

    ReplyDelete
  99. whatever guys....

the fact is the set list tonight does not contain any new songs since the 4tour...with the exception as I said of hungry ghost which wasn't released at the time.

This band have become lazy in my opinion and I love them to bits...but I can still criticise them

    ReplyDelete

  102. @Keith:

Songs they didn't play last year (in London):

Underneath The Stars, The Perfect Boy, Sleep When I'm Dead, Maybe Someday, Want, The Hungry Ghost.

    ReplyDelete
  103. *Waves* DJ you missed the most unpredictable set ever!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Oh yeah, Andy thanks for the F5 thing. That works so much better then going back and forth and all that crap.

    ReplyDelete
