  1. I saw Amanda Palmer play a solo show last year and she talked about her Robert love between songs...so afterwards I told her that he'd kissed me once and her eyes almost popped out of her head! Cute.

  3. Yes--far back on the floor but I was there! :)

  4. oh wow. If I hadn't already made a lot of noise to all my friends about how much I despise Facebook applications, I would totally rock that ap out. I mean, wait, what? I don't have Facebook... heh heh.

PS there are multiple Facebook Cure groups out there, do the majority of anyone here participate in any of these? I'm in one called "The Cure" and I started a fucking brilliant discussion thread (which 3 Cure songs do you absolutely hate?), but other than that this place is far superior.

mmm... I think all of the sudden I'll start actually interacting here instead of lurking...

  5. regina - I thought you might have been the chick standing next to my hubby cos she had also kissed/been kissed by Robert but we were second row on the floor so I guess it wasn't you.

  6. I wish I'd been that close in San Diego to see Robert toss the mic into the audience! It was hard to tell what was going on from where I was.

  7. It was kind of funny cos the guy who caught it didn't realize that Robert expected somebody to sing and he just kind stood there with a blank look on his face before he handed it to somebody behind him and so ensued the rather weak audience rendition of CTM

  8. LOL. Poor guy!
Robert came right up to us in Atlanta during Let's Go To Bed and at one point he held the mic down by his side and looked right at me and I had a split second of utter terror, remembering San Diego, because I thought he might toss it at me! Luckily, he didn't.

  9. I don't think the sound guys like it when he does it cos they have to retrieve it afterwards - as you can imagine, fans aren't that keen on giving back Robert's mic.

  10. you could use the mic as a dildo, after all.

  11. Well, it *was* during Let's Go To Bed...;)

  12. well then there ya go!

yeah, i would have been mortified to have the mic tossed at me. MORTIFIED.

i think robert refrained from doing that again because of the lackluster fan participation at the shrine. i think it makes some fans too uneasy.

  13. Yeah, it would have scared the hell out of me. I only wanted Robert singing TO me. Not WITH me!

  14. of course that begs the interesting / revealing question, "during which Cure song would it be most terrifying to have a microphone tossed at you?"

I say, "The Caterpillar" because I would end up saying a dirty word what with all the "flicka" and all...

  17. ALTHOUGH: During the pop encores when Bob gets really nutty and I get all giddy, I would likely jump at the chance to get on stage with him and dance. But ONLY in the passion of the moment, as it were. Indeed, Anah and I were ready to jump the barricade during the pop encores in Charlotte, were we not, Anah?

  18. Hey there,

Not sure who or how to mail this out to the blog here, so I'll just put it in a comment. Here is a cover song, from the Watson Twins doing Just Like Heaven. Not sure if it has been previously posted or not, but here you go: http://www.myspace.com/thewatsontwins

    Cheers,
