The Cure to Release New Single ‘Alone’ This Week
The band's long-awaited new single will come along with full details of their next studio LP Songs Of A Lost World
The Cure have announced that their new single ‘Alone’ will be released this week, the first track from their first new studio album in sixteen years, Songs Of A Lost World.
The song will debut on Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC Radio 6Music show on 26 September between 10.30am and 1pm.
That day will also see full details shared of Songs Of A Lost World, which the band have been teasing in recent weeks. You can see artwork for the new single below.
Songs Of A Lost World will be The Cure’s first album since 2008’s 4:13 Dream, with a release date of 1 November confirmed in postcards that were sent out to the band’s fans. A poster was also erected outside the Crawley pub where they played their first ever show.
A preview of ‘Alone’ was made available to fans who signed up to The Cure’s website and joined a WhatsApp community, who were sent a short audio clip.
